We learned about Desert Precision Landscaping by reading David B's yelp review comments as a…read moreprofessional in a similar field. Having moved into a house in Sun City Palm Desert in late September, we realized that the very bare back patio needed some serious attention. We met Hector in October and really liked his approach to drawing up a new look for our garden. All we had were several of the usual boxwoods, caesalpinia, and a lime tree. The new image had to be colorful so we approved the 5 yellow trumpet flower bushes because we love the hummingbirds and pollinators so much. Two additional spots would be occupied by two very generous ocotillos, always a favorite. We needed front and back faucets to be upgraded and a regular maintenance team as the spring season requires. We made a date for work to start in early December due to all of our personal commitments. The initial crew worked to rearrange the rocks in the patio area and set up the plantings. They are hard-working and knowledgeable and we appreciated the changes they made. Scheduling is easy with Hector because he responds to messages quickly and he is flexible and understands the importance of the client's needs. This past week the team arrived to prep the ground in the semi-circle of turf and to rearrange the rocks and clean up. We watched them work so hard from early morning to dusk and the results are pretty wonderful!! Should you decide to engage Hector's team you will be impressed by his obvious enthusiam for producing high quality results.

What really impressed me was that every time I called or texted him, he always replied back in a timely manner. Communication was open and honest. Raul's team was great to work with. Especially Javier (team leader) Javier listened to our ideas, offered options, and made suggestions. He gave us a time frame for which we could expect the different parts to be completed. 10/10 recommend!! Conner is THE BEST…read more We recently bought our property in Yucca Valley, and while we were lucky to inherit some great established vegetation, the outside needed a lot of love. We were dealing with erosion issues along our driveway and side property, an existing irrigation system that needed attention, and generally wanted help bringing the property back to life. Conner was beyond amazing from the start. He spent time walking the property, getting to know all of our existing palms, junipers, and other plants before making recommendations. He sorted out the irrigation system that was already here, made repairs, capped lines where needed, and really took the time to understand the property rather than just coming in and starting from scratch. We gave him a general idea of what we wanted, but also gave him a lot of creative freedom to design and transform the space and we're SO grateful we did. For Phase 1, we focused on redoing the retaining wall and creating stairs from our parking area up to the kitchen door. Conner built an absolutely incredible set of railroad-tie stairs while reinforcing and transforming the retaining wall. It completely opened up that side of the house and changed not only how it looks, but how we actually use and access the property. His crew is also made up of High Desert locals who are incredibly skilled, hardworking, and kind. Conner and the whole crew genuinely cared about the quality of the work they were doing. Conner has an amazing eye, truly cares about his work, and was such a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. We couldn't be happier with how Phase 1 turned out and are excited to see what Phase 2 has in store! If you're looking for someone in the Yucca Valley/Joshua Tree area who understands desert properties, has great creative instincts, and takes real pride in his work - you've found your person!

He brought a mix of creativity, deep plant knowledge, and just an all-around thoughtful approach to the entire project. We didn't have a firm plan going in--just some ideas about what we liked--and he helped shape it into something beautiful and cohesive. He chose an amazing variety of plants for the space: native species, flowering plants, fruit trees, cactuses--everything was selected to thrive in the desert climate and look great together. The result feels intentional, welcoming, and full of personality. Every time we walk through the yard, we notice some new detail and feel lucky to call it ours. Connor is also just a genuinely great guy--easy to communicate with, super kind, and clearly passionate about what he does. We highly recommend him to anyone looking to create a unique, desert-friendly outdoor space.

We are minimalists but with nice tastes, and Micaiah designed our home to just that.
