Most of this senior portrait business has been pretty unpleasant. First, it was very confusing set up the appointment via their website without very obvious and overbearing attempts to upcharge you at every single step of the process. Good luck figuring it out without ending up with a very expensive sitting fee. Are you sure? Last chance to save! Look at this other higher priced package that you've already said no to twice! Are you really really sure? I will say that the appointment went smoothly. Everyone was kind, on time, and the facility was nice but that's the only positive commentary I can come up with. Luckily I had been pre warned by others who had negative experiences to opt out of having the portfolio sent to us - but because of this (?) we were never even notified that our proofs were ready. I just happened to log in to my account to find them, and was beyond shocked at the prices for print packages or digitals. I love my senior and I like his photos, but $179 for one pose or $399 + for anything more than one pose is extremely unreasonable. So unreasonable in fact that I can't wrap my mind around why public schools contract with them. I don't know of very many families that would find this affordable and what Cady charges is at least double what we pay for great quality family portraits from a trusted and experienced private photographer. Needless to say, we will be enjoying my sons photo in the yearbook but will not be ordering from this company. The whole thing feels slimy. read more

Senior photos themselves were fine but when I got home and posted a photo that I had taken in front of the senior wall it was brought to my attention by another parent that they had put my daughter in the wrong cap and gown. I called Cady and requested retakes and they gave me the run around and finally said that Matanzas had changed the protocol this year and they assured me that the cap and gown was correct. I select the photo for the yearbook as instructed by Cady and just days ago go onto the site to finally download the cap and gown photos that I thought were part of the package I had already paid for to be told I have to buy them. So I do, but something is off about these photos and today I realized that they edited the shit out of the photos trying to make the blue cap and gown white and its silver. SO now she will stand out in the yearbook photos for the silver cap and gown and when I called to complain and book retakes today they told me they have nothing until JUNE! Unacceptable! What a rip off! Do yourself a favor and hire a local photographer! read more

For a forced photo session where you either pay before seeing the photos or photographers or pay much more after, it went well. I am usually not a shy person, but being in a room with at least 7 other people also getting photographed in the same room made me a little hesitant. The photographers were professional; especially Kameelah and Maria who were very patient and made sure the photos looked good. Terrible, terrible, terrible. These packages are way overprices. $38.00 for 10 small pictures. The package was also supposed to include 2 5x7's, but it included two "retro" photos. These were black-and-white photos, not the color photos the package description indicated (since who actually orders black-and-white school photos). Very misleading. Customer service was no help at all. This is the first time this school used CADY. If I have my way, it'll be the last. read more

Seniors are rushed from station to station throughout their photo session. The music is loud and unnerving for a photo session. There are multiple students having their picture taken at the same time so there is very little attention given to each picture. The entire process takes about 15 minutes. The pictures are sub par. I paid for the downloads of all pictures taken. I was sent a total of 8 pictures (including the classic yearbook shot and additional pose). The additional pose was shot on a plain white background that shows all hair, etc. imperfections. Don't even think about contacting customer service for an edit to a picture (even if you paid for the touch up feature) as you will be shot down and told you have to buy something else. Just get your basic yearbook picture and pay someone else to take other senior photos (or even take other senior photos on your phone as they will be better quality). read more

What a scam! My high school must have a contract with Cady Studios because they only take photos from here if you want to be in the yearbook. This place was $150 just to get a session, the photographers were rude and unprofessional. We were there for 4 hours trying to finish my photos then they made us sit in an office because our package requires a sit down to see sample photos on a later date. They want over $500 just for a few of the pictures. I cannot believe what a scam this is. Take my advice and hire a private photographer if your school allows you to do so. read more

I went there today with my son to have his senior pictures done! My sons appointment was at two, no one was at the front desk to greet us when we first came in and it took Fifteen minutes for someone to finally come out! When the photographer came out he didn't even speak to me he just asked if I had any relation to my son who went out to the car for something! Once my son came in from the car that he started talking to him and gave him the acknowledgment that he should have given me! In addition to that incident I asked how may poses I would get with the $200 I initially paid for the session, the photographer told me I wouldn't have to pay anything extra unless I wanted to do hair and makeup which of course I didn't have to do because I have a boy! Once the session was over I found out that none of the two hundred dollars I paid initially would go towards the picture and they want to charge me $499 for one pose! The bottom line is the photographer flat out lied to me about what he told me, and in addition to that, I found out by looking on their website that I was supposed to receive a $200 off black card to go towards his session upon leaving the studio, which I did not! I feel like I was really misled! It is bad enough that when you don't ask certain questions many people won't volun any information, but when you take the time to ask the questions you as a consumer deserve an honest answer! I also feel like I'm in a catch 22 situation because the $200 I paid initially doesn't count towards anything so if I don't pay for any pictures I just basically gave $200 away and wasted three hours of our time!!! I am extremely unhappy with how I was treated and the information that was withheld from me!!!! The cheapest I could pay to get a decent amount of poses and pictures is $899 and the highest is $2000, which is Highway robbery!!!!! I wouldn't recommend this studio to anybody!!! read more

