Best bite of the nite! Cassis Caramel Corn Caramel Corn Mousse, Cassis Crémeux, Rioja-compressed Apples
    Bill S.

Pleasantly surprised by Cítricos last week! We've stayed at the Grand Floridian and dined at Victoria & Alberts as well as Narcoossee's. I guess Cítricos is the forgotten middle child? Well this restaurant IMHO is a hidden gem. We had a late flight from New York, we checked into our hotel, freshened up and walked in Cítricos. The open kitchen layout is appealing, I can see this is a lively restaurant and the staff was very attentive. I have to start this review with the best bite of the night: The Cassis Caramel Corn Caramel Corn Mousse, Cassis Crémeux, Rioja-compressed Apples was deelish!! My wife said she would never order this dish but the first bite had us swooning. Even the menu was not something we would typically gravatate towards. My wife ordered the Togarashi-spiced Cobia, anything with the word spice in the title is throwing her. Our waiter explained its not too spicy and its more flavorful. I ordered the Crispy Garlic-crusted Domestic Fish. Again, out of my comfort zone, I don't want to have garlic breath for days. The waiter said this is not the case, its more about the flavor. He was correct, my wifes Togarashi-spiced Cobia that was over a Seaweed Rice Cake and a Cashew Purée had a certain elegance to the dish. It was very flavorful and a wonderful choice. I liked my Crispy Garlic-crusted Domestic Fish dish but my wife wasn't about to swap plates. I was walking around the restaurant and just observing (It's what I do) and I noticed Mary Poppins Pocketbook in the corner? As I looked inside the room, there was also a special table, it looked like a private chefs tasting table? How awesome is that? Cítricos, very impressed with our meal. I hope this menu changes seasonally, I would like to return the next time I stay in the Grand Floridian.

Lovely experience from start to finish. The room is upscale with a subtle Mary Poppins theming, but very adult. It's sophisticated, but the open kitchen gives it a bit of movement without being too assertive. I wanted a lighter appetizer, and the house salad filled the bill, with crisp greens, a good saltiness from the cheese, and just the right tartness from a pomegranate vinaigrette. My entree was the Malbec-guava barbecued short rib, and it was the best dish I had on my entire Disney trip. Absolutely scrumptious and rich without being too heavy because of the perfect portion size. Service was polished and charming, as you would expect. If you can't get in at Narcoossee's (grr), don't be sad if this is a second choice.

Looking for a fine dining experience without an over the top hype with great Disney service? This is the place. Cítricos is such a hidden gem with the vibe and essence of Disney. The setting is very fine dining, comfortable and relaxing. The food was just superb and delicious! What is it all about? The service! Our server, Tess, was just a doll and amazing! We felt like we were at the part having amazing Magic Kingdom service! The menu is quite simple and filled with great options. Yes, the price is expensive but quality food, punch of favors and great service, it's totally worth it! I even love how the manager came by to say hi and check on us. The drinks - phenomenal and perfectly made. Honestly, what a great evening and dinner I had. I think it definitely is better than Cinderella's Royal Table.

Delicious meal and fantastic service! Key West Shrimp and Octopus appetizer was amazing! Fresh and layered with so many unique and refreshing flavors on a warm corn cake. The Filet Mignon was perfectly cooked, pink center and puréed mashed potatoes whipped to the lightest texture almost like polenta. The Macchiato dessert I almost didn't have room for was amazing. Layered with Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur Coffee Cremeux, Espresso Veil, Coffee Sponge, Mascarpone Ice Cream, Warm Morita Chile Chocolate. So good! Tess the server was so warm and friendly and was on top of everything the entire night.

One of my favorite meals at Disney. Citricos definitely has my heart. The decor is gorgeous, dark hues yet still light filled at the same time. I actually chose this restaurant for its decor when I was deciding on a dinner at the Grand Floridian and it did not disappoint. For drinks I liked the cucumber martini more than the passionfruit margarita. The passionfruit margarita was too sweet for me so I'd skip next time. There is bread, a cheddar brioche and sourdough both baked in house. They were divine and the kids loved it as well. My husband and I split the American Waygu and it was delicious. The kids got a cheese and pepperoni pizza. The pizza was ok, but not great (if you want a fantastic kids cheese pizza check out Summer House at Disney springs). My son wasn't a fan of the thick cut fries but liked the berries. My other son ate his broccoli and only picked at his sundae. Next time we should split a kids meal for them. Service was great. I felt like we were well taken care of. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I see why it's Michelin recommended.

