The deck was not built to was discussed or agreed upon. His hack subcontractors piece together a "fix". Old lumber was used for the fix. Upon completion, we called Mark to fix several issues. Another subcontractor had to come and fix the issues. Within 2 months, I had to build a new gate going to the deck. The one he built warped and broke. Looked like it was made from scraps in his shop. Fast forward to 11/20/2018 the building inspector came for the final inspection in which he informed us the deck failed back in July, however we were never notified of this by Mark. The fix that was needed was higher railing next to the gate. We called Mark in which the next day he came out and took care of. Well, it looks like shit. It was scrap wood added on top to "correct" the problem. We spent over $5k on a deck that looks like a fort a bunch of neighborhood kids made out of scrap wood. I would not recommend Mark or any of his hacks to even my worst enemy.
