A group of friends were craving Chinese food so we decided to check out Restaurant La Baguette d'Or. Although it looks small and unassuming from the outside (I assumed it was just another cheap student spot since it's over at Plainpalais), the inside was decorated well and it was definitely not cheap. We ordered a bunch of meats and vegetables to share. The food was fine. It wasn't great and at times I felt like it was a bit under seasoned, but it was passable and if I am desperately craving Chinese food, I will return.

Yelp Review 2026 #139:…read more Brezelkonig is in every major city train station in Switzerland. But the one in Bern has got to be the best location I've been to. Catching a super early morning train means having to grab something that will hold me over until I get breakfast at my next destination. This location is open by 5am and they already have all sorts of options. I've been to a Brezelkonig location that's open early but they only have 3 things ready! I like their jalapeño pretzel, and their croissant with chocolate. It's quite filling. The jalapeño pretzel has some sort of bacon/ ham and the jalapeños were pretty spicy . They have a machine that makes fresh bagels.

I shared two portions with two other girls and was perfectly satisfied for my late night munchies! It seems like they have a decent menu for students as well; will come back again to try their bratwurst and beer combo! There's seating outside as well as indoors upstairs. The waitress was wearing a dirndl and was very nice- in fact she convinced us to come in haha! The best part is that they're open much later than stated here on Yelp and on their menu. We went at 23h and they were still open when we left near midnight.
