If there's one brand logo that I was familiar with when I was little, it was the key in Collezione. Our wardrobe for Sundays and special occasions back then usually bore the logo. But when I reached my teenage years, I heard less and less about the company as the Philippine market became flooded with new clothing brands, both local and international.
But in recent years, Collezione made a comeback when their polo shirt embroidered with a big map of the Philippine archipelago became a national craze after it became the election outfit of then candidate and now President Noynoy Aquino. Demand for the brand, particularly for that very same design, has once again skyrocketed. I believe that that was also the time when the company set up standalone shops called C2 Collezione.
Nowadays, C2 Collezione, particularly the one in Power Plant Mall, is my go-to shop for gifts to older balikbayan uncles and aunties. They like the t-shirts primarily because they feel connected to the old country whenever they are abroad. But for me, I like buying clothes from this company because of the good quality fabric they use. read more
