The location, staff, actors, music, sets, production and performances are always enjoyable and keep us coming back every year. The 2024 performance of The Bear & The Proposal is one of the very best we have seen. It is truly remarkable! The production, acting, singing and story were all exceptional. The show kept everyone engaged, laughing and singing along through the performance. Definitely a must see!

I've been twice in the summer and just went a few nights ago for the winter show. Wow! I was so impressed and had such a great time again. The folks at the farm are so nice and kind and welcoming. The talent of the actors and actresses is fantastic! The set design, costumes, sleighs, script... everything was rustically perfect and well done. We were so lucky, it snowed as if on cue as soon as we started walking towards our sleighs.... I will not soon forget that magic. My theatre partner is a horse expert of sorts and we both detest the abuse of animals so we were nervous about that aspect. We both agreed the horses appeared very healthy and well cared for and talking with our sleigh driver it was clear they love their animals. They have a tiny gift shop, small concession and clean and well kept washrooms. Do try to arrive early so you can relax and settle in to the farm. If you do go in winter try the hot apple cider with pear brandy, hello! My new favourite winter drink! And they have a toasty bonfire with marshmallows and roasting sticks for the littles! Thank you Caravan Farm theatre for the wonderful experience and memories!

It seems like it should be far away from a city, but it is an interesting juxtaposition. There are a couple entrances and it's easy to spot from the street if you look closely. There is a traditional Japanese gate that opens up into a beautiful area of trees, flowers and water features. On the right side of the entrance is a rock garden in which the gravel is swept in a specific pattern. I liked walking around and looking at all the interesting trees and shrubs. There is a small waterfall in the corner and a large koi pond in the middle. There is a cute bridge that crosses the pond and it's a nice place to take pictures. In the spring/summer the flowers are blooming. There were a couple of beautiful pink peonies and a few water lilies in bloom. There was also a small tree that backdropped a bench with flowers that were very fragrant. A bunch of rowdy kids were jumping along the rocks and throwing leaves in the pond as their mother watched. I guess they didn't read the sign outside about etiquette. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would recommend it to others.

My kids had an absolutely fabulous time here climbing in and out of the huge trains cars and Engine (both inside and outside weather depending) and exploring all aspects of train life. They had a dining cart and living quarters open to walk through and get an idea of how things were run and just how small it was! There's a section aimed at younger kids with a train table and dress up play that also was a winner for our family. At only a couple dollars, the admission price is amongst the lowest of any museum I've ever been to in Canada. Just an FYI - There are no elevators here and stairs required to access different areas like the model trains. We will definitely be back!
