Getting health insurance for my mom through Covered California has been a nightmare fiasco due to severe computer problems between Covered California and the Yolo County health care auditing system. They keep dropping my mom due to dumb glitch that keeps getting fixed and then UNfixed by the stupid auditing system. Mary figured this out and has spent COUNTLESS hours on the phone with Covered California and Kaiser on our behalf. She is the very definition of above-and-beyond. Is there any way i can nominate her for a Nobel Prize or something? Thank you Mary; you are one in a billion!!

After nearly 2.5 months of radio silence from them, waiting on a policy after an initial consultation after speaking with their head of small businesses, I contacted them to see where we were in the process. It took a week after this to respond and they still had not secured a policy. During this time I found another insurance agent, John Bradford in Sacramento, who found our business a policy in one week. One week! Our business did not seem to be a priority for Purves which is a shame as I also use them for car insurance and those agents have been great.

My phone and wallet were locked inside my vehicle. The gas station attendant was less than helpful or understanding and would not allow me to use the business phone. A few nice folks allowed me to call Farmers on their phones but, the 30 minute ETA I was given for the tow had come and gone several times over. I was hot, tired, hungry, and frustrated; both with myself and the call taker who misunderstood my location and who could not grasp that I could NOT access my phone to answer when the driver was looking for me (I later learned from a different state altogether ). A customer allowed me to use his phone and I ended up calling a local agent. I am quite certain Mr. Mann was about to walk out of his office for the day. Not only did he calmly listen to my frantic self but was at my location within 5 minutes with a plan. He contacted Farmers and I was back on the road shortly. If this is how he treats clients that are not even his own, I can only imagine the lengths he will go to for those who are. Thank you, sir!

Well, it's State Farm so you know you're getting top tier service…read more I started out working with Steve, and I guess he's no longer working there last I called. The times I did work with him, he was quick to respond or call back and always did what I needed to be done. Initial sign up was easy as I already knew the coverage I wanted, but we had trouble matching my rate I had under my parents since they've been with State Farm forever. Steve worked with me to get me the loyal customer discount by calling my parents' agent, and voila, in like Flynn. Steve also mentioned that renter's insurance would discount itself and more off of the car insurance...so that was a no brainer and I appreciate him mentioning that; I still carry the renter's insurance so it's nice to have that in place and not have to purchase it separately when an apartment requires it. I let him know the VIN they had on file was incorrect and 5 mins later, he corrected it and let me know. I wanted to get the front of my car resprayed due to minor rock chips, and he even pointed me to the top rated shop in the area but warned me that using comp coverage would raise my rates as it wasn't accident related and I was better off paying out of pocket or just living with it...so I left it alone. I always get my new cards well in advance before the previous ones expire, and it has really just been hassle free for the 2.5 years I've had SF insurance, even without Steve. From past experiences with SF, I know they'll cover me and do whatever they can to help me out should I get into an accident or bind. You really do get what you pay for when it comes to insurance, so there's a reason you pay a premium with State Farm and I can attest to the justification. Now if only I could get my rates lowered...=]

They keep me informed when wrinkles come up on mom and dad's insurance. They were super helpful getting renters insurance in place when mom and dad went into skilled care. And were also great about anticipating issues such what would happen to mom and dads umbrella liability policy when they gave up their car. By them anticipating the issues, that gave us time to ease mom and dad into a new reality. Great to have such a caring team and Good Neighbor to mom and dad.

After 20 plus yrs as Farmers clients we had an auto collision claim, the individual that rear ended…read moreme was also a Farmers client. From the onset Farmers has been taking care of Farmers. What appears at this point to be a simple collision has taken 3 months to manage & it is still not done. At the insistence of Farmers I took countless pictures & uploaded them on their app, I spent countless hours chasing the claims staff down & was lied to repeatedly on the status (the second claims adjuster admitted I was lied to). They do not care about the consumer on bit. The other party that rear ended me refused to cooperate so Farmers made it my problem. After finally agreeing to have the vehicle repaired I was told all the time & effort I had dedicated to upload the pictures was a waste of time & I had to spend 1/2 a day at home waiting for a Farmers claims adjuster to duplicate all my efforts. He laughed when he arrived at my home & said "yes it is duplication of work", "not sure why you were told to use the app" and then he came to the same conclusion as my original estimate. We are now 3 months into this hell & I was finally given permission to have the vehicle repaired & was told to pick up my rental vehicle at Enterprise Rent-A-Car which turned into another disaster. We own a high end SUV & they rented the smallest vehicle in the Enterprise Rent-A-Car fleet. Run do not walk away from Farmers, they will gladly take your money but when you need them they won't be there for you.
