My family and I needed a place to meet for a few hours to fill out a memory binder for my sister who passed a year ago. We stumbled on. Cafe 28 on Instagram and couldn't be more thrilled that we did. The staff was next level friendly and took amazing care of us for a few hours we were there. It was a rainy and dreary day and a heavy day emotionally for us, so the warm and inviting interior of the café were extra appreciated. The decor is adorable. The menu is impressive and many items are made from scratch. We enjoyed everything that we tried! I got one of the best matcha lattes I've had in a long time-- it was an apple crisp matcha latte. My sister got an apple crisp chai latte and loved it as well. My brother got a maple cinnamon latte and had to stop himself from guzzling it down. My mom got a grilled cheese on sourdough with homemade tomato soup and it was the perfect comfort food. We tried a breakfast sandwich on a croissant, and for such a simple sandwich, it had no business being as good as it was. Several of us got the breakfast wrap because it just sounded too good to pass up, and it was... Wishing I could have one right now.... the special sauce on the wrap totally makes it. They clearly use quality ingredients and everything they make, and the bacon was impressive quality as well. There is free parking across the street. I am not sure how often I will find myself in this part of Ohio, but if I were ever even kind of in the neighborhood, I would make a detour to stop here again; it was that good. read more
