My toilet has been clogged since Saturday and believe it or not, A+ Plumbing were the first plumbers to even want to come out and check the clog. We are new to the area so I went to the Yellow Pages for info, since there were hardly any reviewed plumbers. I started on the first page and started calling for estimates. See all those BIG fancy ads on the plumbers page? I called four of the biggest and not one came out. The first one said "Call me back and leave your info, I'll be by this afternoon." Nothing, he never came, he never called. I had one of the biggest shops give me advice on how to unclog the toilet MYSELF!! Oh Lordy!! Finally, I took a chance and called one of the plumbers with the small ad on the second page of shops. Bingo!!! I talked to Dave the owner who said his coworker Mark, would be out shortly. AND HE WAS THERE WITHIN THE HOUR. Eventually, Dave had to come out and work on the access pipe outside the house and within 3hrs of my phone call, my problem had been solved!! A+ was incredibly professional, timely, neat, honest and fairly priced. I would never hesitate to call them again. 5 stars!!!

Thank you Chase, Kael, and Dustin!!! These guys were very helpful, courteous, and nice, and got the job done in one day!, not only were they good at their jobs, but the bill was less than we had expected, and that was great news, as we are retired and on a strict budget,! That made our day!! If we ever need your services again, you will be the first ones we call. Thanks again Mr and Mrs J T White

It was brought to my attention there were spliced wires and water was dumping on the dirt in my crawl space. I called them and told them the installation was not done correctly. They had technicians come the next morning, they repaired the spliced wires, connected the drain for the water softener. When they were done they gave me a bill for $193 which I asked the techs why I was responsible for that. I called their company, got VoiceMail telling them how dissatisfied I was in the original installation. When I went to pay, the owner said his guys didn't do the electrical but he'd research and call me back. I corrected him stating H&C had done it all. He called me and said they'd take $100 off my bill. I went back and settled up with them. I was/am a dissatisfied customer. I feel I should not have been billed for anything because this was never installed correctly. Very expensive and always sends two technicians.

Buford Mechanical Plumbing

Another plumbing company has been my go to for plumbing needs since I bought a house in Springfield…read more6 months ago. I continued to use them because I was happy with their services but then last weeks EPIC snowstorm hit bursting pipes all over town, and unfortunately the sewage pipe in my house was one of them. My other company was booked out for several weeks with no available eta but said they would call me if something became available. So I started calling around and came upon Bufords number on Yelp. They said like all of the other plumbers in town they were booked out but would have the owner swing by ASAP to assess the situation as if it an easy fix they would try to handle it if time permitted. Josh came out and went over the situation. He came by the next day and evaluated the burst pipe and clogged sewage line without charging me for anything. Unfortunately it was not going to be an easy fix, so he couldn't do it that day but said he would try to schedule me the following week. He suggested calling my other plumbing company back and telling them exactly what the problem was he had diagnosed to see if it would help them be able to schedule me sooner as knowing exactly what the problem was tells them how long it would take them to do the job, and he said he had worked with the other company before and highly recommended them if they could do the work before he could. My other company was able to schedule me a few days later with this knowledge and fixed the issues, but before I could call Buford back to tell them the issue was fixed they called me first to ask if I had resolved the problem and said that they would squeeze me in this week if it hadn't been resolved. So while they didn't actually fix the burst pipe they did drop everything to get out here and diagnose it for free, advised me I was using another great company if they could do the work before they could, and then followed up to make sure it was handled or schedule me in. This following a storm when literally hundreds of houses and business had broken pipes throughout town and they were not lacking for business by any means. Great service and follow through, honest business practices and integrity throughout. I still have my other company which I use, but Buford is now on my saved contacts as my backup should the need ever arise. If you don't have a plumbing company give Buford the business as they will work for it. Thanks guys!

Excellent Water Heater Replacement Experience…read more I couldn't be happier with my experience with KC Water Heaters. They replaced my water heater and did an excellent job from start to finish. The entire process was organized and professional. They communicated clearly, arrived on time, and took the time to ensure the installation was done properly. The workmanship was excellent, and they left everything clean and in great shape.

