The estimate was provided to me on the spot (no waiting a week for a quote). His guys moved my bigger furniture items which was a huge help, and installed the flooring on the first floor of my townhome in about half a day. Everything was put back where it was and clean when all was done. The price was right on the money for the services needed and will definitely use Benson Floor Covering for my next project.

I need more stars; 5 is so not f***ing enough! Josh is an amazing craftsman…read more I recently renovated my home and part of that included gutting my 1940's kitchen. After having IKEA design my kitchen online, I presented the printed plans, showed him to my garage full of my worst IKEA assembly nightmare and he was good to go. Josh has an amazing eye for detail, does excellent work and has people that help him that do the same. His rate is more than reasonable when you factor in prices these days. My home is nearing 100 years old. Perfectly level floors no longer exist. That said, he was able to level each and ever cabinet as it related to where it was on the floor and follow suit with the base molding, often needing to follow the slope of the floor. Also, not all of my cabinets were available from IKEA, so we improvised by ordering extra items from IKEA to which he cut to size and fitted with doors and shelves. I have issues just following the basic instructions. This is why I say he is an amazing craftsman. A basic installer would have given up or not been able finish the project well. There are not many IKEA installers in Charlotte, be sure to come here to Josh!

Peter looked over the furniture and provided us a very reasonable estimate to refinish two chairs and a love seat. He said it would only take a week or so. They look so good that we are planning to take our teak lounge chairs to him after the summer is over and let him work his magic with them as well.

He spent lots of time with us at our home going through samples and combinations of color arrangements for our "new" cabinets. Of course, we were initially hesitant about painting old cabinets to make them look like the highest quality of new and professionally painted cabinets. "My gosh, is this going to appear professional?" Wow! The finished product bowled my wife and me over!! Peter took our 15-year-old and outdated wood cabinets and turned them into meticulously perfect "new" cabinets. When you go through the photos, there will be 5 initial photos of the "old" and following that, there will be 5 or 6 photos of the "new". You can easily spot these as you review the photos. Peter was VERY easy to work with and had tremendous suggestions. He advised us to keep our same hardware since it would look great on the "new" cabinets. We took his advice and you can see that it looks great. My wife and I are so VERY pleased with Peter and his A1 Cabinet Painting firm. Next up for us will be a re-do of our master bath suite that has the same old and outdated wood cabinets. Thank you, Peter. #1 in the greater Charlotte area!!

We've been married 43 years and owned 18 different homes and have dealt with many contractors! With the Flooring Clearance Center in Fort Mill, SC we dealt with some of the most dishonest people I think we have come across .Called Colt ( the owner ) multiple times and have yet to talk with him. In addition to Colt, we dealt with Jason, James and Colin. To much to mention on here but my message is to beware ! Look into more than their solicited reviews. Look over contract and pricing closely. Our opinion is to Find someone else to do your floors. Having said that the guys that actually did the job actually worked hard and did a good job. The only issue with the workmanship that we've noticed is the "transitions" that were put down do not allow doors to shut. Job was completed and paid in full 6/3/25. Rhett

5 stars for the merch: Fantastic selection of fabrics…read more MINUS 4 for the customer experience: Subpar to say the least. The lady at the store was dismissive and treated us like folks who walked in by mistake. From the moment we walked in (no hello, no greeting, just a blank and cold stare) to her assuming right off the bat that we wanted premade drapes ("we don't sell premade drapes"), it was a case study in how to NOT treat customers. It took us having to literally prove to her with pictures of our windows that we were seriously in the market for drapes. She was not willing to share even basic information like the price range for different fabric options nor was she willing to even talk about the types of options available. Her tone, tenor and attitude clearly said "I don't care for you". It was only after we told her the color of our walls by sharing the Sherwin Williams color code / name did she realize we weren't turnips that fell off the back of a truck. Up until that point she was dismissive to say the least. Even assuming we were just browsing, imagine if she had presented the brand, the store and the offerings in a positive and vibrant manner. In today's digital first world, why would you ignore and insult customers who drive across town and walk into your store? It was very clear that we were not welcome and she made no attempt to even mask it. Her loss will be another store's gain! Stay away from this store unless you like to be treated like yesterday's bread. To the owners: I hope you recognize and respect that customers come in as many shades as your fabric display!
