It's been 12 years since I've been here, and I'm happy to say the garlic soy wings still taste just as amazing as I remember! The chicken is juicy, the marination is packed with flavor, and the batter has stayed perfectly consistent over the years. This was our first stop as soon as we arrived in Philly, and honestly, the traffic getting here was worth it. I didn't even get a chance to take pictures because we dove right in the moment they hit the table! Thank you again Soho for leaving such a lasting and delicious imprint on our bellies!

Food: 6/10 - my standard for Korean food is high, which is why this is on the lower rating side, nothing tasted bad, but it definitely was not authentic. For the value, $30 ddukbokki was kind of subpar. It was on the "soupier" side, a lot of vegetables, rice cakes were cooked evenly, a lot of cheese, a few pieces of odeng (fishcakes), overall didn't really have the authentic taste, but the soup itself was pretty rich flavor. The bulgogi kimbap was good, bulgogi was cooked nicely and they used fresh ingredients. Atmosphere: 8/10 - this is like a Korean pub bar feel atmosphere, mostly come here to get wings and chicken, and beer. I wouldn't say it's like a dinner place but portions are large enough for a full meal! Service: 10/10 there is a call button to bring your waiter or waitress to your table. Tips: There is free parking in the back and also a lot of free parking on the streets. Kind of felt unsafe parking my car there though. Not in the best neighborhood by Philly standards. Would I come back here again? Maybe for the chicken, but not if I'm craving Korean food. But also, Korean food in Philly is pretty lacking, so this place might be good for locals who just want something quick.

Juicy meaty crunchy largish wings. My fave was the garlic. Soooo yummm! Also enjoyed Bulgogi w/rice & pork belly, lychee bubble tea, & cafe mocha bubble tea (which could be a dessert!) Allll goood! Great service. Cute , clean spot. Comfy seating. About 1.5 miles away from Jefferson Einstein Hospital.

The best Korean fried chicken wings in town! Never disappointed me once. I always order their half and half with spicy sauce and soy garlic. Their wings are so delicious and crispy. This place is still on my top #1 list of best Korean fried chicken wings. No other places can beat this one yet in Philadelphia. Even when I order to go, their wings are still crispy and flavorful after I get home an hour later. You must try their Korean soju fruit drinks, especially pineapple soju. It is so good and refreshing. A must try! Service is excellent as always and they have plenty of seats available, because more people are coming for take out. The atmosphere is nice with Korean music videos are playing on their big screen TVs. Even though it takes me 40 minutes to get there, I still come back for their chicken.

Extra crispy wings. I like that the batter is not too thick on the wings and has a good crunch. Bulgogi kimbap tasted exactly as it's supposed to. We got half Korean seasoned and half sweet chili. Both flavors had a slight kick to it. The wings came with a side of pickled radish--their radish is on the sweeter side.

I've had their chicken quite a few times and it is always good. I decided to try something else on their menu, I picked the shrimp fried rice. Now theirs were a little different from the regular Chinese shrimp fried. They put cheese in it! Yes you saw it Cheese, I'm not sure if this was a Korean cheese or something else. The was like a Mozzarella cheese and it had A very good cheese pull they all put egg in it. Not chopped up but a whole cooked in the middle of the rice. Picture a layer of rice then a layer of egg and cheese and another layer of rice. What I like is that they used a Styrofoam carryout container but they used aluminum foil in the container That's a plus for me.

Best wings! I was recommended to come here for the wings and was not disappointed. They had quick service and a decent selection of options. We were able to get some flavors/foods we never had before. The portion sizes are quite nice as well - nice for sharing. There were tv's on in the background with some k-pop and a sports game which was fun as well.

Im a huge fan of Korean bbq and Korean fried chicken so had to try this place as many friends recommended it. When entering, the place is really neat and I also noticed many carry out orders going out consistently. I have to say the menu was pretty vast and they had a lot of unique items That sounded really good. This time we opted for some wings with soy garlic, fries, and the bulgogi dupbop. I have to say, the wings were big, very very crispy and juicy on the inside. The sauce was good, but I do prefer more sauce as it was just brushed on I guess. Definitely a pretty penny too as 10 wings are $20. The size does kind of make up for it though. The bulgogi dupbop was alright. For $18 I would've liked more beef. The bowl was big and there were a lot of veggies and a ton of rice. Flavor was ok, but I swear it was missing something. Definitely tasted fresweet and fresh. Side of fries was big and were cooked well. Its those thick cut fries that are tough to get right, but they came out crispy(as crispy as those kind of fries get) and with a big cup of ketchup. Service was pretty standard. Did notice a kid taking a pee right outside the window... was facing a car, stepped in it, then got in the car after(he was wearing flip flops). This did not add to the aesthetic. Overall, Id say this is a solid place to get Korean fried wings. There is a boneless option, but the menu says it was $30. The price point was really missing for me. Ive been to a ton of Korean places, but this just didn't hit and for the cost would've expected more.

