The kids all got to pet and love on the ponies, "help" clean the pony stall (pretty sure this was my 2 year old's favorite part), and then ride the ponies around the paddock. We loved it so much we ended up hosting my kids' birthday party here about 2 months later. It was such a hit with everyone that was able to make it. They had a beautiful patio area (with great shade from the heat) set up for us. It made set-up on my part incredibly easy. The kids got to ride Ricky around with Cowboy Justus leading them. He was so great to all the kids, and they had so much fun. Miss D was so helpful (and the absolute sweetest) with everything, and the kids really enjoyed following her around to feed the goats and chickens. The animals all were very kind and gentle with the kids, and seem very well socialized. Clean-up was so easy. 10/10 would go again.

She knew all the horses personally and could read them like a book. She also took pictures of us along the way and air dropped them to us at the end of our trip which was a huge plus. The place was easy to find, plenty of parking, and the instructions for riding you receive ahead of time (as long as you follow them) are perfect. I do recommend a hat or sunscreen. The trail ride is beautiful, the lake even more so. This experience was an anniversary gift to my wife because she loves horses and grew up with them and this was the perfect gift. I rode on Hercules and my wife on Rango, the cute inseparable duo. Hercules had me laughing throughout the ride and definitely has a mind of his own and a stomach as much as I tried to keep him from snacking along the way. They were welcoming, patient, knowledgeable, and made every student feel included. Our students had an incredible opportunity to learn about ranch and farm life, tractors, horses, foals, farm animals, hay, and the daily responsibilities of caring for a ranch. The hands-on experiences were the highlight of the day. Students were able to groom horses, interact with animals, ask questions, and gain a real appreciation for agriculture and animal care. Terry and his team kept the students engaged from beginning to end. What made this experience even more special was Terry Howard's generosity. Shadow Glen donated approximately three hours of their time at no charge to educate three classes of Center Joint Unified School District students. That level of community support is truly appreciated. Our students are still talking about the trip, and the adults had just as much fun as the kids. It was an outstanding experience from start to finish.

My wife and I were staying at the "Tiny House" on the estate of Saluti Cellars in Somerset. Feeling adventurous on our 18th anniversary, we booked a two-hour "River Run" with Saluti Horse Adventures. This was my wife's FIRST time on horse, and she was very nervous, but owners David and Brenda was exceedingly friendly and accommodating to this. Among their countless well-trained horses, they personally selected the best possible horse, "Blackjack," for my wife, and by the end of the ride my wife was hugging and snuggling with Blackjack as if they'd been old friends for years. The ride itself was easy and and very scenic, and David told adventurous stories throughout. In the middle of the ride, at the river, we got off our horses and watered them, and the ride back took us near the beautiful Saluti vineyard. We wholeheartedly recommend Saluti Horse Adventures, and we can't wait to book another ride with them soon!
