I've been visiting this dental practice for years, but for lack of another NHS dentist…read moreunfortunately I am stuck there. It is a small practice, near the A38, with a handful of dentists. As a result, it is always busy, with a bustling reception. The receptionists are friendly enough, although there always seems to be some delay with appointments, so if you're booked in for 15:30, expect to be seen around 15:45. The dentist checks your teeth with the usual counting, along with a nurse. However, problem is, it seems like the dentists, once every 5 years gives you a scale and polish on your teeth (when most other practices do it every time you visit, especially when I can see the tartar building up, funny they don't!) Also, having had breached wisdom teeth for 4 years now, and pointing it out on several occassions, the dentist seems reluctant or bothered to do anything. Just the usual "see you next year" along with the £20 fee, which is pretty expensive for an NHS dentist! Friends and family have had the same problem there, and if you're in pain, getting an emergency appointment isn't easy. So until I find something else, I'm stuck... Sigh Can anyone recommend me a good dentist in Bristol that still accepts NHS patients?

I switched to Millenium a few months ago and I have to say they're without any doubt the best…read moredentists I've ever visited. The surgery is cosy and welcoming and the staff are, without exception, courteous and friendly. I've been terrified of dentists all my life but Dr Skvarka and Dr Strapec have changed my mind...I would (and do) recommend them to everyone (and my previous dentist was a suitably expensive Redland-based dentist who missed problems with my teeth and had an appalling chair-side manner).

The receptionists were great and gave him a pencil and paper to distract him whilst we were waiting. The dentist was equally as lovely with him. He was really patient and didn't seem at all bothered that louie was putting up a fight to let him see his teeth. I came away really impressed with the place. Definitely our new family dentist.

The Dentist Dr Whyte is both highly professional, and reassuring. I have now had a few treatments including fillings, and have not had any pain at all, nor has it been stressful. Dr Whyte also took time to talk over the options with me, rather than rushing me in and out. Would not hesitate to recommend Beau Monde to young and old.
