I do wish they had a bigger selection of back issue Amazing spider-man though. Not a huge manga selection but about half of one wall. Staff greets you and helpful on my visits. Nothing bad to say on my part about this store if you're into comics.

I haven't had a monthly pull list in some time and I doubt I return to that, at least not at the level I did when I was younger, but if I did this place would be the place to do it. Very well organized, well displayed, friendly service, a healthy mixture of new and back-issues, trades and single issues. Sure they have toys, collectibles and the associated ephemera, but unlike at some comic shops that stuff doesn't take over and replace the focus on the comics themselves. Did I mention they have a rewards program? Cash points for your next visit based on your purchase today and a tracking system in case you accidentally try to buy the same back issue twice. New trades are 20%, so skip Amazon and buy local. I bought up a handful of stuff to catch up on things I had missed and to just sample what's going on these days in the comics world. It appears there's a Rick's in Nashville too which may be closer to me though I might stick with this one even so as it thoroughly impressed me.

You are about to experience the awe and mystery of, The Outer Limits! You've been seeking an experience. An adventure. Well, now you've found it. The Outer Limits is out there alright. But not so much for the hoard of Pokémon Trainers, who flock to this establishment to engage in the fantasy world of playing and trading. For them this is serious fun. For I, as an observer, it's a one of a kind experience to delve into the mysterious world, and minds, of my new friends. On my visit the store was packed to the Limits. From the Outer portion, to the inner sanctum. That's where games were afoot. The participants paid no attention to this pathogen who looked over shoulders in an attempt to make sense of what the eyes were taking in. Make sense? I couldn't. But it was fun watching the ones who knew what they were doing, enjoying themselves. Each digging into their prerequisite backpacks, ferreting through their game pieces in an attempt to gain advantage. At least that's what I think they were doing. I have no idea as to the process, or for that matter, the outcome. But what I do know, all were having a blast, albeit in a controlled intellectual way. I had a blast too. I admire this sect of game followers, these who dwell on the fringes. They're in their own world. One fraught with challenges of the game, as the real world meanders. In the game, they're in control. We on the outside looking in, can only watch in awe, and wonder. If it's collectable that you're interested in, it's here. Comics, cards, and weird doll things (you know what they are, me, I just shrug the shoulders). Enter the Outer Limits, where Reality ends and fantasy begins. Quick Tip: The card prices seem to be fair. But I have no perspective from which to judge. I being a sports card collector and not fantasy. I can only fantasize that one day I'll come across a rare Mickey Mantle for cheap. I wouldn't know a Pikachu Illustrator from a Alpha Black Lotus. Hmm...could those be the ones I used as drink coasters?

I would say that if you are completely new to collecting you might end up here on accident…read more They seem to be a little sketchy and shady on some stuff, especially with Pokemon. The service is fine, but the value you receive for the selling compared to what they expect in pricing is kind of ridiculous. I would be a little cautious on going here.

The selection for used single issue comics is massive, but the selection for new releases as well as trades is always very limited, so if there is something specific you want, it's best to add it to a pull list otherwise you miss out. The prices on everything is usually pretty good, but be wary on some of the singles. It's not very often that a single is outwardly expensive compared to its market price, but every now and then you may overpay. Im a seasoned collector, but if I look at the business from the point of view as a new comic book collector, I would say that the shop could use a bit of growing. The staff, as I said, is very friendly, but they could definitely do a bit better at making conversation easier with new faces. Overall, I think if you're new to collecting, just go inside and ask questions. Be honest and say you don't know what you're doing. Several of them will be more than happy to help. Finally, I would like to see a more expansive selection of trades. When I used to go there, there was always 2-3 shelves full of trades and now it's one manga and one trades. I love manga, but there are trades I'd really rather buy from a small business instead of going to say Barnes and noble.

The magazine section is much smaller and sadder (I was looking for a specific issue of Time and they didn't have that, but plenty of AR-15 mags). Parts of the store that used to be full of books now have FUNKO figures and kids toys, as well as Bible calendars. They also have a section for anime and board games, so the nerd factor is still there, though not on the level of independent shops. They have a coffee shop and a lot of history/biography/study guide/fiction books. The spots reserved for sitting and reading are gone. It is past its prime, but in the time of Amazon, and outside of big cities, what place isn't?

Well there were not a lot in that area and they are just on the shelf in no particular order so after standing there looking over every shelf (for over 10 minutes) with no one else around to ask- I left. I'll just order it from another seller online (that is cheaper but I was willing to pay a little more to get it that day). This is why I don't go into book stores. I don't want to have to search through shelves of books trying to fine 1 book. Can we at least have it some what organized by authors last names alphabetical in the shelves. Like top shelf is A-c or something.
