DO NOT USE COLIN PLUMBING. He was not a person that anyone would want to work with. He charged…read moreus $395 for a new facet and $400 labor to install it along with $150 service call. When I confronted him, he said that this was his emergency rates. It was not an emergency. We had a slow drip under out sink. We did not say it was an emergency. He came during the day yesterday (Tuesday). It felt like highway robbery. When I called him on it, he did not want to talk to me about it and said that he was busy. I could not believe that I paid $995 for a facet. Save yourself and do not call him.

Don't call this scammer! We had a mouse chew the plastic line and created a small leak. I got his…read morename from the Burnett Wisc phone book. I wanted a local plumber and told him I was Siren Wisc. He lied and said his business was in St Croix Falls and said he could come after lunch. I told him it was not an emergency. When he arrived he was in a cast,(a pull on boot cast and on a knee scooter. He was real slow and I had to help him through doors and fetch and carry tools). I had the wall torn apart and the leak was obvious and exposed. The two fittings took him about 10 minutes and that should have been it. But he insisted that the line was loose and I needed to tear out more tongue and groove boards and sheetrock. What a mess and it wasn't at all needed. Then wanted to increase the water pressure, but couldn't fit past the water heater, so I had to go in and do the work of increasing the water pressure and remove the water filter as he watched. While we were cleaning the water filter there was a tiny amount of fine sand in a little catch basin. Oh my God! you have sand in your water pump and he had to come with his big rig and replace the pump tomorrow,(it would cost at least $1000), If not it would be ruined and be really expensive. After he left I called two honest well companies and they both laughed at such an obvious scam. The filter had never been cleaned as long as we had lived there,(15 years), and the sand was just a small bit of rust. I called him and told him not to come and send me a bill. The bill, (from Center city,MN,3 counties away),was for $1000,$250 for emergency call and travel time, and $750 for 3 hours work,(I did all the work and he was only there for two hours). I didn't send him any money and he has been calling and very rude and abusive over the phone. Finally told him I was not paying him anything and report him to the county prosecutor. He should be held accountable for his cheating people. Don't call him , he will charge you a ridiculous amount for creating more problems you didn't have.
