I was able to get the tire inflated thanks to the valet crew so I could get home but desperate to get the tire fixed before I had to shuttle my client around all day and evening. I found Montrose Mobile Tire here and was so impressed by the number of 5-star reviews. Made an easy online appointment for early the next morning and Oscar showed up on time and had my tire permanently patched in 15 minutes. He was so professional and helpful and I was on my way on time to pick up my client. There was a second part to the story, however. The tire started going flat within a couple of days. Normally this would lead to a negative review but I reached out to Oscar and explained the situation. I was able to get an immediate appointment and he discovered that he had had 1-2 other incidents where the patch had still resulted in a leak on this particular tire and it also could have been a faulty patch. Either way, he triple checked my tire for any other causes for the leak and installed a new patch and tested it, leveled the air pressure in all my other tires and said to call him if there are any other issues with it. While it took two trips, I appreciated the quick response, the dedication to making things right and his willingness to address any issue if one occurred again with the tire.

As my car sat along the street, a mobile trailer came within 30 minutes of my call and they were able to access my tire situation extremely quickly. It was revealed that my stock tires were not regular ones that come on most cars and that due to the inner foam that the tires have, it would not be as simple as just pumping them up and patching them. The service felt genuine, if not a little rushed, but it was really interesting to watch them in action. They noted that they also sell tires if a total replacement is needed but in my case, it was a quick patch. They were very thorough in helping me understand the process, even going as far as to tell me what I can do in the future if I ever come across something like a nail through my foam-laced tires. (#1) They were also very good about helping me understand how to approach a tire problem at a tire store if I ever decided to go that route. The bottom line was that they were willing to work with my budget and offer me something affordable, quick, and ultimately, painless. Oscar was the man running the show, but was guiding Luis (?) while repairing another vehicle. The total came out to be $95 for my emergency and they were timely, communicative, and even provided an on-the-spot PDF in my email. They handled everything as requested: the damaged tire in my trunk was disposed of, and the good tire that was replaced was bagged and placed in my trunk along with my spare. I was already scheduled to take the truck to the dealership on Monday for an oil change, but instead of adding it to the list for the dealership, I entrusted the 610 team to do the job! Fast forward to Monday, oil change went well but the dealership informed me I needed a new ball joint?!?! You can imagine my surprise. I reached out to 610 but initially I told the dealership to proceed. Thankfully, they needed a specific wheel lock in order to remove the tires. That delay allowed me more time for processing all the details. I took an uber to 610 to retrieve the specific wheel lock. They gladly gave me several locks (they weren't quite sure which one was needed). That, to me, is another example of how they're willing to go over and beyond the call of duty. They even gifted me with a wheel lock once the correct lock was identified. The more I examined the imagines sent by the dealership, the more I noticed the pics only showed excessive lube around the joints. Thankfully, bringing the key to them, delayed the process of them conducting the work and allowed me the opportunity to witness for myself the tires being secure and having NO play/free movement. Needless to say, the dealerships assessment was incorrect. The mechanic was very apologetic in his error. New ball joint replacement was NOT needed. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER !!…read more I went to Discount Tires to replace all new tires and was informed that one of my rim was bent/ warped. Told me that I should either get new rims or get it fixed bc it will wear out the new tire unevenly. So I found "Houston Wheel Repair " shop. I spoke to Tracy and I expressed my concerns about my rim. She feels certain they can fix it for me with their 25-30 years of experience with rim repairs. I felt confident to set appointment for Friday at 10:15am. Jimmy was the guy who took my info and what my concerns were.( I told him what Discount Tires told me) He wrote the order and asked if I wanted same day service. I said yes. He wrote $150 + $35(Same day service)asked me to put my initial. I agreed to the price for repair bent/warped and cosmetic of the front surface of the rim. Jimmy said will take 3 to 3 1/2 hours. (I left at 10:30am, should be ready by 1-2pm) I called them at 2:30 to see if it's ready for pick up. Sandra said will call me back. (Never did!!) I know they were pretty busy so waited til 5:30pm and was told the same thing. My husband and I decided to just drive there to see. When we got there they said it was ready. We paid and today Saturday , went back to Discount Tire to have them rebalance it and check to see if the bent was fix. Discount Tire said it's still bent/warped. Nothing done. They even let me take a video for me to show them. So I drove straight back to the shop to have them fix the problem. Sandra told me to talk to Jimmy since he was the person that took my order. Jimmy told one of the mechanic to inspect the rim and came back and said there's a bent on the rim. I asked jimmy, you told me yesterday you guys fixed it and all he said was we will fix the bent. I waited there for several hrs and finally came to me and said u are ready to go. I went to look at the rim and it was all scratched up. I asked Jimmy, aren't u going to fix the scratch marks on the rim. He said you came to fix the bent and we fixed it!! If you want the scratch fixed then you need to pay extra!! I was speechless. I told myself FORGET IT as long as the bent was fixed. ( I didn't want to deal with the rudeness and their dishonesty anymore). I left their shop by 4:30pm and drove back to Discount Tire to have them check it and balance for me AGAIN. When the tech told me that the rim was still bent and showed it to me.... I just broke down and cried. I couldn't believe I was deceived by their poor workmanship and lack of integrity behind their quality work!! I paid $200+7.26=$207.26 ( I had to pay extra for using credit card. I wasted my money and time for not having the issue resolved and the rim worst condition then we started.
