While it is small, it's a great place for a relaxing picnic, throwing the frisbee or football…read morearound or even doing a little people watching. Little kids love feeding the ducks and geese or wading in the shallows, while older kids often cliff jump on the south side or off the bridge. Some even canoe and kayak here. It used to get fished a lot, but I don't see that as much these days. Fisherman do come more in the mornings. They took out many of the shade trees which was a mistake. They really should have rerouted the roads and expanded this park long ago..bring back the volleyball, add a nice pavilion, bring in loads of sand and expand it to a proper beach. Oh well, I'll enjoy it as is.

Beautiful 9 hole golf course tucked right up into the foothills. It has large greens, but some…read morenarrow fairways and thick forest lining most of the holes make for some challenging play. Maintenance had been lacking the past few years, but the 2015 season was much better. Even the practice green by the clubhouse is in great shape, where it used to be a mess. The clubhouse is retro in the best way, a step right back in time to the 1970s, with great views of the surrounding forest. Too bad the downstairs area is so underutilized, it could be a great cafe/bar area. Green fees and rentals are priced average for the area. But they also have specials throughout the season that makes this one of the better values in the area.

As of Spring 2016, Meadow View contains one of the two splash pads in the Logan area, that I know…read moreof. Surprising I know. I would've guessed there'd be more here. What's even more surprising is how few people even know it even exists. It can get busy at times but never crazy so. Park also has a pavilion, bathrooms, large soccer field, small playground and a large grassy area. Besides the splash pad, the park isn't all that exciting and lacks both amenities and shade. But we still go and splash around here with the kiddies from time to time.

Logan Utah is one of the cleanest, coolest, hippest cities! It's home to Utah State University and…read morehome to 10's of thousands of some of the nicest people in any city I've ever been to! Almost every business, whether it's a local business or chain, wants to have something to do with USU. The restaurants we ate at and many other places rock USU paraphernalia. We've visited Logan a few times now and the friendliness of the city does NOT get old. I would consider living here if there was a coast close by! I can't overstate the service level we get everywhere we go. We can't wait to come back to visit our freshman!

The folks that run Bear River Bottom, Roger & Ron Thompson, (I didn't meet the rest of the Thompson…read morefam) are fantastic. In fact they are incredible. Furthermore, they have incredible rates, better than anywhere else I looked, and no hunting club fees - but that's not only what makes them so great... I came out with my girlfriend in order to try our hands at hunting. We have both shot guns at targets, and trap, and have completed a hunters safety course, but never gone hunting. For being novices, they made us feel comfortable and safe. We learned a ton over the course of the day, which began with trap shooting and then progressed to hunting pheasants. Their pheasants are locally raised, and their hunting grounds have good cover and feel safe (there is a bluff on one side, lake on the other, and row of trees on a third side, with the road behind you - so there is little chance that you would run into a situation where you accidentally come up on another hunter - the perimeter is well circumscribed). For the hunt we opted to use a dog to help flush out the pheasants and retrieve them (which I would highly suggest) and it was an absolute delight to work and hunt with the dog. When we finished they showed us how to feather/skin and clean the pheasant to cook, even gave us some great recipes! It was truly an incredibly positive first experience hunting - didn't hurt that we shot 5 our of 6 pheasants :) All in all, Their individual attention was incredibly appreciated, as well as their experience and knowledge. I would highly recommend them to anyone, novice or experienced!
