I enjoyed my time in Oklahoma City. My family and I stopped at Cabela to pick up something for my uncle's birthday. This store has a great selection of outdoor gear for great value. The have a room in the back with all their previous seasons' clearance. I recommend checking in there first. The service was great, from the time we walked into the store, we were greeted. They we're advertising a product to shake onto your food . So they made popcorn and I had the Cajun topping. read more

Nice store, not busy during day. This may be only our second time here. Good selection of sport clothing for both men and women. I came for a pair of Columbia capris that Bass Pro didn't have in my size. I was so happy to find them here. Same high price at $49. Love the style so hope will be worth the price. Will try them before buying a second pair. Regular stores like Target, Penneys, walmart don't carry enough sports clothing. So I know I have to pay for what I want. This store has about everything, even a fish tank in back. They were even doing Easter pics for kids. Further from my home but a good place to shop. read more

Not impressed at all. My husband and I walked in to pick up an order and separated at the entrance. I experienced interrogation by an elderly greeter. There was not a welcome greeting, only an authoritative question "Where are you from?" Shocked I said from here. He didn't like my answer or didn't expect what I said, therefore shouting he asked again. Again because my residence is within a 5 mile radius, I simply pointed down and replied with the same answer. We visited Cabela's because we were in the area and wanted to look at the boat we had been looking at Bass Pro for some time. John came over and introduced himself and said if we have any questions he could and would be happy to help. We told him we were working with Bass Pro on a boat and he said ok, but let me show you some things. We did not know Bass Pro did not sell Ranger boats. He showed us a 2024 that was discounted as an option. We said we would think about it. He talked about boat electronics for a bit with us and we said we would let you know what we decide. The next day I get a text with much info on electronics options and why or why not he recommended them. He put time and effort into that for us and it was very much appreciated. We ended up buying our boat from Bass Pro, because we had gotten a UTV a few months earlier and had been working with the same rep for about 6 months talking about boats with them. If it were not for those reasons John would have gotten our business. I recommend if wanting to make a power sports purchase, go have a chat with John from Cabela's. read more

There are not enough stars available. So 5+. We have a club credit card with Cabela's. They not only give you cash towards your purchase everytime we buy something. Tonight, we went to Cabela's Club night. They had sandwiches. Fruit. Desert. Etc. I've never had a credit card company thank their customers like this. Your customer service and website ordering is HORRIBLE!! My husband ordered a stuffed animal off Your website today, with the option of same day in store pick up, so after work, I went to the OKC store to get it. They couldn't find it, so the hunt began. I was told after a few minutes that their system said "released from truck". So basically it was there but not actually ready. Then I get taken to the customer service desk. The gentleman there talked to someone in receiving who would find it and get it ready and I could have it in 10 minutes. So, ok. I'll walk around and wait. (Mind you, i am staying calm) I go back to the online pick up window and the while I am standing there, I find out our order was canceled!!! so back to the customer service desk I go. Now there is a woman standing there, who said it was canceled, and that is because our order was NEVER THERE!! So, I have, by now, wasted an hour there! So, I left and my husband called to speak to a manager. To make this already long story short, she said they SOLD OUR ORDER TO SOMEONE WHO CAME IN TO BUY THE SAME THING!! SO, YOU CAN ORDER FROM THEM, BUT IF THE ITEM IS SHORT SUPPLY AND SOMEONE IN PERSON COMES IN, THEY SELL IT OUT FROM UNDERNEATH YOU!! THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST POLICY EVER!!! One of the smaller Cabela's I've ever seen, but they have a decent array of stuff and things to window shop for and then inevitably buy online from Amazon at a much lower price. Their bargain cave can yield some decent deals if you need some random shirts and whatnot. Great place to kill some time, but idk who actually shops here except for those who like wasting money. read more