A very nice place in a very nice ambience.. a place to visit Ava spend some time in the surrounding. The restaurant, an upscaled designed with a very customer oriented approach ( Disney way). Javier or server and now our friend... did an excellent job taking care of us from A to Z ... The food was fantastic good selection of options not overwhelming menu.. steak, fish, beef, duck even octopus is present in the menu.. fantastic flavors... including the dessert. Good place to explore

$12 Guava Cheese Fusion - Phenomenal

I came here twice within two weeks and took my mom here for Mother's Day since the food was so freaking good. Also, order the espresso martini! Once again, order the espresso martini!! This is finally a restaurant at a Disney hotel where the food is top notch, and not overpriced. The $16.50 espresso martini is as good as The Boathouse and Wine Bar George at Disney Springs. Those two have been the gold standard for so long, and now Citricos has joined the group. I love the blackened espresso taste, no baileys, foam on top, and the 3 beans. It's perfect. For an appetizer I had the $18 Southern-style Fried Hen. It was very good. Not a huge portion. I ate all of it in about 5 seconds. I've had the $54 Short Ribs twice and both time the food came out perfect. This is a top tier item that you can get at any Disney hotel or around Orlando. For desserts I've tried the $14.50 Macchiato. It's very good, but you must really like chocolate. However, the real star of the show for desserts is the $12 Guava Cheese Fusion. An absolute must order. Yum! It's only about a 12 minute walk from the entrance of Disney World. Or you can take the monorail or the boat. It's the last stop on the monorail to get here, or the first back to Magic Kingdom if you take it home. I have many more trips here in my future.

Key West Pink Shrimp and Octopus in Huancaína

Whether your staying at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa or looking for a fine dining restaurant serving delicious food, I highly recommend making reservations to Citricos. Citricos has become one of my top favorite fine dining restaurants at Disney World. The ambiance is beautiful and soothing and I love that it's inspired by Mary Poppins. Not only is the ambiance and food worth a visit but the service is spectacular as well. Our server Claudia was absolute amazing! She was great with my kids and very attentive and personable. She went out of her way to make our dining experience one to remember. For the first course we ordered the Key West Pink Shrimp and Octopus in Huancaina, the Yuzu- Soy Roasted Duck Breast and the 1 oz. Royal Osetra Caviar. The Key West Pink Shrimp and Octopus in Huancaina is a great starter if you are looking for a light and fresh appetizer. The Yuzu- Soy Roasted Duck Breast is another great option and I love that it's presented in two ways. The dumplings were so flavorful and the duck breast was cooked perfectly and fork tender. Anytime I see caviar on the menu I have to order it. I ordered the Royal Osetra Caviar and enjoyed every bite, especially with all the great accompaniments. For entrees we ordered the Oak-grilled Filet Mignon, the Togarashi- spiced Cobia, the American Wagyu New York Strip, and my kids ordered the kid's steak with a side of mashed potatoes. The Oak-grilled Filet Mignon and American Wagyu New York Strip was so tender, flavorful and cooked perfectly. The Togarashi- spiced Cobia was absolutely delicious. The Cobia was soft and seasoned very well. The cashew puree and mushroom dashi broth paired great with the fish and brought the whole dish together. The kid's steaks were also cooked perfectly and very tender. We also ordered the Truffles and Pasta as an enhancement and I'm so glad we did. The Pasta is house-made Tagliatelle so the noodles were fresh and had the perfect texture. The pasta sauce was so creamy and the shaved seasonal truffles on top added extra beauty and flavor to the dish. For dessert we ordered the Macchiato and Citrus-Basil Cheesecake. If you love rich and decadent chocolate then I highly recommend the Macchiato. If you love citrus then the Citrus-Basil Cheesecake is the perfect way to end your meal. I enjoyed both desserts but because I love chocolate the Macchiato was my favorite. For mocktails the Purple Penguin was absolutely amazing and one of the best mocktails I've had! It was so tasty and refreshing. Everything we ordered was so good and I highly recommend trying them all.

