We stopped in for brunch and everything we ordered was really good, but the Breakfast Hangover Burger completely stole the show for me. A burger topped with smoked ham, an over easy egg, avocado, American cheese, jalapeños, fried onion straws, and sriracha aioli sounds like someone lost a bet and just kept adding ingredients. Somehow it all works perfectly. We also ordered the Monte Cristo, which was crispy, cheesy, and exactly what I want when I order a Monte Cristo. Another highlight weee the donuts. Fresh, hot, and perfect for sharing. The service was great, the food came out quickly, and the whole experience was just really enjoyable. Definitely worth the trip.

As I have the past several times here, I went with the egg and carnitas tacos. I added a side of fresh fruit...both the eggs and fruit were very good. As the Benedict my wife loved is no longer on the menu, she had the avocado toast with eggs. She added a large size of the breakfast potatoes and was glad she did. While she liked the taste of the avocado toast, she was very disappointed in the small size of the portion. She wish she had more. One daughter had the Mardi Gras omelette for the first time. While she liked the flavor, the fact that the ham was a full slice (lunchmeat style), as opposed to chunks or cubes, was weird...and required cutting with a knife. The other daughter tried the quiche for the first time and loved it. It is one of the better quiches around. Coffee is very good as well. Service was fine for the most part.

I've had the chance…read moreto eat there twice now--once inside the restaurant and once out on their patio--and both experiences were great. The patio is especially nice on a sunny Colorado day. I ordered the filet mignon salad, and honestly it was to die for. At first I thought it was a little unusual that the salad came with fingerling potatoes, but wow... it totally works. Steak and potatoes are a classic pairing, and somehow putting them on a salad just makes it even better. The filet was cooked perfectly and everything tasted really fresh. My husband ordered a sandwich (I wish I could remember exactly which one), but he really enjoyed it and said the French fries were excellent too. Overall, great food, a relaxed atmosphere, and a spot we'll definitely be coming back to. Service has always been great!

The Benedict has a very rich and unique taste. It's not bad, just different. The million dollar bacon is way too sweet. It tastes like bacon cake which if that's your jam you'll love it. We loved this place when it was Tribe but our one complaint is when at capacity you can't even hear the person across the table from you. I don't mind a mild roar but this is like people are standing next to you screaming in your ear. Look, we support local businesses and this place is no exception. I think that we had very high hopes for this place and our fist round was fairly average. The service was good and, again, people who work here seem to take real pride in the restaurant so kudos for that for sure! BTW, they are starting to do dinner Thursday-Sunday. We haven't tried it but we were told to come back for dinner which we will certainly do.

For dessert, I've only had their creme brûlée; but again, YUMMY. Drinks = They have a good variety of soda, beer, wine, italian sodas, etc. Service = The waiters are always friendly and accommodating. Extra condiments on request! :) The front desk is sometimes not 100% friendly, but that's probably because they're so BUSY. Ambience = The church side has awesome ambience, although it feels a tad cramped. But it's a pretty cool setting for an italian restaurant. The "pizza parlor" side feels more spacious but also more like a typical pizza restaurant. It's fine. Location/parking = Location's near downtown but has plenty of parking down the street. They are basically kings on their block -- not really any other parking competition nearby.

I've been wanting to hit up Scileppi's for a while since I haven't been in town in what seems like forever. Placed a to-go order, came out to $45 + $5 tip for a piece of pizza (added extra toppings), and the gnocchi in vodka sauce instead of red + grilled chicken. Also 4 garlic knots and a cannoli. The pizza was great and the slice was hugeeee. The knots were garlic knots, nothing crazy. But the gnocchi, ugh it was not good. The sauce was so sour like they didn't cook off the vodka or something. Took a couple of bites to make sure I wasn't crazy and tossed it. It wasn't creamy like a typical vodka sauce. There was no flavor in the form of seasoning, just sour. It killed the whole vibe. The chicken was ok but since it had the vodka sauce on it, it was tossed out along with the gnocchi. We shared the slice of pizza and called it a night. Sad night for Italian food and the old stone church.

Danielle's Scratch Kitchen is damn near the same as what I am used to. The chicken parm might be the best I've had (other than what mama made). My wife and I each started with a glass of wine, and then even though we hadn't planned to get an appetizer, we decided to order a side of bread with oil. The bread was amazing! It was a large order, and both the consistency and flavor were fantastic. There were a few different dishes I was considering, including the halibut, but since this was our first visit, I decided to go with the chicken Marsala, which many on here have raved about. First, it was a big portion with two large chicken breasts. On a future visit, my wife and I could split an appetizer or salad and then one order of the chicken. Next, flavor of everything was wonderful. Unlike a typical Marsala, which can be very heavy and overpowering, this sauce was lighter...in color, consistency, and taste. It was a perfect compliment to the chicken. Asparagus and potatoes were delicious too. My wife got the ravioli with pesto, and she really enjoyed her dish as well. Service was warm, pleasant, there when we needed it, but not overpowering, exactly what you'd hope for and expect from a restaurant of this stature. Very happy we finally got here. We'll definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

Ecclesia has over gone a lot of changes since I visited earlier this year, so make sure to be open minded when you visit! First, the book shop *squeel* Adorable! Quaint, cute, decent selection, good children's section and they feature local authors. Support your local bookstores!!! They are wonderful. If you didn't know, this is a mini-food hall of sorts. There are several food vendors: a Bar at the top, a restaurant I've yet to visit alongside it, as well as several spots to eat downstairs. Downstairs they have : - A bagel spot (get there early for the best selection and don't be disappointed if they run out- that's what it means to have fresh baked daily!) - A great BBQ spot (this is coming from a KC native and BBQ critic!) - Apres coffee - a cute coffee shop with alternative milks and Italian sodas options. - A stuffed pita restaurant (I'm sorry I don't know the name!) - Gluttony and Graze, for salads and gourmet hot dogs and burgers - And don't sleep on the cute little kiosk to order Mexican food! I didn't get a chance to check it out, but it's next on my list to try! Though, please note all of these places have different operating hours - though you're mostly safe Wed-Sun. Either call ahead or be open minded when you come in, just in case! Overall, highly recommended. People sleep on it because the outside is unassuming, but you have to try it at least once!