Went in to purchase ammo and a new shotgun. Grabbed my ammo and went to the counter. One employee approached me and said how much money do you have in your pocket and how much can we get. Ignored him and kept browsing. Asked to look at a CZ 12ga with beautiful walnut finish. The next guy was just as pushy trying to sell me on it. Very unfortunate, seems like they may have been changed to commission. Used to just help and answer questions, now they're used car salesman. I'm usually of fan of Cabela's but this location is just a miss for me. I'm not sure why it was built so small and limited. I get it's owned by the same company as Bass Pro but I don't always want to go downtown. Also it's in more of a shopping area so the convenience is a plus. However, I'm finding myself having to still go to Bass Pro right afterwards because I'm not finding what I need and I don't want to wait for an online order. The aisles are close together making the shopping experience cramped. I feel the irony of shopping for the outdoors in a tight space. I didn't know Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's are now owned by the same company. Get 'yer Bass Pro trucker caps or tee shirts here! And find most anything else for your next hunting or fishing outdoor adventure here. This is a huge store. We aren't avid outdoors people so we stick to the clothes and shoes, mostly. They have clothing and shoes for the whole family. They stock a variety of clothing brands like Yeti, Columbia, The North Face, Carhartt, Redhead, Under Armour, and a bunch more. I wish they carried more Life is Good brand stuff. They have some LIG women's clothing, but no men's and none of their other accessories like coffee cups either. They also don't carry a wide variety of fancy women's yoga-wear. Better to hit up specialty women's activewear stores instead. I really enjoyed some of their casual clothing for women. A lot of their clothing has a hippy vibe that I was really digging. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Most outdoors stuff seems to be related to hunting and fishing. If you are looking for more hiking, skiing, and rock climbing, this retail spot really isn't your best bet. Need a gift for someone who loves to hunt or fish? They offer gift cards! Also, I'd say the store really is an experience in and of itself. I would recommend giving a gift card to your friend or loved one. That way they can come here and walk around in here just to take a look--it's different experience for sure. Don't forget to peruse the bargain cave in the far back of the store. Cabelas is a crap shoot ever since bass pro bought them. Here in OKC they where you could play off both to potentially get a good deal. They just don't care anymore. Their firearm experts are by far not even in same category as me. I inquired about their gunsmithing service but all they do is mostly is just attached scopes. They don't even have the right equipment to do a good job with it.I wish they would hire this smith to bring them to the next level. read more

I like buying used guns here in their "Gun Library," but the last time I was here, I brought my dad and he disappeared for like 45 minutes. I thought it was super weird since my dad is not into hunting, fishing, guns, etc., but upon searching for him and actually paying attention to the merchandise for the first time, I realized this place is a total dad store! They have every dad article of clothing possible: every type of dad hat, every type of dad shirt/vest, every type of dad cargo pant/short, random ass utility tools, even damn fanny packs. The place itself is super nice. It feels like it's cleaned and organized constantly. They have a bunch of other random stuff too like food, snacks, etc. Altogether, it's a pretty fun place. read more

I went to this Cabela's in search of some .45 Long Colt ammunition for my Henry Mare's Leg. It's a little harder to find than you might think, especially the ammo I was looking for. I immediately made my way to the hunting department in search of the aforementioned ammo and was promptly greeted by a gentleman that guided me over to where the ammo I was looking for was located. He briefly described the different types of ammo and was very helpful in giving me the information I needed to purchase the right ammo. Overall, the prices were fair given that it's a big department store. I would like to see a bigger selection of guns, or at least see the hunting/shooting department be comparable to their fishing department. Cabela's isn't a bad place to throw down a couple of dollars when you need that something you cannot wait on through Amazon. read more

Well as an owner of 4 firearms I think that your guys are finding ridiculous reasons not selling you precious treasures. So just keep them yourself and close your business. Such a nice outdoorsy store! I went for the first time ever when we took our son for Santa photos. They have a cute area for kids to play in and a gorgeous aquarium area with a pretend outdoor scenic. The aquarium have some chubby catfishes. The pictures with Santa turned out gorgeous and we even splurged on their packages which was quite affordable and generous. So much cheaper than the mall! Santa was even legit! He had a real beard and even laughed like a real Santa. We walked around and looked at the products. We aren't planning anything outdoorsy right now in December but we know where to go for the future. Great store, clean, and nice staffs. We will be back! read more

I just love coming here. Most of my money does too lol. For hunting: they have what I need and much more. For outdoor activities such as rock climbing, camping etc. they have about 30% of what I need. For fishing, it's hit and miss. Sometimes I end up going to BassPro. I find their selection better overall got that. Overall I like the customer service and deals they offer. I'm a card holder but I don't find that the perks of having it truly makes it worth having. Unless you're using it for a corporate account or have tens of thousands to spend on a regular. Skip it. Overall I give them 4 stars for being a place I love to shop and having staff that treat people nice. read more

I have been trying to order a part and have been calling since 12:30 this afternoon. Nobody is answering the phone in the parts department. I have talked to the operator and told her nobody's answering the phone in that department. So,what does she do. Transfers me to the same department where nobody's answering the phone. Really bad service. Why dosen't she know that nobody's is in that department. Why dosen't the parts department have a message saying that nobody's is available. The people who work at this Cabela's go above and beyond to be caring and helpful! When we left the store we realized our battery had died, and this is in 24 degree freezing cold weather! The FIRST person to offer to help us was a Cabela's employee named Mason who was leaving his shift. Thank you, Mason!!! It turns out our car needed more than just a jump, so we waited a long time inside this Cabela's waiting for AAA to come help. We made some purchases while we were waiting, and the lady who checked us out was so kind, a young man employee noticed we had dropped our debit card accidentally and ran to pick it up for us, and the manager was quick to help us learn the name of the employee who helped us with our car earlier so we could thank him. Usually Yelp is always spot on if I like a place then check in I noticed it has great reviews or vice versa. I was shocked to see so many negative reviews here! My husband and I come in here occasionally for the past couple years and we've never had any issues! The staff is always friendly and I always notice someone in each department and they usually almost greet you with a smile but don't come over and hound us... My husband has always found what he needs here whether it be more shotgun shells or some new spice mix to grill chicken with it's always been here... their bargain cave is fun in the back he's also found some cheap athletic shoes back there.. I'm not much of an outdoorsy girl but it is fun to look at their northface/Columbia selection as well as all their candy and food mixes they carry always full on stock of everything it seems! read more