Son had to drive an hour into Orlando and pay $30 to get his senior photos because he was sick/absent from school on the appointment day. Then, turns out there WAS one final day of photos on campus, which was never communicated directly or via the school. Worse than this, they sent us a $200 dollar portfolio UNASKED for and required that it be sent back to them within 60 days or they would charge my card. Extortion--I am very busy (a teacher) and could have told them from the start that I would NEVER buy this portfolio but now I am forced to take time to print a label and drive to the post office to send back an item. Hopefully it is still possible to buy a small, reasonably priced package of only his one best shot (the portfolio had all their shots, most of which were not impressive or didn't reflect my son's usual "look.") I actually tried to go on their site and do this already, and it does not seem like an option-they force you to make a decision about cap/gown photos they took, but WON'T let you see them yet. I can't express my disappointment as a senior that my high school chose to work with Cady, and so are my friends. We should have hired a private photographer, this has been a total ripoff. Had to pay to get my pictures taken, just to get billed ridiculous prices for individual pictures, and finally get billed for shipping and handling of sending the portfolio back- The final cost was over $100 FOR A SINGLE 5x8 PORTRAIT. Awful and I hope others don't have to go through this same process. Will be sure to hire someone to remove the watermarks from the digital proofs we were sent, these people don't deserve your money or time. read more

We went to the studio today for my sons senior pictures. When we arrived the first representative came quickly at me with a thermometer. She probably should explain what she is doing prior to coming at you. Then we stood there. Then they realized we needed to be checked in. I was not impressed with the front staff. When we got into the back I was impressed. All the stations in which my son could his photos was a bit overwhelming. All the photographers we dealt with were nice. However Joe, was our favorite. He got to know my son in a short period and pulled out his character during his cap and gown shoot. Find or ask for Joe, you will not be disappointed. read more

The 3 stars are for the photographers, cleanliness of the place,, and front staff. I took my daughter to the Cady Studios in Orlando. My daughter's school Lake Minneola High School is in contract w/Cady to do senior pictures. We were greeted by three employees at the front desk, all were very friendly. They confirmed our contact info, then we were given a quick tour of the place: changing rooms, restrooms, clothing rack/mirrors, where we could take pictures ourselves and where we couldn't. Each area with a different back drop was labeled so it was easy to find, all backdrops were in one big room and several parents and their kids were going from one back drop to the next having their photos taken.. We had brought extra makeup, styling tools and light up mirror just incase but there wasn't any place to put anything or plug in anything so that was kind of a waste to bring. Parents wore masks, for obvious reasons the kids didn't. Everyone was in and out of the same dressing rooms and bathrooms, they didn't wipe down anything between people.. Once you were done with one backdrop the photographer told you where you would be heading next. Me and my daughter had planned out her outfits for each backdrop so that made it easy to quickly change for each photo. We want to give KUDOS to David (blue long braids) who took the Vogue and Runway photos, he had some really cool and creative poses to try out and the pictures came out really good. Also KUDOS to Carlin for taking the Rustic photos, he also had some really great pose ideas, these 2 photographers exceeded our expectations and were my daughter's favorites. Overall tho all the photographers were really nice and helpful. After we were done we were led into an office where a woman, sorry don't remember her name set up an appt to come back to look at our photos & make a purchase. Since everything was digital not sure why we just couldn't see them right then because as each photographer got done they had my daughter look over the photos they took to make sure she was happy w/what they did, the photos were on a laptop. Also I found it strange, a little pushy to the point of being uncomfortable when she had me and my daughter scan a QR code that was on a business card so that we could write up a review right then and there in front of her to give compliments to the photographers. She said they do contests between the photographers and that they are very competitive so compliments for them is important. Luckily, I couldn't access yelp bcuz I had forgotten my password. So told her we wld do it later.. The woman gave me a card that she claimed would give me a $100 off my package I chose as long as I order it the day of the presentation, (On card in small print it says only valid on Most Popular packages that range from $179-$1690) she also quickly showed me the different packages in the booklet she gives out and I just about fell over. I'm not poor, but not rich either, the prices were on the verge of what I would call price gouging. In all the years that I have bought student pictures I have NEVER paid as much as they are advertising. You already pay a sitting fee of $127. Here are some of the packages: package 1: 1 senior image/6 - 5x7, 4 - 4x5= $179, package 2: 1 senior image/ 1-8x10, 6- 5x7, 8 - 4x5, can't see exact # of wallets too small, might be 10+ =$289 / package 3: 3 senior images/4- 8x10, 8- 5x7, 12-4x5, at least 10 wallet=$399. The prices go up from there. If you want all photos digitally it will cost $890. Also cap & gown images are not a part of any package, you will have to buy them separately once it gets closer to graduation time. I saw how they had my daughter posed for those pics, I can re-create those pics myself. Unfortunately none of these packages work for our family, we only have 2 extra family members still living, we don't need all these extra photos. Our presentation preview is in 2 wks, Im hoping we will be able to buy individual photos w/ different backdrops/sizes. I will update this review once we know more after the presentation. read more

