I stopped in to try this place. I got 2# off ground Chuck. 2 hours later I cooked hamburgers & the meat stunk up the house with that foul meat smell, I call it a "wang". I called to complain and all I got was "I'm sorry". No offer to resolve the issue. Not ever coming back. They just lost a customer. Don't know how a meat shop can prevail selling hamburger meat that should be in a garbage can, it's where mine ended up. AWESOME, FRIENDLY, TREAT YOU GREAT!! First time I have went to Cabot Meat Market was today, June 11, 2022. I originally went to Hogg's on JFK in North Little Rock and was not treated right so I left and ended up at Cabot Meat Market. Let me tell you... these people are awesome!!!! Very friendly!! Packaged everything as I requested. Very helpful. Smiles on their faces. They treated me like I knew them for years and was part of the family there. I will gladly drive the extra miles to go there. I am writing this as I eat 2 of their specialty pre-made items; the stuffed bell pepper and the twice baked potato. I went in their for the first time today to look around after just moving to Cabot. Lots of choices of meat and pre-made items that I look forward to trying. I left there with a Meat Pack that was around $60 that has ground beef, breakfast sausage, pork chops and a beef roast. Tomorrow morning I will be trying the breakfast sausage. I am rating five stars because of the vast amount of menu items and southern hospitality. I look forward to making this place a monthly stop on my checklist. read more

I lived in Arkansas for the AF (ex husband), and shopped here quite frequently. The owner seemed pretty nice, and their chicken salad is on point! I did buy some bad chicken there a couple times, only to get home and find that out. That was pretty frustrating to say the least. Their beef was always really good. Only time they really made me irritated, is when I bought beef jerky and they had over marinated? It...it was so salty it made your mouth pucker. When I told them about it they were totally aware and didn't offer a refund. They told me it would be good for stew...that isn't what it was bought for. After that I didn't really shop there nearly as often. read more

My parents have used this meat market for over 20 years. They love it, and I love it! The owners are very friendly and offer help whenever it is needed. This husband and wife couple are very outgoing and a pleasure to talk to. My dad has dropped off several deer that he killed to have processed into packages of different meats on multiple occasions. They offer a few different options on butchering and processing that are very reasonably priced. If you walk in to choose some items for a single night you have a large variety to choose from. They have beef, chicken, pork, etc. You name it...they probably have it! They also have a nice variety of sauces, rubs, and condiments. I love their homemade BBQ sauce! read more

As someone who rarely posts complaints or concerns about businesses in our community, it is time to do so. I truly believe that customers can be very rude, demanding, and have outlandish expectations. This is not the case here. We purchased two turkeys from the Cabot Meat Market, for $98, to be served at work for our Thanksgiving feast. Upon placing the order, all that they stated was the turkeys would be smoked and ready to go at 10:00 a.m. It was explained to them when ordering that the turkeys would be served for lunch the same day as pickup. No other response or clarification was made from the lady taking my order. Then, when the turkeys were picked up, they were in the refrigerator/freezer with ice on them in sealed packages. They were rock hard. We left the store not really knowing what to do. A few minutes later we called and talked to the manager. She offered to refund our money IF we brought the turkeys back. Unfortunately, needing to feed a large group of people, it was decided to see how fast we could cook them so that at least a small percentage of employees could eat them. That being said, they were already in a cooker trying to be ready by the third lunch rotation. Obviously, I could not take them back at that point. That was all they offered. The first two lunches were without the only source of meat, these turkeys. (3/4 of the employees) After some thought and frustration, a second phone call was made to see if another resolution could be found for this egregious mistake. The owner began his tirade. He was downright rude and verbally aggressive. He constantly interrupted us as we tried to explain what happened and raised his voice throughout his comebacks. I wasn't sure if it was due to being a woman and he thought he could intimidate me through verbal abuse. He stated, "I don't care about your turkeys", "I sell 50 of them a year so I don't care", and "it's your fault you didn't know they would be cold." Went on to say "you don't even know what goes into smoking a turkey" They hung up on us twice as we continued to pursue a mutual understanding. This is not the type of customer service one would expect from a long standing successful business in Cabot, AR. It is a wonder with that kind of attitude, just how they are able to maintain any kind of customer base to remain open. His demeanor and verbal harassment led to this post. If that is how he treats his customers, then maybe the community of Cabot needs to let him know that is not acceptable. We accept the fact that a new employee may have made a simple mistake with not explaining the process of acquiring cooked turkeys from them. The response that cannot be accepted as the norm is the owner's outright inept ability to handle conflict and a disagreement with a woman/customer, his inability to find solutions to normal business issues that are simple in nature, and his lack of knowing how to maintain a loyal customer base that keeps buying meat from him. He should understand that these types of interactions with customers are not conducive to growing or maintaining his business. This is the worst customer experience we have had in the last 30+ years. Sir, (and your manager), you might want to get a part time job at Chick-fil-A so you can learn appropriate customer service and respect for the people that allow for your livelihood. We cannot be the only people that have encountered this manager & owner and their wrath. We will not be purchasing anything from them again. read more

I shop here several times a year. I would go more often, but it's out of my way. However, when I want the best meat available in Cabot this is where I go. Their selection and variety is very good considering Cabot is a small town. Their prices are reasonable. The store smells and looks clean. They also do deer processing. read more

I was a little worried after reading some reviews but I had just moved to the area and I was looking for a way to support the community better. They offer a $39.99 value pack which is perfect for my family. They let me swap out items for similar items. I haven't had anything go bad or that wasn't fresh. I have had frozen items but it wasn't a big deal; if I didn't want it frozen I just asked for them to get me fresh instead. I have been able to try so many new recipes because I wouldn't have bought some of these meats without doing the value pack. Now I stop by once a week. read more

By far best meat in cabot. Really enjoy their steak, pork, and chicken. Their prices are good and when cooked their meat is much more juicy and tastes great.