I feel like it's smaller than the Bass Pro store downtown and it probably is but I'm not basing that off anything but my perception of it. When it first opened and was still it's own company there was a much larger section for dogs. I have been to Cabela's in 2 other states and was always helped. I have been here twice. And was followed around both times. The employees tried to be sneaky about it too. The first time I wanted to see the gen 5 g19. Waited at the gun counter there was a couple in front of me. The couple left and the assaoviate at the counter helped a group of people that showed up after me. No big deal right. I waited for the group to be finished, and I asked to see the g19. Was told to wait and never came back to help me. Initially I just thought it was bad customer service. I left the counter to get a gun case and look at flip up sights. So I start walking around to find the cases. I noticed an employee behind me. So, when I turned around to ask where they keep the gun cases, and the employee immediately dipped into an isle. I found the cases and bought one. My next visit was to get a front sight. I asked someone as I walked in, and they sent me to the right area. Pick up a Magpul pro. Which was in an anti theft box. Walked around looked at some ammo and snap caps. As I was doing that, I noticed two employees in the area. No big deal. I started walking towards the customer service desk to get my rewards number and I noticed the same two employees following me. As, I was waiting to get mt number I turned around and the two employees immediately looked away. I got my number, paid for the sight at check out, and left. The only saving grace here are the employees at the registers, and the girl training a new employee at customer service. Not once in both visits, was I asked if I needed any help. This store has a lot of associates on the floor not doing anything. I'm not one to be paranoid. But, this store is ridiculous. As for the gen5 g19 I was interested in, there are local gun shops that offer the blue label discount or will price match. read more

Yesterday I went to cabelas for my annual gear-restock trip. It's the only store I ever go to. Ever. My one public outing a year. I hunt, gather, and forage for my meals and I live totally off the grid. (Except for this cell phone.) i flourish in my own skin - quite literally, as I don't wear anything else. Unless I'm in cabela's. My one complaint would be the entrapment of the fish in cabela's fish tank. I want to point this more towards bass pro corporate. This company has really went down hill over the last couple of years and since they took over cabelas. Bass pro wants to shout how "family oriented" they are but can't even let there workers off on "family holidays" it's awful. All the company does is push there workers to sell capital one credit cards "which customers do not want." I have started refusing to shop there and spend my money at any bass pro company. If you can't treat you're workers good enough to let them off on the holidays when requested days prior. Then why would I want to support something like that. And I don't even work there. And I hope this isn't just taken with a grain of salt. I hope this makes wakes. I'm not a person to do reviews on company's. But I hope somebody in the corporate tree reads this. Thanks. read more

The store was very clean and it was easy to navigate in with a stroller. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because we were not helped by the associates. Got the jacket I wanted from their selection I found online. They had plenty in stock which was nice since I couldn't confirm that online. Despite me being able to find this easily on my own, no one greeted me or asked if I needed any help even though I passed three employees at the front of the store. To top off the lack of customer service, I asked the woman at the register how the feature of the jacket to fold up into a pouch works. She just said "I don't know." No further explanation or offer to help. Pretty off putting and, in my mind, defeats the purpose of going to an outdoor store that should provide better customer service about their products. Shopped here recently and bought a fly rod. Pros: Return and discount section yielded some bargains for me on the rod. Cons: Staff knew nothing about fly fishing or the equipment and had very little selection. Downtown BP offers a much better selection and staff. read more

So much for their grand opening they didn't have the dehydrator that they were advertising supposedly all sold out, they didn't have any left-handed holsters for a 9 mm. I want to buy a Smith & Wesson 45 but they didn't have any. And as for the dehydrator I was told they do not give rain checks. read more

I went into Cabela's looking for material and equipment to reload my shotgun shells. They had a lot of items for a pistol and rifle reloads but not much for shotguns. With the items they had for shotgun it was mainly for 20 gauge. It was hard to find anyone for assistance while shopping. read more

Wouldn't normally comment but the rating for this store are way below the 4 or 5 experiences I have had there. Not sure why folks care that it's "not big". It carries everything I have gone to look for and I have learned to check the national website first for the unannounced sales items that have saved me a lot!. The staff, while new, are great folks. The ammo, camping gear and register staff are all excellent even if I do object to being asked my date of birth to buy ammo. As a note, I don't think anyone mistakes me for being under 21... I still prefer the Edmond Summit Company and Backwoods over on N May for higher quality specialized items, but this place adds to the variety available on items that I look for. read more