What an absolutely stunning example of dining in WDW! Even if you show up after a long day of park adventures, humidity, and rides where you definitely end up getting wet, you will feel right at home at Citricos. Though next time, I'll make sure to dress to impress even Mary Poppins herself! The cocktails and snacks while we waited for our table were the first indicator we were in for a delicious treat! All of the staff were tremendous and we wanted for nothing the entire time! They were also incredibly mindful of my coconut allergy, which is obviously very appreciated. For my entree, I had the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection--I prefer my steaks mid-rare which outside of WDW can be a gamble when it comes to accuracy, but I never worry about it when we're 'home.' Other highlights were the dessert, and that dreamy pineapple daiquiri! I cannot wait to return!!

Guava-barbecued Short Ribs 10/10 absolutely delicious. Great portion.

In a trip full of eating at a handful of signature dining options, this was my favorite in the Disney resorts. Grand floridian is home to some good eats, Citricos is my favorite among them. TL;DR 1. Best meal of the trip among several Disney resort signature dining spots. 2. High price point, expected for signature dining, but service was exceptional. 3. Complimentary bread & sea salt cultured butter--dangerously good. 4. Seared duck appetizer: Small but delicious; soy quail eggs were a standout. 5. Guava BBQ Short Rib: Rich, filling, and tasty, but only got half a Brussels sprout instead of a real portion. 6. Smoked Cauliflower: Unexpectedly amazing; do not skip it. Green curry sauce was phenomenal. 7. Dessert (Goat Cheese Cheesecake): Cool concept, but white chocolate shell was overpowering and artificial-tasting. 8. Overall: Favorite meal of the trip, despite a few minor gripes. Would absolutely return. As a signature dining option, price is obviously up there, so again, not a normal dinner night for most people as it can be a little cost prohibitive, however, I LOVED this meal. Of course, the service matched, everything was taken care of and you get that white glove service you look forward to with signature dining. First off, complimentary bread for the table, always gets extra points from me. They served some kind of special sea salt cultured butter, and was dangerously delicious. They have sourdough made in-house as well and it comes crusty, with a pillowy interior and again, just try not to eat the whole dang thing. They give a good amount, too. The seared duck appetizer was great. A little small, but it was expected. The soy quail eggs were exceptional and the accompanying vegetables and sauce really helped tie everything tother. The duck was insanely tender and flavorful, very happy I got it. The Guava BBQ Short Rib was top notch. A solid portion, the bed of creamy grits and the rich short rib are deceptively filling. The slaw was nice texturally, my only complaint is it says it comes with brussels sprouts (plural), I think I got 1 Brussel cut in half..? I wanted a green vegetable, not a garnish. That's my one gripe for a $52 entrée. Besides that, delicious and would order again. The dark horse of the dinner.. Smoked cauliflower?? When I tell you not to pass up the cauliflower, don't! Whatever they did to this stuff, it was amazing. The green curry sauce was unbelievable with the cauliflower and citrus creme fraiche. It's a sleeper, but trust me. Lastly, the dessert. Visually pleasing, but overall wouldn't order it again. I loved the flavor of the goat cheese cheesecake (I'll be stealing that idea) but as a whole it fell short with me. I am not a big white chocolate fan, but I tolerate it. It is easy to overdo it and you get that fake confectionary flavor lingering, it's just not enjoyable. Had some great qualities, but some not so great. That white chocolate shell was just meh. All in all, fantastic dinner, favorite of the trip (while not all comparable, we ate at toledo, topolino, boma, sebastians bistro, Wailulu bar and grill).

