I've been using Hanlon & Gardner for a number of years and I, too, have found staff very polite - but their charges...........wow! I had an 'enhanced inspection' which lasted less than 2 minutes, followed by a session with the hygienist lasting about 10 minutes. Total cost? £69, or, if you like £345/hr. Er, no thank you. It was then I decided to take my business to the NHS. The service is just as good but the charges are about a third of H & G. When I wrote a courteous letter informing H & G that I no longer required their services they didn't have the decency to reply or even ask me why I was leaving, despite having spent hundreds of pounds over the previous 10 years. In Chippenham, there are many dentists who levy very similar charges, and I have serious doubts whether there is a true market in dental services in this town. read more
