cute local coffee shop with GREAT tasting coffee! went in the morning so it was not that packed, staff workers were super sweet! (:

Latte

Stopped by to get some work done, found out they are dog friendly, so next time I will bring my pups. I had the salad, chocolate mint cake and mango iced tea, all very good. 4 stars only because I was served the salad without dressing and had to go in search of it. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. They also had stickers for sale to support a local dog rescue. Came back today with the pups and enjoying the lovely weather from the roof.

Very cute and cozy coffee shop! Sat outside upstairs and it was very comfy and pretty! I got the Oreo Frappe which was pretty big and decently priced but it didn't taste as good as it looked.

Yummy red velvet cupcake. Also got matcha green tea latte. Loved it!! Great atmosphere there is an upstairs outside area. They provide blankets.

This is an awesome coffee shop with multiple sitting rooms and a treehouse-like area on the second level. When you walk in, there are even blankets provided to patrons, which is a nice touch. I like their lattes and most recently tried their frap. Recommend!

Fantastic place! Very cozy! It is open till late! You can enjoy beautiful weather outside while having your tea or coffee! Definitely coming back!

Great service, good coffee and delicious treats...a bit expensive, so if you are going to splurge, do it here. Nice ambiance.

First order of business when I got to Ensanada was checking out a local coffee shop and thanks to…read moreYelp, Barra D' Café was destination number 1...and an absolutely stellar way to start our day! This spot is tucked at the very end of one of the major roads in Ensanada and sits in a small plaza alongside a few other local spots such as a sandwich spot and a matcha shop. The space is small, but laid out nicely, featuring a clear pathway from entry to exit, a nice bench in front of the counter and a separate room that has a few tables and more benches if you wanted to enjoy your goods on site, which we did! My original plan was Mexican Chocolate, but it was 100 degrees, so we went with a few iced lattes and a cold brew. They had alternative milks and a few syrups, so we added oat milk and vanilla to one, and oat milk and maple to the other latte. Both were classically prepared and delicious! An absolutely delightful iced latte! I legit liked my latte and the vibes so much I scooped up one of their t-shirts. Was my only piece of mercy I bought while in Ensanada and it's perfect! Service was super friendly and helpful. The space is clean, well kept and a total vibe that gave local, but all are welcome energy. Overall, solid find! When you get to Ensanada, avoid the local chain coffee spot and make your way here!

I hate the cliche term everyone uses now, "hidden gem," but this place is a bit hidden and a pleasant surprise. It's got a nice, rustic, modern feel. It's super busy with a team behind the counter. Both times I ordered the maple and salt latte, with whole milk. The flavor was unique and different. Good stuff. The young lady behind the counter was super pleasant to talk to. I didn't catch her name, but then I never do. She mentioned she has spent time in LA and helped me figure out which whole-bean coffee to buy for espresso. I wish I had let her fine-grind the beans for me. My coffee grinder nearly caught on fire trying to get it fine enough. Anyway, blah blah blah. The place is great. If you're there, get it.

Maybe a tourist trap, but it doesn't matter. A nice and calming place to relax before heading back…read moreto the port. I have been wanting to try this place. Staff were friendly and helpful. I ordered 3 chocolate churros and a chocolate blended drink (no caffeine). I think we waited about 10 minutes or so but the churros came out fresh and hot. I think the chocolate used is Hershey's syrup (I could be wrong), but it tasted very familiar. The drink was not very sweet and creamy. I finished the rest of the churros that night. Their restroom was very clean.

It is conveniently located up the street from the Cruise ports to the left side. The only draw back was I wanted my drink cold, they made it hot, and it came out to $13 (for two churros and two small coffees). I gave a $20 and they said they didn't have dollars for change. I even tried to ask if they can throw in another filled churro and they said they can't do it. They do accept Apple Pay and credit cards but it's been a year since I came here, not sure if I did that last time. I already was holding up the line so I just said I would take pesos for change. Next time I am here, I will bring smaller bills as they don't have change. Otherwise, the Chocolate Mexican coffee was delicious and the churro was also, lots of seating, and one of the spots to visit!

Google informed us there was a nearby ice cream shop but when we went at the time (not sure if it is changed) the location moved. We decided to go to a different ice cream shop since we couldn't find this one and we randomly stumbled upon it . It is down the street from Papa and Beer. It feels like it is off the tourist area so be careful . We were very vigilant as there was A LOT of police activity going on . We have been walking for A LONG time trying to find a cool treat for a hot day and this place hit the spot. The young man who served us used to be in Texas but family moved back to Ensenada for better opportunities. The ice cream shop looks new inside. As they moved locations. It was cool inside and we were so grateful for him as we were burnt. Remember to bring small bills. All we had was a $20 bill which we only ordered two items and didn't mind this family owned business to keep the change. He was very surprised and very appreciative and asking us if we were sure as the ice cream came to $8. Seriously a steal. We were more than sure. We felt safe inside. But dreading the walk back to our cruise boat. Overall, definitely hit this place up if you are wanting authentic delicious Mexican ice cream. The dude and I loved this place! Can't wait to come back.
