I didnt really know what I was looking for but the shop assistant was very helpful and accommodating. Despite being an older lady she was quite happy to run up and down ladders retrieving products for me to have a look at. The shop was very well laid out despite its small size and awkward dimensions. Needlework isnt something that I am personally interested but I easily found the perfect gift and a look around the shop certainly captured my imagination. If I was looking for similar goods in the future this would be the first place I would visit.

The Cloth Shop has an expansive range of fabrics and that's really their speciality but that's only just the beginning. The other departments are also really well stocked and with great variety too. There's a table and chairs upstairs along with some sewing pattern books with designs of varying levels of difficulty. This is a really good source of inspiration and helpful for beginners. It is not a very big shop but is well stocked with fabrics and other sewing items such as zips, ribbons, buttons etc. The prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly, helpfull and approachable. My first stop when I ever get time to make anything.

The staff were really friendly and helpful - and were more than happy to help me find what I was looking for. They have a huge selection of fabrics at Fabric Bazaar - and it's all very reasonably priced.They found me some fabric that was just what I was looking for - and far cheaper than I had been quoted elsewhere. After cutting it and rolling it up for me, they even carried it to my car. It doesn't get much better than that!

They buy job lots, so that affects what they have in stock, but they keep their Facebook page updated with what they have in and they also gave me a business card and told me to phone any time I wanted to ask about stock. I couldn't believe the prices - I got pure wool for £4.99 a metre and linen for £5.99 a metre. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful - I think I'm going to be a regular here! :-)

The kinds things that you see when you're in Morocco, South America or Thailand and would love to buy but know there's no point even trying to get it back the the UK in one piece. They have drapes, throws, incense, jewellery, handmade notebooks, hanging masks/purses/bags/just about anything you can think of to hand-make... but the best thing is the prices. The kind of ethnic-looking jewellery or homeware you'd happily pay loads for in a department store can be snapped up here for pennies. Don't miss... the pashminas. The amount of times people have stroked whichever of Lokaah's pashminas from my extensive collection that I'm wearing that day and asked where I got it from, and told me how they bet it had cost a bomb, has to be some kind of indicator! What's more, you can bag yourself one for as little as £2. My description of this place doesn't do it justice - you have to go and see for yourself.

Definitely come here if you're into harem pants, incense, and saris. In my opinion Lokaah is a cut above other similar shops that tend to be incredibly expensive. In particular Lokaah stocks a range of amazing hand-carved wooden figures and chests that make ideal gifts. They even accept Euros here, so stop by to unload unwanted shrapnel on lovely trinkets.

That all happened yesterday, and I received my items today. Really high quality materials. I cannot commend this company enough and will certainly buy from them again. I was in here yesterday to get some threaded sequins for my Hallowe'en costume. (supposed to be ringmaster: looking more like pornographic clown) The sequin reels were only 40p a metre, which is totally affordable. Their range of fabrics is huge, and a few definitely caught my eye - especially the red and black fur. They have buttons and wool; patches and ribbons; and a seasonal Hallowe'en section. The Hallowe'en section has small accessories such as wigs, hats and masks. It's made me want to start making my own clothes, but this will probably go the same way as my jewellery-making, hat-knitting and my "eBay business empire".
