I took a mother's ring in to Kelvin Schroeder's to be resized - from a 9 to a 10. In the process of…read moreresizing my ring, one of the birthstones was broken. Initially, the replaced stone extended below the ring sharply poking into my finger, and the holes on the inside of the ring, where the 4 stones were set, were not uniform. I asked that it be repaired so the stone didn't scrape and irritate my finger. I heard more than once from Kelvin it was costing him so much to make the needed repairs (Keep in mind his goldsmith fractured the stone). Kelvin called me and asked if it was important the stones be in the same order as they were when I initially brought the ring in. I replied yes - they were in my children's birth order. When I picked up the ring, Kelvin had me hastily sign a paper releasing them of any further repair obligation. He was condescending and couldn't get me out the door fast enough. Quality of workmanship was poor - ring is not round as it was before. And, the stones are NOT in the correct order. I'm very disappointed. I will take the ring to another jeweler to have it made right. I will NEVER use Kelvin Schroeder Jeweler for any of my jewelry needs again.

There was someone there already getting a watch battery replaced. So, while waiting, I walked around admiring their clocks and watches. They have quite a selection - great if you need a nice clock for yourself or as a gift. I took some pictures and a short video and posted them for you to see. When it was my turn, he took the watch and went in the back. It didn't take much more than five minutes for him to return with the watch working again! And the price was very reasonable, under $20. Fun store with good service.