As with the other reviewers, there should be the option for NO STARS or -stars! Our daughters high school would only accept senior photos from this company. The studio experience took 2 hours longer than we had scheduled for because the photographers were so unorganized. When we got our proofs we were very disappointed at how mediocre they were, but since they were senior photos we shelled out over $400 for photos. Upon receiving the photos, all of the formal pose (the only decent shot) had the TOP OF MY DAUGHTERS HEAD CUT OFF!!!! Every single photo! I have emailed and called this company. 2 times they have sent the "corrected photos" - still with the top of my daughters head cut off. 1 time they got the photos correct, but they didn't send the correct number of photos that I ordered. 3 TIMES that the photos were not correct. I just AGAIN emailed them to send their FOURTH attempt at the correct printing of my photos. Take my advice, if your school demands that you use this company for your senior photos in order for your child to be in the yearbook... DON'T purchase the photos from Cady Studios! Hire a real photographer for photos to have and share with your friends and family. read more

there needs to be a ZERO STARS rating for this crappy company. Our HS has hijacked us into using Cady Studios EXCLUSIVELY for the portrait that goes in the yearbook, so I'm stuck. Had to schedule a session 1 hr away in Orlando, only to receive an e mail the same day as the session saying they were going to be at our school later that week! So I'm trying to use LIVE CHAT or one of 3 telephone numbers to reach the studio - there's not even an option for the Orlando studio and no one will answer the live chat or answer the phone in any of the other studio locations. Outrageous awful horrible customer service I'm going to call our school and tell them about our experience and hopefully no future Viera senior will have their senior memories ruined by this awful company. Came to Cady Studios today with my brother as he came to take his Senior Pictures. We were scheduled for Yearbook, Cap & Gown and Athlete. Last minute we decided to add another scene and we were able to do so at the Studio for an additional $20 sitting fee. We walked in 15 minutes to our scheduled 11:00 am appointment. The moment we walked into the studio we were greeted with smiles and walked towards the back where we would have our session begin. Courtney E was our photographer for Athlete and Runway and when I tell you that his proofs were impeccable they were impeccable. Courtney was very detailed and had a vision for how the images should look. She was very friendly and i enjoyed watching how she had him posing. I asked Courtney "How long have you been working here?" Her reply to me was: "THREE DAYS" wow!! THREE DAYS and she hit the camera straight on. My sister visited the studio last year when she went to take her Senior pictures and the service then til now is Night and Day. I appreciated the service which we received today and I look forward to seeing the original pictures once the proofs are back with the touches. If you visit the studio be sure to ask for Courtney E as you will not be disappointed as for the other photographers who took his cap and gown photo as well as his Yearbook photo they were not as friendly and attentive. They were more concerned about just taking 5 photos which is the max shots they can take. Than ensuring that the 5 photos would be worth it! I mean these are people taking photos which they have to look back at from years to come atleast make sure the photos are coming out correct. read more

My experience started when I was trying to pick my sons senior picture for the yearbook. He told me he had gotten pictures taken at his school. Of course Cady had no record of this, fast forward to year book deadlines we drove 1 1/2 to get pictures taken just so his picture would be in year book. I had purchased the elite session however did not have time to do a whole shoot and after a lengthy conversation they said I could do walk in only at this time. GREAT! Got picture, picked picture for year book, done. I never used the Elite session and knew and understood money lost. However what I didn't know is that it would take an act from congress just to order the Senior pictures we did take. When I called to find out why they were not showing in profile I was told I needed to go to studios for a reveal because of my package. I don't want a reveal we literally took 5 pictures. No luck I would get a call back. BTW did I mention that the also had the original pictures he took at the school that no one could fine earlier... hmmmmmm. Now I am on my 3rd call waiting to speak with someone in hope that I can finally order some senior pics. I keep getting told that I have to speak to someone from the Orlando studio. WHY????? Why cant the pictures be placed on my profile so I can order and move on from this ridiculous situation. WORST EXPIERENCE EVER!!!!! I'm a senior who just wanted to take his pictures and I did the pics the cost was high. I got a portfolio that they never told me I'd receive and then, I find out they charged me $212 for that crappy portfolio it ain't worth that much it's a big rip off. I tried to return it and the rep on the phone said all he could do is give me store credit. I don't want store credit I want my damn money back. I would've preferred to use the local photographer in my town who's btw has much better quality and not bullshit prices. But this place is just utter bullshit the photographer guy was alright but the company is shit. read more

