After ordering drinks and food, we waited 30min to receive our drinks...after one hour from ordering our appetizer, it finally arrived but it was VERY small and cold...5min after receiving our appetizer, we already got the main course, so we think that they honestly just forgot about our appetizers. I had a rib eye steak with beans and mashed potatoes. The steak was very tough and the mashed potatoes were not made from scratch At least the beans tasted good. My boyfriend had beef but was only served 3 little slices, aside of little vegetables and a small portion of mashed potatoes for the price of €26. He said it was ok but he didn't get stuffed from the meal and thought the price was too high. We will for sure not return to the restaurant and cannot suggest it to anybody.

Our tour…read moreguide had stopped in front of this restaurant earlier and talked about it having been family run and locals concerned about what would happen as they sold it. She explained it still was a local favorite. So that's exactly where we headed when we wanted to stop and eat. Initially it wasn't busy and we were seated at round table easily seating 6. Ordering was a bit confusing. The waiter didn't seem to speak English. Some of the menu items were displayed in a case that included quite an array. We finally asked for something similar to a small charcuterie board, and of course asked for the house wine. Before long it arrived and after we started to eat another gentleman was escorted to our table and placed his own lunch order. He didn't speak any English and but we exchanged pleasantries. Soon after another gentleman he knew joined us. Then shortly there after another, who spoke English and we had quite a nice conversation together. We indeed enjoyed the food and low key atmosphere. But we will always remember these 3 retired architects who met decades ago when they came to take advantage of the lunch special and got to be friends. They also suggested a couple of things to see that weren't suggested by our guide that we later did go to see. It's why we love to go places the locals like! Would absolutely want to return to this place if we return to Zurich!

Great food great atmosphere cool location. Service was perfect. Highly recommended. Best Spanish…read morerestaurant in Lucerne
