Let's start with the overall review. Everything here was great from the beginning of service all…read morethe way to dessert. This place has such a reputation that they don't even have a sign out front advertising their name. How did we get in? You can only enjoy paella here if you make a reservation by phone one day in advance. So don't just pop in and expect to be served haha! The reason for this is that they prepare your paella specifically for the group in your reservation to come out at the proper time. That being said, it's probably better to arrive early for your reservation and have a drink than it is to arrive late so that you are there when the paella finishes cooking. Main Course: We did not order an appetizer because we knew that the paella for 2 was really enough food for 4 people haha . We ordered a paella for 2 de mariscos (seafood). It was quite simply one of the best food experiences I've ever had! The prawns were so soft. The other little little seafood critters were a bit crunchy, offering a nice contrast. We also had two mini lobsters which contained maybe the softest meat I've ever tasted. The house wine was a good accompaniment to the paella too! Dessert: Honestly we were stuffed after eating the paella, and yes we finished all of it! Even though we were so full, we had seen some desserts come out before finishing and they looked delicious so we had to do it haha ! My wife Valí ordered the cheesecake (like she always does) and I ordered the flan (like I always do)! They were both awesome! In summary, if you come to Valencia you should make the effort to go to playa Pinedo and make a reservation the day before you go for this spot right off the beach. You won't regret it! Life's too short not to do it!

Paella originated in Valencia, so we knew when we were in the area that's what we just HAD to have!…read more We searched out one of the highest recommended places a little off the beaten path so parking would be easy to find outside of the main city since we were starving and didn't want to waste ANY time!! We originally drove right passed the cute A-frame converted house. I'm not sure if the listing is off a hair or not, but if you too miss it, it's on the left hand side heading towards the beach. If you hit the gas station you went too far. Like I said, we were starving so we started immediately with patatas, which were super good! The best we had in all of Spain, and we ate our fair share! Little did we know they were actually so unnecessary as an app because of how hearty a portion the paella was! The paella is priced and prepared per person. We ordered for two for me and my two littles, and that was still WAY too much!! (Order less here unless you intend on eating leftovers for days!) The paella was unreal!! I'm so sad I fear I will never ever have it this good again!! It came piping hot in a huge skillet. It was full of flavor, moist with broth and packed with veggies! I'm honestly salivating thinking about it right now! It was absolutely incredible! 5 Star no doubt! They had many varieties to chose from as well as other delectable dishes, but I would hate to see someone come here and not taste their paella! They also have traditional and fusion desserts, none of which we had room for and great wine list which was vast and filled with many locally grown reds, which would go perfectly with the paella. We thought the prices were overall super reasonable, but I didn't like that the bread basket, which was not good, and which we assumed was complimentary because it was given without asking for it showed up on our bill. Granted it was only €2.50, but we didn't ask for it. We didn't want it. We barely ate it. I can't help but feel that move is a super shady. I didn't like it. It has nothing to do with money and everything to do with me making my own decision to throw my money away on my own terms. And we were already paying 2.50 for a carafe of two water. Lame. This is the reason I'm knocking off a star! The service was just fine, although she was so beautiful I found myself staring. I chalked the lack of hospitality up to the language barrier. A lot of pointing despite me knowing a decent amount of Spanish. The place was lovely and quaint and had a very homey, authentic feeling to it. There's some street parking, but they do have a lot to the left that can hold a few cars and bikes.
