This is one the PRETTIEST afternoon tea / coffee spots I've ever been too. The design reminds me a little bit of Russian tea rooms with a French twist. I came here before a meeting while I was travelling and decided to visit because it was recommended by the hotel staff. The place did not disappoint. The decor walking in, I felt like I was in a fairytale or a castle. I ordered a coffee, which came in a very pretty coffee cut. I'm a big visual eater so I love fancy glassware. The food, I ordered a croque monsieur. The dish was SO BEAUTIFUL. The ham and cheese were rolled up in a bread and it was twisted together like a roll. Then, the egg was light and fluffy, cooked in the shape of a dome. The dish looked like a piece of art. It reminded me of Moscow cathedrals, with the eggs acting as domes and the main tower body made up of the croque monsieur. There was also a a side salad, which was served in a very pretty Russian dish. I loved the decor and the creativity of the food-it's the perfect fusion of French food with a Russian twist. I was so thrilled to get an opportunity to have 'high tea' at this place. Any of these locations would have done so think the worst part was the strange smell of either food gone bad or the sewage. Otherwise this place was quite nice. It's rather small and the service could have been better. We did however enjoy our lovely pastries and tea and make a move for the shops! read more

Beautiful interior and amazing selection of pastries, confectionary and edible gifts! I had an almond pastry, not sure what it was called and the macrons. There is a very long queue to sit down in the dining area for tea time but nonetheless, it's gorgeous and worth the wait. read more

Amazingly tasty but pricey pastries. Bypass the macarons and get the Napoleon, which consists of a crisp pastry shell filled with sublimely delicious Bourbon vanilla scented cream. It doesn't sound or even look like much next to the other more delicate or prettily decorated offerings, but it was one of the best desserts I've had in recent memory, and well worth the hefty price. I only wish I'd gotten the chance to return during our trip to devour another Napoleon as well as sample other pastries. There is some seating inside on barstools as well as several cafe tables outside, and you can order tea or coffee to enjoy with the pastries. read more

Walking by Café Pouchkine and seeing how beautiful the inside looked, we decided to go in and have lunch with drinks. The café is absolutely stunning. The front of the place is the bakery where you can take gorgeous treats to go. The restaurant itself is two stories. We never made it upstairs, but from the looks of how majestic the first floor was, I can only imagine how nice the upstairs was. Even the restrooms were a sight for sore eyes. The service was not great. The hostess wasn't welcoming and neither was our waitress. But, you can't expect the best of service in Paris, so we started to get accustomed to the slow, inattentive service. I ordered a Cappuccino and it was not good at all. I'm not sure how the Cappuccino was made, but it was unlike all of the others I had while in Paris. I guess we didn't realize that the café is Russian inspired and not French, so that may have had something to do with the different tastes in the drink that I didn't like. I gave my Capp to my husband and ordered a glass of Rose' instead, which I adored. For lunch, I ordered the Olivier Club. The sandwich was so delicious that I couldn't help myself from devouring the entire thing, along with the potato wedges that came with it. The sandwich had so many flavors from the meat, spreads, and veggies that I only wished I could have taken one with us to go. Overall, our experience here was nice and enjoyable. 5 for presentation, 4 for pastries, 3 for macarons. The pastries are stunning in an Ivanka Trump sort of way (liberal use of gold powder, for example). They put their own Russian spin on it (such as the Religieuse Russe, which has gianduja chocolate/ hazelnut with pear compote, vanilla, and something bordering on fondant on top.) so the flavors are surprising compared to the typical pastry shop. I would rather eat Marletti or Hermé pastries, but these are still worth a try (or at least a look). The macarons are so-so and cloyingly sweet with the exception of the citron (lemon), which tastes like an amazing lemon meringue pie in macaron form. Otherwise, get your macaron at Hermé, Ladurée or Hévin (in that order). read more

