The only reason I can give this company 2 stars is because I have to admit that their customer…read moreservice is responsive. That being said, I will never purchase another furniture item from Kathy Kuo and recommend you don't either. First, I placed the order back in October and didn't receive it for months with delivery dates constantly being pushed back. I understand there are supply chain issues, so I took less issue with the delay. However, the item also arrived completely defective with the wardrobe doors and handles entirely uneven so that one of the doors wouldn't even close. Then, for the first week I had the item I kept hearing loud popping noises coming from it (I thought I was going crazy). Upon further inspection, I saw that the popping noises were actually from the wood splitting and cracking all over. Customer service agreed to ship a new one, but when the delivery company arrived they weren't told it was White Glove (even though that was the original delivery method). I had to send it back with the delivery company and am still waiting for the item. Perhaps most frustrating of all is the fact that they wouldn't arrange to have the defective piece picked up and told me "I could keep it", which meant I had to figure out how to get a massive wooden wardrobe out of my NYC apartment on the second floor by myself. Oh, and they use Metropolitan Warehouse for delivery which is horrible. Seriously, so horrible that it was my first ever Yelp review I've left (this is my second). Anyway, I feel duped and could have had a functioning wardrobe months ago if I had avoided this place.

Edited to add: The items ordered were delivered on…read more3/4/2026. Furniture appeared OK just checking upon delivery but two pieces were missing some washers that are supposed to hold screws inside. Had to bring the pieces to a local hardware store because it was an odd size. I didn't feel like calling the company again because they have been incredibly irritable to work with. They only called me after seeing my reviews on trustpilot asking me to remove my reviews. I will not be removing a thing because everyone should KNOW what's going on. If I could give zero stars I would. This company is a SCAM. They charge a lot of money for products that take weeks to even leave their warehouse. We placed an order almost 3 weeks ago- an IN STOCK ITEM- that I was promised arrival by 2/21. After speaking with a supervisor, Sean, I was told they would ship the item by the EOD on 2/19 or first thing 2.20. The item wasn't "shipped" until 2/20 from Texas to New York. It is 2/24 and the item is still "awaiting pickup" I am now being told it will take another 2-3 weeks to arrive to their warehouse before scheduling a delivery date???? Absolutely f**king ridiculous. You can't get in touch w a single person over there- even with direct phone lines and email addresses. No one answers unless you call the claims department. I'm so over this company already, and as someone in the trade, I expected a much better experience than the one I got. So disappointed. 10/10 would not recommend, would never order from here again.

I reached out to Eric, the owner, and pretty much a half hearted apology but essentially told I was shit out of luck. If they are putting hardware on your PAX system, I would be careful, they might ruin your doors Here is my story IDA Flatpack were super accommodating to send someone on Friday evening to assemble my PAX after Ikea screwed me over by not delivering that Thursday. Unfortunately he forgot his stencil or something to assist him with putting the handles on the door, so requested to come back Sunday to finish the job. Not a problem. On Saturday my husband and I level our closet, and place the PAX exactly where we wish it to go in the room Sunday, Nate comes and puts the handles on. I go to check the handles, and they are obvious to the naked eye they are uneven. I tell Nate and he tried to square up the doors. At the ends, even with his best efforts, something was off, but he told us unless he drilled new holes, that was the best he could do. After Nate left, we discovered that he had moved our PAX a few inches over, I'm not sure why. All the work my husband and I went through to level and ensure the closet was correct was for nothing, it took us another half hour / hour after Nate left to square the closet (now with clothing), it was a total waste of time. I am most displeased with how the handles look, from the outside and inside. I am attaching pictures so you can see what looks to be a mess from both the outside of the closet and the inside. The outside you can the screws, and the inside of the closets looks like the hole was drilled several times because he couldn't get the right placement. I am highly disappointed at this. The doors are ruined. I expected much more professional work from someone who does this all the time. If I had known this would be the result, I would not have let him near the handles of the PAX. Nate was pleasant and great, but his work at the end really did not hold up for what I think you would expect when you send someone out to do a job.

First we met at my apartment so that he could get a sense of my personality, discuss design ideas, and figure out the overall tone of the job. After my initital appointment at my apartment, I went to see how his apartment was designed so I would get a better sense of the finished look. He then pins ideas to a Pinterest board and posts them so you know exactly what to order if you want to go ahead with particular suggestions. I found that extremely helpful. Michael went above and beyond for me, helping pick out the paint colors, assisiting with window treatments, and even finding proper positions/making suggestions for lamps. After the paint job was finished we went over where to hang my prints on my wall and his recommendations were spot on! I'd definitely work with Michael again in the future and hope more people have the opportunity to do so as well.

But after meeting the team at A to Z Renovations, I finally felt confident I was in good hands. They were on point, punctual, and extremely detail-oriented throughout the entire project. But the job they did deserves recognition. Among the many people worth a shout-out: designer Chaya Uzan whose enthusiasm and ideas gave us a sense that our project was quite special; and Robbie Goldberg, our day-to-day contact and project manager, who brought a craftsman's eye to all aspects of the job. When problems were encountered, problems were fixed. An example: once we installed a new oven in the kitchen we realized that we would have to do without a favorite built-in spice cabinet. Robbie came up with ingenious fix requiring some custom carpentry so that the spice rack did not disappear but became an integral of the whole. Anthony, our renovation expert, was our first contact with A to Z. He encouraged us not to give up on what we wanted the project to look like even though other renovators had told us it was impossible to do. He also offered to answer any questions we might have along the way. Then there's Shevy, the permit and insurance coordinator. She dealt with the necessary paperwork and kept the inspectors at bay so we did not have to deal with those headaches. And last but not least, Mario, the site manager, who was there every day, hands-on, always professional and pleasant. On that note, the entire team seemed to like one another and treated us and each other with a refreshing degree of decency and consideration. To summarize: The team at ATOZ was thoroughly professional and kept us informed with clear, consistent communication every step of the way. Importantly, the team worked efficiently to stay on schedule and were fair when an unexpected issues arose, providing clear solutions. The final result is exceptional, and the quality of work exceeded our expectations. We would not hesitate to recommend ATOZ to anyone.