So glad to have 'Yelp' and 'Google' for business reviews. Found 'KC Water Heaters' on Yelp with…read more5-star ratings. Contacted the owner (Chase) on Christmas Eve(Sunday) after discovering no hot water and unable to light the pilot. Chase stated he would be here 9:00am Tuesday morning. After performing reviews on our current Whirlpool water heater, could not find a positive review for the unit, so decided no matter what the problem, would have a new one installed. Contacted Chase again to let him know to bring a new unit. Chase arrived on time and right off could tell he was very personable, professional and respectful of property. After going over the Whirlpool unit, he agreed it was time to install a new one. What gave me full confidence is his knowledge of the water heater unit operations, venting, chimney importance(flue through chimney) and root cause of the rust(and how to prevent it in the future) which had accumulated on top of the unit. Another factor was the expansion unit which was totally rusted, preventing water from entering. The goal of Chase's satisfaction was to make sure we were totally satisfied with the install, all questions answered and stepped us through the new unit controls, etc. He uses 'Bradford White' water heaters which are highly rated. Chase is a perfectionist, making sure the unit is level, good drainage and secured a couple copper lines which had broken away from the rafter. I will recommend 'KC Water Heaters' to anyone knowing Chase is the template by which all business owners should follow in 'outstanding' customer service. UPDATE: Last month(12/2025), noticed some water dripping from the overflow valve. Contacted Chase to explain the issue. He came out the next day in the morning and replaced the valve at no cost. After checking the main house water pressure, it was right at 80 which is considered high that may have contributed to the leaky valve. Chase reduced the pressure and everything is working fine. Even after two years, KC Water Heaters provides exceptional customer service.

Every business is required to post state and federal rules for hourly rate employees. There are none posted anywhere. The owner Joe makes up rules in order to suite his company's unwritten rules and policies. They are very disorganized. And their communications lack professional standards. Most of the employees are from AB May Plumbing. There is little regard for OSHA work place safety standards, pulling permits, following uniform code standards. Just get the job done, collect the money and get out of there. They are really good at being fake with people and will tell you everything you want to hear just to get a customer to sign on the dotted line. I spent an entire day waiting for a ladder tall enough to reach a certain height at a customers home. What happened was placing a ladder on top of saw houses. A water line was placed next to an electric outlet. By code that outlet needed a GFCI protection. Joe played dumb when I told him. I did how ever informed that customer. If this is how they treat their employees. They certainly rip off their customers with very high labor and materials with a huge mark up of 100 to 200 % if not more. To support their other endeavors such as raising cattle and pigs. Harley Davidson motor cycles. He may say I'm a disgruntled employee. Let me tell you. I owed and operated my own plumbing company. I have many years of experience, many certifications, continue education courses. I caught him in lies and fabricated stories. He even made up some story I never said in order to flip the script or defect the attention off him and back on me. I had to get the Holden police involved to get my tools back. He told the police lies that I was threatening him and other employees. I only threatened him with the department of labor state and federal level, Code enforcement rules and regulations, and OSHA work place safety standards. All I wanted was my tools and Todd, His other employee, and him would not make arrangements to get me my tools so I could do the job I was hired for. The BNI ( Business Networking Group) was way more important than me getting my tools back so I could do my job. Joe's management skills are definitely something less than " Professional" his only goal is his wallet. I have so much experience and education. I had a job that same day he fired me. A word to the wise. Check your contractor out. Make sure they are authorized to work in your County jurisdiction with a business license in each country Pickle Plumbing operates. Make sure you inform code enforcement in your county. Code enforcement is there to protect you the customer and to make sure the job is done right.

I wanted to start out with something small to see what kind of work he did as we've had pretty awful luck with other local handymen. He was able to work us into his schedule very quickly, arrived exactly at the time he said he would and did a wonderful job. In fact, I'll go so far as to say he did a perfect job. He was friendly, but didn't waste time chit chatting, went straight to work and had completed the job AND cleaned up his mess very quickly. He offered a very reasonable fee for the job I needed done and stuck to that fee even after I added a small thing I'd forgotten to mention when I initially contacted him. I will absolutely call upon him again for future needs, am thrilled that he has such versatile skills and will recommend him with no hesitation whatsoever, something I rarely do. I am remodeling and renovating a property in the Warsaw area and have been thru a series of local repairmen and handypersons who have repeatedly ripped us off, had horrible work ethic and/or accepted work far beyond their capability and then had to hire someone else to fix what they "fixed" and made worse.
