The hotel is located on Hawthorne Blvd in Central Torrance. The parking is now a paid lot. The Penthouse event room is very nice and offers a nice view of Torrance. The work event that I attended was grand and with excellent catering. As for the restaurant and the mural experience, those are separate reviews. Have to mention the famous DoubleTree cookies. Those are always a delicious treat! Overall great experiences at this DoubleTree. 4 stars!

I'm tired (awake for 27 hours), so I'll make it quick:…read more - When we got here, no bellman assisted us, despite what looked a few wandering around the lobby - the door is so thin you can hear everything outside in the hallways; people walking and talking, carts rolling by, etc - worst of all (picture related) I found hair (pubes??? Short hair like that seems to be trimmed from somewhere unsightly in my opinion) on the very pillow I was going to lay my head on!!! Genuinely disappointed, mildly disturbed, never again. The 3.7 rating or whatever ratings has by the time you view it are lying to you. You'd be better off staying somewhere else. Normally Hilton has some pretty decent places, but I'm ashamed to say this place generally felt very... meh. I'm not making this one star because the receptionist was nice about my reservation, even after having a bit of a hard time finding our reservation (someone else's reservation showed up for us somehow) and found an accessible room for my family and I (elderly individuals in my family). Very old and outdated, no valet or bellman as mentioned above. Very deceiving looks. I would say goodnight (as of the time of writing this), but I doubt I'll be getting any sleep after the "pillow hair incident" of haunting my dreams.

I have been going to Torrance Marriott for years for various events. Their ballroom is huge and…read morespacious. From attending different expos to business dinners, the venue is great! From the dinners I have attended here, I have also enjoyed the food. It is not surprising that the food served at the ballroom is good because the restaurant at the Torrance Marriott is also quite a good spot. 21 Square is the main hotel restaurant. I've gone to this restaurant for brunch and dinner (including Thanksgiving!) The service and food has always been on point. Overall, I've always had a positive experience at the Torrance Marriott and think it's a great spot to go to for dinner or events!

Overall the hotel is good. Our ADA room featured a truly superior and intelligent layout that…read moreworked well. The beds were overly soft however and the excessively tall pillows left us all with sore backs. The bed all looks nice but provides poorly. The pricing in general was truly excessive. $40+ per day for parking? $20 breakfast burrito. Maybe it is a sign of the times but ... Speaking of ADA, the bathroom on the first floor which serves the broader public and meeting rooms has the empty screw holes of a missing hand rail in the wheel chair toilet stall making it unusable. The multiple screw holes with differing alignments suggest that this may be a chronic problem that should have been addressed properly long ago. This needs immediate attention.

With that said, this note is specifically for a front desk operative named Enzo Torres. For a variety of reasons I had been a handful for Mr. Torres, and what I got in exchange was a smile, and an extra effort to insure my wife and I were happy. This man is a credit to the Marriott family, and is without a doubt the primary reason why I will always choose this RI location anytime I am in the Torrance area. Matt Rose Las Vegas, NV.

I usually don't complain but I had 3 complaints about this property -…read more 1. When I checked in early (2:40 PM rather than 4 PM) I was informed there would be an additional $25 charge. I have never in my 20+ years being a Marriott Elite been charged to check in early.. My complaint isn't about the charge but I requested early checkin via the Bonvoy App and was told it was by request but was never told of the fee in advance. 2. When we checked in the A/C didn't work -- the maintenance engineer came by and just changed the thermostat from 68 to 64 which did nothing. They did come by the next day and look at it, but never told me until the 3rd engineer came by that it was missing a part and were going to bring a portable but I declined and said we could just open the windows at night. 3. Upon using the windows, none of the windows would stay open and most of them violated safety codes, because the unit is on the second floor and you can open the entire window and one of my children could possibly fall out! Engineer fixed it, but why wouldn't they inspect this!? 4. I asked for a pack n play. The first one wouldn't even lock so the housekeeper got another one and then that one failed in the middle of the night (the lock on the side was broken). My toddler could be crushed. I appreciate staff working the Thanksgiving holiday but the maintenance issues in this location were unreal.

I've stayed at the BW Redondo Beach Inn a few times, and each time my room has been large, clean and good. However, I got home in Nov'25 from one of the longest rainstorms in LA history and the already cramped and not enough parking spaces parking lot was full of construction materials. I can't understand on a weekend why they couldn't be put somewhere else? Also, despite checking in around 4:30pm, they had not held our room on the top floor I had asked for, so there was some noodling around to get it. We got a very large room on the top floor and everything was perfect, except on night 2 the roof starting a slow leak. They offered to move us, but it wasn't a huge deal, but beware, they are working on the rooms now for awhile.

There were bugs flying around in my room, and the toilet was broken (I fixed it myself). There were people in and out all night. Someone was doing donuts in the parking lot, and I could have sworn I heard a catalytic converter get stolen at like 3am. It did the job, but I'll be more meticulous next time.