A cleaned up plate of chicken wings... ate too fast

Apologies, I will have to visit this establishment again and get pictures. I was so hungry I ate all the wings way too fast and forgot to take a photo of them. Parking in this area is not that tough. There's a parking lot around the corner on the same block! Lots of light as well so easy to see so you don't trip and fall while walking to the restaurant. I was the first to arrive in my group and I was met with a very kind front of house staff. Their shirts are cool! It's the demon slayer anime logo but it says wing slayer. The restaurant is in an older diner style with red upholstered booths everywhere, they do have regular tables and chairs too, and a ton of rooster statues. The bathroom is very clean. The staff is very busy but if you press the button at the end of the table someone will be there shortly to help you! My table ordered a large bone in chicken win plate that was half spicy, half soy garlic. The chicken wings looked oddly puffy (at first glance they look like the unseasoned chicken used in orange chicken at Chinese take out places) but after taking one bite I understood why. They were so crispy, the double fry method is king. The meat was super juicy too. I inhaled the wings. I would personally give these wings an 8.5/10 to 9/10. I drove across the mainline for 1.5 hours (202 to 309) during prime rush hour traffic to get here and I would do it again. They do have daikon radish on the side as well to help cleanse your palate if you need it. Very thoughtful. The watermelon soju cocktail arrived in a 1L pitcher and they provided shot glasses instead of cups. It's so delicious. It is like an Aqua Fresca but closer to a slushy smoothie. Very refreshing to contrast the savory and sweet fried chicken. I have to go again and get pictures of the chicken.

Don't eat chicken wings too often but heard this place is top tier, and it lives up to that. Probably some of the best made wings I've had, plus the sauces are amazing as well. Perfectly fried. They have boba slushees which are also great. Definitely go out of your way to come up to try their food. Lots of seating with good atmosphere inside, staff nice. It's a bit on the pricier side for a few things but we'll worth it. Overall great experience.

Couldn't figure out the parking in the rear. The food was okay. Was there when there were no other customers and the service was okay. Payment by touchscreen. Although I don't t know why I was asked to tip on a pick up order

I definitely put this spot in the upper tier for Korean Fried chicken wings. The carry out orders were non stop which is a great indication of how good the wings are. The Kimchi fried rice was pretty darn good too. Pretty spicy, If your familiar with Jollof rice It has that level of kick to It. The bang bang shrimp was alright, not quite what I envisioned for bang bang. I'm just not use to seeing long shrimp like that lol. Nonetheless they were ok. I also got the chance to try Soju for the first time. Soju DEFINITELY packs a punch so make sure you got a plan to get home safely after. It does creep up on you. I sat down to eat and there were some gnats that were driving me crazy. Other than that my fiancé found a hair in her kimbap. That's no good either. Ultimately we had an ok experience, we will probably carry out next time though.

Wings always on point. Soy garlic my fave. Place always clean. They could add the rice for free tho since they're charging 22$ for 10 wings.

Does this establishment accept apple pay?

i believe they do! mastercard or visa only.

Any ideas if they take reservations?

I don't think so, but you can try calling ahead the night of to get a table or place an order.

Is there alot of parking spaces around here?

There is metered street parking, free after 6pm. I also saw a sign that there was a lot behind the restaurant.

The foodie in me couldn't say no. So I went. The ambiance is very casual, with indoor seating. But I took it to go. The service was pretty good. The cheesesteak was DIVINE! The portion was filling. I couldn't eat all in one sitting as I had already eaten half of a cheesesteak elsewhere. But it was absolutely worth the trip. If I remember correctly, it was cash only. I definitely want to go back and have another cheesesteak from Max's.

I BELIEVE the bar person at that time name was KeKe not certain but she was rude and because one of our family members was sitting at the end of the bar she asked why as if it was an inconvenience for her to walk that far to set e him he said he waited approximately 10-15 minutes before she even reconized him or asked him want he wanted to drink as if it was a issue that she had to walk so far from the rest of the bar area where she seemed to have her particular people sitting and gave them more attention. Once 2 more of us arrived to the same end of the bar it was still a mess the service was not what we where used too especially at Max's even though it was only our 2nd time being there on a Saturday which we were informed was her usual day. Needless to say the rudeness and irritation by her continued she argued with another patron about his drink order, cursed that she did not have to F.....deal with another paying customer who was as also in the same area, and took order from 2 person shot was with his wife and took even longer after they paid for their drink to bring the change back uni she again attended to her patrons at the other end of the bar.
