The glass wall to wall doors, when opened, create an open space, merging indoor and outdoor sitting. Perfect for CoVID era life. Draft local bear was served cold and was excellent. For appetizers we chose to share a Caprese salad ( excellent, very generous portion, perfect balance of flavors and textures. It is a slight modification of traditional Italian version, here they added a few olives and mix salad leaves). The second appetizer was from tapas menu- crispy artichoke with Parmesan. The first time we tried it was in Rome, a whole artichoke was dipped into boiling oil. Here it was the artichoke petals fried with sprinkles of shaved salt and generous Parmesan shaves. I would give it 4 out of 5 only because to my taste they overdid it with salt. Otherwise, the taste was excellent. For the main course we both chose fried sole fish with French fries ( here called chips) and mixed veggies. The portion was huge and we couldn't even have a desert. The fish was fried in butter and served with the best French fries I have had - crispy on outside and soft on the inside. The last time I had such tasty French fries was in Brussels, the motherland of French fries :). The fish was very fresh and cooked just right. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall, highly recommend for a relaxed lunch or dinner

Cheesy but true:) This place is in Port Soller and has a really pretty dining room. We went on a cold weekday night in early March and it was just so warm and snug inside. Believe me when i say EVERYTHING on the menu is really good. My husband ordered the Argentinian beef (which took 30 minutes to cook) but when it finally came, he said he hadn't tasted beef that good in a long time - and we live in TX so we're in beef country. I had the daily special which was a grouper filet. Also very very good. Es Passeig is the kind of eatery that really puts time into the little details. They like to match ingredients together that you wouldn't find anywhere else e.g. string beans, beets, and horseradish - who would've thought all of that in a salad would taste magical? Their desserts are out of this world - must save room for them. This isn't a cheap place - about 25 euros per entree and then another 9 euros per dessert - but its worth it. What a lovely gem in one of the most charming cities in Mallorca, Port Soller. We'll def try to go back on our next visit to Mallorca!

My waiter was well versed in the menu and took the time to explain the significance of the local ingredients used throughout each course, which added a lot to the experience. I opted for the regular tasting menu at €47.50 and added a bottle of white Mallorcan wine for €24.50, both excellent values. They open with xeixa and carob bread, and from there every course delivered. The dogfish and the goat croquette were personal highlights and absolutely worth trying. The dessert was a strong finish to a well constructed meal. One small note at the end: when finished, you head inside to the host to request the check rather than waiting at the table. For the price, this is a fantastic experience. There's something special about watching local ingredients handled by people who clearly know and respect the region's culinary traditions. The food and presentation were fabulous. I enjoyed the beef cheek confit and the trio of chocolates the most, tho the truffle mellow rice with marinated red prawn was delightful as well. The chocolate trio consisted of a small brownie, a dollop of chocolate ganache, and a white chocolate with pistachios--just the right amount of sweets for me. The wine was okay, and I paid €12.50 extra for the Sóller prawns stew, but would not do that again as I found the 2 shrimp in a thick brown sauce to be tasty but a bit bland. The reason they lost a star is because they sat me in a room all by myself. They apologized saying the outdoor patio was full, tho there were some open tables presumably for other reservations, but it really dimmed the whole experience for me. Right before the chocolates came out, the server was kind to offer a spot outside that had opened up due to a no-show reservation, but I was on my last dish of 6 and didn't want to dirty another table, so my only dinner companions were the servers coming and going to the kitchen and bar. I would return, but I would definitely want to sit on the back patio.
