We were 2.5 states away from home and didn't know what we were going to do! Monday morning we were turned away from 3 local shops, but eventually someone referred us to Mel and Kim at Trans Works. We called, and Kim graciously told us to come in and Mel would look and see if he could help us. Bad news, good news. Our transmission was shot, but he changed the filter and fluid in an attempt to get us back on the road--and at least a little closer to home and the shop I work for, for repairs! With a little babying and prayer, WE MADE IT ALL THE WAY HOME! I surely would have had them do the job if circumstances were different, but I wanted to avoid a return trip if possible. I just want to say thank you to both of them for their generosity, their honesty, and their kindness to complete strangers. What an amazing shop; and one that others should model themselves after! We appreciate you more than you know.

It just never shifted right after the transmission was replaced. I thought it was a fluke. Shame on me! The second one was not even needed. I found out later at a different repair shop that the fix was a $100 fix, not a $5,000 fix. And Don's Repair was HORRIBLE to deal with. The price they gave me on the phone was $500 less than what they charged me. Of course they said there were extra costs once they got into the process. In the end, it would have been cheaper to have the dealer replace my transmission (but I didn't even need a replacement). Total fraud. DO NOT GO HERE.