Came back to celebrate my wife's birthday and it was still one of the best special occasion restaurants in Disney World. We got the Passion Margarita, Blossom Martini, Yuzu-Soy Roasted Duck Breast, Citrus-Cured Hamachi, Domestic Fish (Fish of the day?), and the Malbec Guava-Barbecued Short Ribs, and the Truffle Macaroni & Cheese. Every single thing was amazing. The drinks were solid. The short ribs and the truffle mac and cheese were my favorite parts but there wasn't one thing I wouldn't order again. The service was top tier here just like last time we came here. It was a wonderful experience and since we came a little later it felt it was a little more intimate. Citricos is a must if you're out to celebrate.

Citricos offers delicious food with an elegant blend of sweet and savory flavors. The standout dish for us was the guava short ribs--perfectly tender and packed with rich, balanced flavor. Food: 4.3 Service: 4.5 Ambiance: 4.6

First time for us at Citricos and man we should have been coming here for years! This was one of the best meals we have ever had at Disney. Citricos is located at the Grand Floridian Resort, and you will need a reservation, but you can always try for walk up. You can use any Disney transportation to get to the hotel or you can park, which at the moment, is highly annoying. You will need to park across the street and walk in. The restaurant is on the second floor in the back corner. If you see the lounge, Enchanted Rose, walk past and head to the back. We had a reservation but got there early. They stated they probably couldn't seat us early (despite it just opening and not full), so we decided to go sit at the bar. We told them we would just wait for our time. But, within 3 minutes, they came and got us for our table. It was a little irritating, since they had said no, and the bartender was making our drinks. But it wasn't that big of a deal. They let us finish paying then our server walked us to our table. He explained the theme, pointed out little touches and discussed his favorite dishes with us. Their theme is Mary Poppins with cushioned chairs, a private dining room, and her famous bag hanging on the coat rack. There is a small lounge area, a bar and then open kitchen. Love that touch! The chef even interacted with us as I tried to take a photo. Their menu is very slim, but perfect options. There are only a few selections to choose from, but everything sounded so good. Your meal starts with fresh baked bread served with guava butter topped with sea salt. Guava butter sounds weird, but it was so delicious partnered with that fresh baked bread. We started with an appetizer, the Spring Pea and Citrus Arancini. There were only 3 arancini balls and some sauce, it was a little small portion size for the price but delicious and something I would personally order each time. For entrees my wife ordered the Oak-grilled Filet Mignon, which came with Potato Purée, Seasonal Vegetable, Sherry-Guajillo Beef Jus. She is not a hue fan of mashed potatoes, so she asked to substitute the side that came with my dish, the Aged Cheddar Creamy Grits. Her filet was so tender, it literally melted in your mouth like butter. She thought it was the best filet she has ever had. I ordered the Guava-barbecued Short Ribs which had Aged Cheddar Creamy Grits, Roasted Poblano, Curtido Slaw, and Brussels Sprouts. I love short ribs, its one of my favorite beef dishes, and this one was so good. It literally fell off the bone, no knife needed. This was so delicious, and I would order it again and again. The grits were so delicious, they were more like a risotto not a grit. It was a thicker style grit, but if I could order these to go, just a side, I would do it all the time! We actually ordered dessert as well, which is rare, but I am glad we did. We chose the Profiterole Trio: Vanilla Custard, Dulce de Leche, Pumpkin Cream. Very light and delicious, not heavy at all. This was the perfect dessert if you are sort of full but want something sweet. Overall, this was an amazing dining experience. It was a perfect Valentine's Dinner and loved every single part of the meal. There was not one item we did not like, both plates, appetizer and dessert were clean! So full!!! The food was perfect! Add this to your list! ACES!