And they're fine, but the best I've had are those from Cafe Pouchkine located in the Printemps department store. Stumbled upon this by accident, was mesmerized by the multiple flavor combinations. The texture was perfect. Perfect. PERFECT. The flavors sang, the raspberry, the almond, the espresso...splendid. They were expensive but delightful beyond imagination. I've had Laduree before and since and they've never come close to what I experienced with these. The mere thought of them is desert ecstasy. This cafe is dreamy! The place is so chic and sophisticated and all of the pastries looked so good! I wish I had all the money in the world so that I could try ALL of them! I decided to go with the Napoleon. It had a delightfully thin and crunchy shell with very rich but not too sweet filling. Yes, the place is super expensive but I would go again. I seem to have established quite a reputation among my friends as a patisserie connoisseur, I can hold an in-depth conversation for hours about these delightful treats and have pretty much sampled work form every patisserie in Paris. Cafe Pouchkine is my favourite. All of the creations shimmer like diamonds in the display cabinet; resembling crown jewels more than anything edible. I have yet to sample one which hasn't been heavenly. Personal favourites of mine are the Napoleon and the lemon meringue tart but as I say you will be hard-pushed to find one which you won't love. I must also say that the service here is very good, I am always greeted with a smile even if it comes across as slightly fake sometimes I would rather that than the contrary. If you're planning on sitting in, there can often be a queue so be prepared to wait especially on the weekends. For a quintessential French patisserie experience this is the most perfect place to come followed by a spot of shopping in the department stores afterwards. I always return time and time again if I never need cheering up, it is my go-to patisserie in the whole of Paris. read more

Super cute and fancy spot to enjoy a glass of champagne and macaroons. It's pricy, but worth the money if you appreciate a glamorous ambience and want to feel extra fancy and fun in Paris. These are not my favorite macaroons in Paris, they are way too sweet for my liking... But I'm not sure if that's how the Parisians prefer them? All the pastries and sweets are displayed OH so beautifully, like jewelry store of goodies! Some of the chocolates even glitter in the case with gold! Club sandwich was weird, bland, and the dry bread made it difficult to swallow. The coffee was really good. The chocolate that came with the coffee was extremely good. The pastries were better than the chocolate. The service, on the other hand, slow and off putting. Almost felt as if we weren't wanted as guests. The macaroons are to die for! I got the pistache cœur fraise, sgouchonka cœur medovick, and pouchkine. All are so good!! The pistache tasted like a candy on the inside, the medovick tasted very Carmel like, and the pouchkine is amazing with the mix of Carmel and chocolate filling in the middle. I also got a chocolate mousse with orange peel on top (forgot the name)... The mousse is to die for and there's a surprise in the middle. Je ne connais aucune autre pâtisserie russe à Paris donc pour moi café Pouchkine est la seule et meilleure que je connais. J'ai la chance d'avoir une amie russe donc je n'hésite pas à prendre les pâtisseries et boissons typiquement russes après les conseils de mon amie. Je n'ai jamais été déçu par ce que j'ai commandé. Tout est à gouter spécialement le Medovick, gateau traditionnel russe (un conseil ne manger pas pendant 5 heures avant de le prendre) et le Napolélon. Si vous êtes fan d'éclair au chocolat en or ou macarons bicolores, c'est aussi l'endroit! Une étoile en moins parce que c'est petit mais vraiment petit. Oui je sais le café est aux Printemps mais il y a tellement de monde que deguster des patisseries sur place devient un peu stressant et les employées veulent bien que l'ont mange vite pour accueillir d'autres clients. Biensûr il y a la terrasse mais quand il fait froid personne ne va s'y installer. Best macroons in all of Paris. I'm not kidding, come here to eat macroons and get some of their little meat pastries (foie gras was my favorite one) and some tea. They have a lot of preset small lunch options to choose from. So come hungry or not so hungry, they really have something for any appetite. It's a little pricey here but it's worth it. The food is fantastic, their desserts will make your eyeballs pop out of their socket they're so gorgeous your eyes will want to hug them in person before you eat them. This cafe is located inside of a large mall near the Chanel store. It's quite tiny but they do have outside seating. Ok, so what makes their macroons the best? They have THE perfect "brownie" texture. Not too crunch, and not to airy. All the macroons are sprinkled with some gold dust which you can't not help but feel excited when you eat them. the WORST pastry shop on the face of the earth. I was SO excited to come here based on reviews and pictures. do NOT be fooled. The place itself is the prettiest little shop, very picture worthy. I got the famous Medovick cake that seriously looks like the most delicious cake. EW. worst cake ever. The cream in it is so nasty and the cake part itself was not even moist, seemed a bit stale even. I didn't even finish it and threw it out, which NEVER happens ok. I wouldn't be so outraged if they didn't charge like over 7 euros for that thing. I wouldn't even eat it if someone paid me to. I thought they were selling faberge eggs at first. I had never purchased macarons from a fully suited gentleman. It is definitely the most upmarket patisserie/coffeeshop I've been to. I wish their macarons matched all the pomp. Tried the strawberry and their signature Pouchkine macaron. Latter was better. read more
