A short while later I got a call telling me C&L Towing had arrived, and already found my car on the parking lot without me needing to even show it. After her car accident they essentially held her car hostage , racking up unnecessary fees claiming they needed "paperwork" from the insurance company . No sooner did they get what they asked for - they changed their demands and said they needed more- refusing to release the vehicle. Even the insurance company was stunned at the obvious attempt to extract extra fees by creating unnecessary paperwork. And not from lack of contact. They were contacted every day from the day the car was towed there. I have no problem with a company trying to be compensated for their work provided. But this poor excuse for a business is milking it and in the process leaving an elderly (86) woman anxious, frustrated and without transportation. It's TAKING ADVANTAGE of the elderly and that's a CRIME. They must have a contract with the city of Avon because it's their police dept that called for the tow after her accident. The desk help is a miserable human. Just a nasty personality. I don't know who pees in her cornflakes every morning but as the face of the business- she's awful. Next stop is the better business bureau and the Avon police dept - they will get a full report on their shady business practices. Avoid this place like the plague ! read more

I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience with C&L Towing, specifically with a driver named Corey. We had arranged for my stepson's car to be dropped off at our home and requested in advance that the driver wait at the top of the street before pulling into our driveway, so we could move other vehicles and avoid being blocked in. Unfortunately, Corey disregarded that request and sped away from the pickup location without waiting. When he arrived at the house and began backing into the driveway, I ran outside and attempted to flag him down to stop and let us move the cars first. Despite my efforts, he ignored me. I had to shout over the noise of the truck for him to roll down the window so I could explain the situation. Rather than listening or responding with any professionalism, Corey rudely pulled out of the driveway and threatened to drop the car in the middle of the street. When the car blocking the driveway was moved, Corey began backing in again but insisted on dropping the car in the middle of the driveway--completely blocking access to the garage. When I asked if he could drop it further back, he replied with a dismissive and rude comment: "It's going to go where it's going to go." Throughout the exchange, Corey accused me of yelling at him, to which I calmly explained that I had raised my voice only so I could be heard over the engine noise and closed windows. Despite that, he continued to be disrespectful, repeatedly telling me to "just go inside" and "leave," even though this was my home. His tone and behavior were completely inappropriate and unprofessional. Even more concerning was the presence of his very young daughter in the truck. She began shouting profanities from the cab--adding to an already tense and inappropriate situation. It was deeply unsettling to be treated this way in front of family, including my father and father-in-law, who eventually had to step in due to the escalating disrespect. As a professional, educated Black woman, I found Corey's behavior not only rude but also dismissive and offensive. He should not be in any customer-facing role, and this experience reflects very poorly on C&L Towing. I would not recommend this company to anyone and sincerely hope they reconsider the standards and training of those representing their business. read more

Horrible to deal with. Had our brand new company car towed through Nissan roadside. Apparently Nissan uses AAA. So C & L calls me says they're standing next to the car and asking where the driver is because they need the AAA id card to tow it. I said there isn't one because I didn't call AAA. After going back and forth they said fine, they would tow it. 4 days later I call the Nissan dealer to get an update on the car and turns out the car never got towed. I call Nissan roadside who calls AAA who says the tow was canceled because they "couldn't find the car" even though nobody ever contacted me that the car wasn't towed. So now I just sent one of our employees 2 hours away to see if the car is even still there. And get it towed again. This time hopefully they won't use C&L read more

Ryan was so great. My car broke down on the side of the highway around midnight. I was a bit upset and nervous and Ryan took care of everything so quickly and towed me back home. He was so professional, kind, and got to me so quickly. This was by far the best experience I've had when dealing with car issues. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! This review is long overdue but about a month ago I was in the Stoughton area during a snowstorm trying to go up a hill in my mustang. I was stuck and blocking traffic. Nick was driving the opposite direction in his tow truck, pulled over, and pushed me while my car attempted to climb the icy hill. Dude saved me and I am forever grateful. Thanks man! My most recent experience with this company was really disappointing. My car broke down and could not be driven. I have a service contract and they set up a tow with C & L. The driver arrived and didn't notify me - I was looking out for him and when he attached the car to the truck, he was unfriendly and barely acknowledged us. The car was transported to the dealership for repairs (about 5 miles). When the repairs were completed, we noticed the hood was no longer fitting correctly. The service people at the dealership explained that the repair was done from below with the car up on the rack so they had no need to open the hood. The only conclusion was that the tow attachment had caused this damage. I emailed C & L but they never responded - no email or call. Now it is worse, and the hood won't stay properly closed. Car is back at the dealer for a fix to the catch which I'm sure I'll be charged for. This is really frustrating, as I once needed their services before several years ago and they were both prompt and helpful. I expected the same but it didn't happen that way. read more