We have found this restaurant to be consistently fantastic no matter what time of day, in regard to…read moreboth service and food. We've done breakfast, lunch, and dinner and have loved it all. For breakfast we got the American breakfast and the bacon and cheddar grits. The eggs were perfectly cooked to order, bacon was crispy, and the grits had a creamy consistency without being too runny or thick. The bacon and cheddar were tasted all throughout. The potatoes were my least favorite because I don't like bell pepper and onion, but they were large enough to pick out. For lunch we got the stack burger and grilled chicken sandwich. The grilled chicken was juicy and paired nicely with the herb aïoli. Plus you can't go wrong with avocado, melted mozzarella, and crispy bacon. Everything tasted fresh. I prefer my fries in a more shoestring style. They were seasoned, but it was too much potato for me. The stack burger is something special. The bun is soft, fresh, and able to withstand the burger patties and topping without being soggy from first to last bite. The lemon aïoli tastes like mayo with a hint of citrus. These are the juiciest patties I've ever tasted. You don't even need the aïoli. Despite being "smashed style", I was blown away at how much flavor, juice, and tenderness could be in such a thin patty. The pork belly also added a little fat to the bite. This was OUTSTANDING! I got the petite Caesar salad because I didn't want fries and I don't like pasta salad. The lettuce was a mix of crisp and other parts were wilted. This just didn't have much flavor that you typically get in a Caesar that is usually salty, peppery, and/or garlicky. The burger was so good, I could skip the sides altogether. For dinner, we got the brioche, French onion soup, bacon & eggs, and center cut filet. The sea salt dusted brioche comes with butter and roasted garlic tomato spread. I'll be honest, the only reason we ordered this was to soak up the rest of the French onion soup lol. The tomato spread had a bell pepper flavor to it and since I don't eat bell peppers, I scooped to the bottom to find the roasted garlic. The bread was dense, but I liked the flaky salt on it. It was an effective vehicle for finishing my soup bowl clean, but I wouldn't order it to eat on its own. Now, this is my FAVORITE French onion soup on property. It is rich and cheesy. The broth has so much depth with the beef flavor and caramelized onions. The cheese is perfectly broiled with those crispy bits on the edges and the cheese-pull is insane. I will always get this here. The bacon & eggs are pork belly with smoked cheese grits and a poached egg. The pork belly was fatty with a nice slightly sweet glaze. I like to dip in it in the yolk of the poached egg and get a scoop of the creamy, cheese grits for a perfect bite. The filet was seasoned and seared and cooked to medium as requested. The red wine sauce adds a nice contrast to the richness of the filet. The mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery. Overall, we are big fans of Steakhouse 71. It's casual at breakfast and lunch and more upscale at dinner, but you can still wear normal park attire.

As with all Disney table service dining, reservations are highly recommended. If you're staying at a Disney resort at WDW you can make dining reservations for your entire stay 60 days before your check in date. This is a moderate steakhouse rather than a truly high end dining experience. The dining room is large but doesn't have a ton of character and lacks privacy as there are few booths and tables are quite close to each other. Our server was very attentive and kind and had a great personality. I tried the fig cocktail to start which was flavorful and quite strong. Remember that an alcoholic beverage is included with your meal on the Disney dining plan! I had the filet for my entree with the peppercorn sauce and Mac and cheese. Everything was very tasty! The filet was very tender. I don't even like Mac and cheese normally, but something about Disney Mac and cheese just makes it really good! For dessert I had the huge chocolate cake which was extremely moist and delicious. Overall, this a great moderate steakhouse at WDW!

Wow! This might be our new FAVORITE at Disney World…read more 1. Like everything else at the Grand Floridian, it is beautiful with a lovely view. 2. The service was good. The chef was sweet to come to our table. My husband informed him that he believed his filet mignon was the best he's had on property. 3. The Lobster Bisque was not only presented beautifully, it was delicious. There was plenty of lobster in it. 4. Even the bread was perfectly flaky. 5. I think the calamari is a must appetizer, the pickled vegetables with it off a lot of flavor. 6. Many employees told me that the shrimp bucatini was their favorite. The noodles are made in house and the sauce was fresh. They did not give a bad recommendation at all, I loved it and am still dreaming about it. The food is on the expensive side because of the quality of ingredients and elevated flavor profiles. I definitely say it is your money's worth. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco and I liked it. I didn't think it was amazing so I went to look up the price online if I were to buy it. We paid $100 in the restaurant, but I found it for $10 online. That was a little off putting at least give me a $40 bottle of Prosecco for your up charge to $100. Our server was nice but not the high-end server I would've preferred when our bill is like $600. We ordered a lot of food and drinks for our table. She wasn't extremely attendant or quick. When we go to expensive restaurants, the server caliber tends to be overcompensating. Like I said she was nice. The chef did come out to speak with us. Very nice man. Overall, I would return to this restaurant, I just might skip the bottle of Prosecco lol.