These people are SCAMMERS!!! BIGGEST RIP OFF!!! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT use this company. They sell packages that will costs you HUNDREDS of dollar. Then tell you the photos are NOT included and that you will have to spend additional several hundred dollars more to buy the photos. Why would anyone schedule a photo session with a photographer if you are not even getting the photos? It doesn't even make sense. There are many professional photographer in the market you can hire who will do a great job and NOT rip you off like these people. I am now short a couple of hundred dollars and NO PHOTOS. They don't even deserve a star! Zero stars! Absolutely the worst senior photo experience ever. Terrible photographers, they had to be told how to pose-literally made no suggestions. Their props, required clothing and back drops were nasty. Pictures came out terrible, they mail you the proofs after retakes, so you are out of luck. The studio requests you show up 15 minutes early but they didn't open until 9 am, so a few of us parents were stuck waiting outside for 15 minutes for them to open. Once inside despite the amount of kids taking photos they were fairly organized and all the photographers and staff were very professional and kind (we especially liked Jaidyn, Sergi and Bernice, all very attentive and patient) as far as pricing I wish prices were shown when setting up the appt to take the photos. At the very least you'd think they'd subtract the 125$ session fee from the price of the package purchased. The packages at its cheapest are 179+ tax and at its highest is 1700 bucks. I've seen wedding photographers that are more affordable. What annoys me the most is they know ppl will purchase because what choice do many of us have! They don't offer a package to purchase the proofs and a USB with all photos is almost 900$ . So while our experience taking the photos was just fine, the costs associated are astronomical and you may be better off choosing another way of getting photos read more

Zero stars if I could. Awful experience!! It started from the session date. Extremely disorganized and run by what it looked to be teenagers. No direction and you were just left to fend for yourself and find where you needed to go. Lines awfully long for required pics but this is just the beginning. Received my proofs and as expected it looks like a teenager had taken them not a photographer. Not interested in any of them. Weekly I continue to receive tons of emails pretty much harassing you to buy from them which I no longer even open. Keep in mind that studio hours are extremely inconvenient to return the proofs neither was I aware of any deadlines. Only open in my area Saturday for a couple of hrs. I then get charged $201 for the proofs!! Immediately called and was told oh no worries just return them and we will credit you back in the card. Get to the studio on an available Saturday 3/23 and dropped them off. Get a receipt as proof all was returned and advised again from the young lady at the reception, just wait a week and you will see a credit on your card. Wait a week and nothing, called today. To find out by an extremely rude representative by the name of Anitra that I was given a credit to my account with them for the purchase of pictures since I was outside of a window no one ever discussed verbally with me. WHAT!!!!I asked to speak to a Supervisor only to be left on hold and then hung up on. Called back, spoke to Johanna who said a supervisor had my info and would call me back. Heard from no one. Called back and they are closed. This company has a monopoly with these pictures that a 10 year could have taken better with a phone. Horrible experience and even worse customer service. Buyer beware for this not to happen to you for Senior pics!! They simply don't care for their customers, just hide under fine prints no one reads. Awful business and business practices!! read more

so horrible!! my school would only accept senior photos from Cady Studios, and as a result I wasted $30 (the least amount possible) on a session just to be in my school's yearbook. photographers were very unorganized. they say you will have the opportunity to choose which picture you want to be in the yearbook, but the process is extremely complicated. Cady Studios failed to email me the link to my senior pictures before my school's yearbook deadline. I had to contact customer support to access mine, and was told I could not choose my picture because it was past my school's deadline. however, I waited weeks for that email link containing my senior pictures, but they never sent it! photographers on the scene were also telling students that the deadline would be a month later. now I have to settle for a terrible photo that will be in my school's yearbook because I couldn't choose the one I wanted. I would have been better off not being in the yearbook at all. some of my friends had similar problems where they had to call and wait for a link to be found for them due to cady studio's lack of organization or any sort of functional system, especially for senior pictures. do not waste your money!! read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I had just moved to Florida and the school my son was enrolled in had us go to Cady Studios to take his Senior Pictures. Our appointment was scheduled for 1 pm and so we arrived at the studio at 12: 45pm. We had to wait a whole hour until he got his first picture taken. It took another hour to get to the next station to take the next picture. We did not get out of there until 4 pm. When we got the pictures half of them were blurry and they all made my son look bad. The workers at the studio were blatantly rude and would talk about how my son posed. They made fun of how he posed but little did they know he has ADHD and cannot focus very well which showed through his pictures. The studio picked the worst picture of him and most of them were the ones where he wasn't facing the camera. My son is also very disappointed in his pictures and it makes me as a mother extremely sad. I would not recommend this studio and if I could I would get a refund but they would not give me one. read more