Can I give zero stars? This company is unprofessional, RACIST and rude! They towed my husbands car and destroyed it. No idea why they felt the need to open the car but they broke in and caused damage. When confronted they address my husband as "muchacho" when he isn't even Spanish because he has an accent and isn't white like them. They treated him like he was stupid and said they will laugh in his face. They claimed they opened through the passenger side which is NOT true considering they caused damage on an Acura that was never there prior. If this was my car I wouldn't have paid them $1 for their shitty towing and would have been reported for harassment and a hate crime for racial slurs, so they are lucky my husband believed they weren't worth the stress. "Mike" in particular was extremely unprofessional being ignorant to the point his co worker had to tell him to calm down and stop. When told I'll let people know the kind of business this is he wanted my husbands business card to slander his company because he was in work gear, although my husband never painted their shithole business. I won't be quiet about this one I promise *** and to the employee who replied to this, a car being parked so called "illegally" does not justify all that was mentioned and that occurred in this comment. Most unprofessional tow company I've ever worked with. As we speak right now I'm sitting at a gas station because my brakes went out while driving. Called AAA to come pick up my truck. It's a lifted f-250, which I've had towed before multiple times (Ford). This kid walked up to me first thing he said was I can't tow your truck because AAA doesn't cover any vehicle that's stamped GW of over 10,000lbs. So I tell him I've been towed before through AAA and my VIN stamp on my door says I'm at 10,000lbs *not over*. Long story short this kid is telling me he can tow my truck, but he wants $125 cash slipped under the table and hook him up or else he's gonna have to tell his boss my trucks oversized and have to pay 250. So I called AAA again and now they tell me since the card holder is now longer with the vehicle (because she's an oncall nurse who was called in for an emergency) she had to take an uber from where I parked to get towed. That because she's no longer here AAA can't tow my vehicle. So now home boy tow truck driver is chillin parked next to me smokin weed (you serious?) Couldnt make this up if I tried. Stay away from this company. You don't want that kind of service and they don't deserve your money. Update towards Company owners response: You can't reach your way out of a creating your scummy business etiquettes slick. And to answer your question, NO bossman. I own an F-250 like i previously said, which btw has been towed previous times, which AAA had helped me each and every-time. She left her ID with me and we called AAA telling them she had to leave because she had to get to work because of an emergency. Everything was kosher until your scumbag degenerate tried to bribe me to tow my obvious perfectly towable vehicle. Great service, I called on a weekday in the morning and got a tow truck in an hour. The driver was really nice and informative, I had some questions and they were all answered. They do a great job no complaints what so ever. I think it's a reasonable price also. I had to tow my car just a couple towns over and it was about $150 which I don't think was bad at all but of course it depends on what type of car you have and where it's going. The roadside assistance assigned C&L towing to give me a jump start. When I called to see when the driver would be coming. Charlie at C&L towing was rude and use profanity when talking with me and would provide any help. Lucky I also have AAA I called AAA they were able to provide a jump start and test on the battery and get me on my way in 20 minutes from when I called. A completely unprofessional company. AAA sent them over to jump my battery: the guy refused to wear a mask while working with my car. I asked him to please wear a mask and he said he legally didn't have to because he has asthma: when I asked him to do so because a family member is immunocompromised, he refused, saying if he did he was going to sweat a lot (it was 65 degrees outside and chilly). I asked him to leave and he did -- good -- but he cleared my problem with AAA. My son and daughter in law were broken down on Rt. 24, they have towing service from Geico insurance, who called C&L, after a 80 minute wait, they called to see what was the problem. Man from C&L said, we looked for you on "Central St." and gave up on the tow.
