First time here. The two young men made to feel like a Queen. They were so nice as well as the young lady who brought me my food. It was hot and delicious. The place was nice and clean. The ice cream is good (toasted coconut, mint chip, super hero). The Pineapple whip is delicious! It would be nice if the menu was in a couple spots for guests to see while waiting in line (not just at the window you order). It could help keep the line moving. One bummer to note: they didn't serve all party members at or around the same time. Server jumped around serving different parties and ultimately forgot two orders. He came back to the window to ask what the orders were. Odd, since they entered something into a tablet when you placed the order. Will try again another time. I don't usually do reviews but I feel this place deserves one. We have been here a few times and the ice cream is always fresh. They have different desserts/blends all of the time and they are always tasty. They give out little umbrellas on some of the drinks/desserts which is a nice little touch. They have food now(like hotdogs and burgers) which we haven't tried yet, but we plan to. The staff is always friendly. They are prompt and answer any questions. When we went today, the owner gave hats to my two children unexpectedly and I thought that was super sweet. It's only outdoor seating, but they make it feel comfortable with umbrellas, tikis and lush plants. They have outdoor games as well. It's one of our new favorite spots. read more

My sister is visiting from out of town and was looking for ice cream places and found this gem. Everything we ordered was so good and refreshing! We took a couple of bites into the pineapple dole whip and the watermelon whip and wanted to get more so we also ordered the watermelon float. I'm glad we did! The watermelon juice it was in was perfect, like freshly juiced watermelons. We also got the banana pudding malt and my husband said it was the best malt he ever had. I went to Cabana Boy Ice Cream with my mother and 2 kids. Customer service must not be part of the employee handbook. My daughter, age 6, ordered a strawberry soft serve kid's cone. She took one lick and didn't like it. She said it was too sour. It wasn't sweet like strawberry ice cream. So I immediately brought it back up and said that my daughter didn't like it, could we get vanilla instead? And they said we'd have to buy another cone if she wanted vanilla. But no one ate the strawberry. It was still full. We didn't know it wouldn't be sweet like normal strawberry ice cream. We were willing to give the cone back as proof we didn't eat it, but they weren't willing to replace it. As if that wasn't already bad customer service, my mother ordered the Matterhorn sundae, which is chocolate ice cream on the bottom, pineapple chunks, pineapple dole with coconut flakes and hard shell chocolate as toppings. My mother doesn't like coconut flakes so she asked if the chocolate sprinkles could be substituted. They said she'd have to pay for an extra topping if she wanted chocolate sprinkles. She wasn't asking for an extra topping, she was asking for one topping to be exchanged for another. It's the same number of toppings. That's ridiculous. Won't be returning. It's a shame because the pineapple whip was actually pretty decent. And it had a pretty cool tiki party theme. read more

My wife and I went there with our daughter and we were completely impressed. I had a pineapple upside down Sunday which was so delicious, my wife had a Dole Whip float and our daughter had just a scoop of birthday cake ice cream. Everything was delicious but what was more impressive was how friendly the staff was especially Chuck who served us. The place was so cute and all tiki style with vintage tiki music playing. I stopped by with some friends this weekend for the first time and I loved it. I got their pumpkin cheesecake ice cream and banana pudding ice cream. I can't even say which was my favorite, they were both just so amazing. It was so creamy and not overwhelmingly sweet. My friend and I also split an apple pie Sunday. I was a little hesitant of the cherry dole in the middle, but I was pleasantly surprised at how it paired so well with the vanilla and apple pie. I live in West Palm, but go up to that area several times a year, so I'm very excited to come back and try their new seasonal flavors read more

Oh my goodness, this little ice cream shop is amazing, very cute Polynesian flair owned by a cute little couple who are very kind and accommodating. When I learned that they carried the Dole Pineapple whip, I couldn't wait to try it. We went back 3 times within one week with other family and friends. They are located in the former Banana Boat location on Avenue G, NW. They purchased this facility and have completely remodeled it themselves. read more
