Requested quotes from 3 different plumbing companies, and asked them all to wear masks since we have a baby. Dennis arrived wearing a mask, which I truly appreciated! I know this is a controversial topic these days, but him doing that for us showed he already cared. Dennis seemed knowledgable and made a recommendation on water heater size/type based on our space. Big Al's wasn't the most expensive quote, but it also wasn't the cheapest. The price seemed reasonable and fair. When installation day arrived, two gentleman arrived on time but without masks. My husband offered them disposable ones, which they wore, very much appreciated that. They replaced the water heater in a timely manner, and it works great! We weren't in the room during installation, so only noticed later that there was a scratch on the front of the bifold closet door that either happened pulling out the old one or installing the new one. Wish it could have been avoided by removing the closet door, but hadn't realized the amount of space would be an issue. I emailed Dennis with a photo and he was on top of it right away! He sent out his guys to take a look and see how they could repair/paint it. Since the door is wood-grain textured, and the scratch went below the surface, Dennis arranged for a local carpenter to fix it. He went above and beyond! I figured he would just give us some kind of refund for us to fix it ourselves. But as a new mom, with a husband working long hours, and also being very new to the area, that would have meant more work for us so I genuinely appreciated him offering an expert to repair it. The best I could have done would have been to throw some paint on it, and who knows when I would have gotten around to doing that. Dennis connected me with Randall with B&B Services of WNC, who makes absolutely gorgeous furniture in the area. He picked up, repaired the door in his workshop, and returned it back to us. I can't even tell there had been a scratch there! He did a great job. I recommend Big Al's because the plumbing work was great and reasonably priced. Dennis was honest, extremely responsive, and wanted to make sure we were happy. As long as Dennis is the owner, I'd hire this company again if/when any plumbing in our house decides to break!

After my review, the company claimed they hadn't installed our unit, which isn't accurate -- they did the installation.