The best thing about eating at the bar is that you can order a la carte from the prix-fix menu and they also offer a variety of small bites as well. We had the short rib wontons and the spicy kazan roll off the bar menu- both were excellent with great flavors. For drinks the bartender made me the Blackberry sour as a mocktail and it was so delicious and fresh! My husband enjoyed the Sonoma Maple Bourbon Old Fashioned. These are available 60 days ahead of your check-in date if you're staying at a Disney property. You can then book your dining for your entire stay, so research and plan ahead! This eatery is located right next to the Hall of Presidents at Magic Kingdom. The decor is revolutionary war themed right down to the server's outfits. The food is all you care to enjoy and is served at your table family style and is not a buffet. The meal is a set offering and includes a salad to start followed by a plate of assorted meats (sliced turkey, ham, and pot roast) and a plate of sides (mashed potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, and mac and cheese). This is followed by a bread pudding dessert (but I believe we received a different dessert due to a birthday celebration). You can ask for more of anything if you wish. Everything was delicious! I really enjoyed the turkey which was tender and juicy as well as the super tasty and tender pot roast. The server was very friendly and attentive, and of course you can use your Disney dining plan here by redeeming one table service meal which is a great value for all the food you can get (and considering how tasty it is). I highly recommend this Disney restaurant!

Standouts for me were the salad, pot roast and mashed potatoes. Don't get carried away and forget to save room for dessert, though! It's amazing too. My family and I stayed in Walt Disney World for a whole week and this was the best meal of the trip.

Especially if you're doing the Magic Kingdom Park for the day... You have to come here for lunch or dinner. It's no secret that Magic Kingdom is notorious for not having the best food options. This will save your trip lol. Take a boat over and enjoy an amazing meal. I went there twice in one vacation. That's how great this place is. Not only are the view scenic, but it's a covered outdoor bar as well as a restaurant inside. I would highly recommend that the weather permits to sit outdoors. You get a wonderful breeze and a beautiful view of Magic Kingdom/Bay Lake. Now let's talk food. I have yet to get something bad from here. Every single dish has been fantastic. The fish was flaky, and the sauce was a great combination savory/slight tart from the lime. It's a very refreshing and filling meal. Now this pork shank... This pork shank changed my life lol. You can go ahead and put your knife to the side because you will not need it. It falls off the bone. Combine that with the garlic rice and you're an absolute heaven. My mouth is watering just typing this out lol. The octopus is my favorite appetizer I've gotten. Is very easy to overcook octopus but they do an amazing job making sure it cuts like butter. And sweet potato hummus is a great pic for a healthier option. Now let's just dedicate a moment to the chocolate cake. I have yet to have a dessert on property that tastes as good as this dessert. I will say from what I've seen on the app. It is tough to get a reservation here, but I've lucked out the last couple of times. We're just walking up and getting direct seating. From what hotel concierge has told me, if you are staying at another resort, but would like to come here, you cannot pull up to the gate and say you would like to eat here. You have to have a reservation. So they recommended taking a bus to the Magic Kingdom or transportation and ticket center and heading to the Polynesian from there. He made her log into the app, which is no different than the web version. In a rude tone, he said "I'm so sorry that was such an inconvience for you." After this, we were treated horribly. We were spoken to with an attitude, he didn't check on us once and he would interact with other tables and purposely ignore us. Drinks were not refilled, straws were not offered and the whole experience was awful. We ended up asking for a manager, and one was not sent to our table. Instead, we had to flag one down. It unfortunately doesn't end there. My nieces food came out 20 minutes before our food. By the time our food arrived, they had finished their food. Other tables with kids received their food at the same time. I ordered the glass noodles and shrimp, which was fine. It really just tasted like salt, the shrimp were chewy and the portion was small. The manager removed the kids meals from our bill. I will not be back.
