Just had my third haircut here. Eric is a true professional and did a fantastic job on my unruly hair. Very pleased.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Eric is hands-down the most caring, present, and consistent barber we've ever experienced. He doesn't just cut hair.... he creates confidence. The way he approaches each haircut is like watching an artist completely absorbed in their craft. You can see how much he loves what he does, and it shows in every detail. I've been bringing my son to Eric for a few years now, and despite living almost an hour away in NH, we happily make the drive to Tewksbury, MA because he is worth it every single time. Eric always remembers exactly what my son likes, and on top of delivering a perfect cut, he makes a personal connection that leaves my son walking out smiling and confident. It's rare to find someone so passionate and consistent in their work. Eric truly cares about his clients, and his dedication shines through in every cut. I can't say enough good things about him--if you're looking for more than just a haircut, but an experience that makes you feel your best, Eric is the one. read more

Eric and the Bârba District team on Main Street in Tewksbury are the best in the business! It's the only place I'll go for a cut and beard trim. The prices for kids' cuts are awesome too. Eric and his team have taken care of me and my family before every big event--weddings, anniversaries, holidays, you name it. Always professional, always on point. Thank you! read more

I brought my 14 month old son for his first cut at Barba District and I couldn't be more pleased! I was nervous at first on how this would go, and if my son would sit still. Eric was so patient, even though my son did pretty good. My son was sold by the lollipop, which then distracted him from moving. Eric was amazing and did such a great cut with the perfect fade and line. We will most definitely be going back!! read more

I saw Francis and he was great. Super personable and did a great job. I would definitely go back to him for my next cut.

Eric was fantastic. super nice guy, very personable. plus, and most importantly, he knows what he's doing! We talked about head And face shape and what would look best for me, and it came out great. Talked me through his thoughts and techniques the whole time. Gave me some tips for care to keep it fresh looking everyday. I brought my 2 year old son for his first haircut and it couldn't have gone smoother. He kept him engaged the whole time and he came out looking supah fresh. We're back now and my son likes going to the barber. 5 stars read more

This is a very nice clean barbershop with about eight chairs and they offer traditional straight edge shave and finishing. I was very happy with my haircut here. I wish I remember the barbers name she was a young girl very nice seem to know what she was doing. They also accept venmo and cash app payments which is nice and you can book online or by phone which is also nice because it is nice to be nice to the nice. read more

Great cut and shave today with Amanda. She spent time making sure the cut was perfect and did all the special touches to give a clean and professional finish. The shave was fantastic. Face feels great afterwards. No razor burn or pain at all. Really took the time to make sure the hard to shave spots were well done and clean. Thanks Amanda. I just moved to the area and found my barber. Thanks! read more

First time here in my search for a local barber, and I'm already booking my next cut. Flawless experience start to finish. A convenient location and an immaculate shop with great brick 'n beam character inside. Eric was welcoming, friendly and basically read my mind on what i wanted after a couple of questions- listening to what I had in mind while mixing in some professional advice. Haircut was great and a pristine job on the beard too. The straight-razor shave was masterful with plenty of fun banter throughout. I think I've found my new, regular spot and highly recommend for yours as well. read more

This was hands down the best haircut I've ever gotten. If I wasn't moving to Miami on Monday I would be here every few weeks to have Ryan line me back up and get my hair looking crispy! Couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The attention to detail and ensuring my cut looks great wet and dry really proved BâRBA District goes over the top! read more

Brought my 4 year old son here twice now and both times I have left extremely happy. I never make an appointment since we are always on the go so hair cuts are always last min decisions, both times they were able to take us with little wait time. I have never been asked so many times where I get my sons hair cut since I started coming here. read more

On Saturday 5/9, Tone lost a 4-YEAR Customer who would come in for 3 cuts/month ($75 in monthly revenues) due to greed and lack of basic business skills. Recently, Tone has implemented a rule that if you arrive more than 5 minutes late for an appointment, service is not provided and a fee of $10 is applied. On Saturday, I committed my first offense by arriving 8 minutes late. Upon my arrival, Tone informed me that he had already called someone else to come in to get a cut. Additionally, there was nothing he could do for me and I had to pay the $10 fine. I don't need to do this but below is a list of 3 simple alternatives for Tone: 1. Instead of calling someone else to take my place, you could've called me first to double check. It was my first offense. You could've slapped my wrist by saying that this is my first time and that you wouldn't do this again. 2. You could provide an additional 5 min. unofficial grace period. 3. You could've apologized to me by having had called someone else. You could've waived the fee and looked for a possibility to accommodate me on the same day. These alternatives are Business 101. It is easy to NOT TO VALUE your customers when times are good. When the "going gets tough," barbers with basic business skills will be the ones to succeed. Tone has a habit of telling his customers that "his time is valuable." I get what you are trying to say but this is a poor choice of words. All you need to focus on is CUSTOMER, CUSTOMER, and CUSTOMER. Due to recent acquisition of additional customers, Tone has raised the prices as well as his ego. Anyway, Tone did not care for a 4-YEAR customer and wanted to make a quick buck ($10 fee, which I paid as soon as he denied service...NO NEXT TIME for me). I have already found another barber in Lowell. In fact, when I visited another shop, I found a former customer of Tone. He also expressed his recent discontent with Tone's services. To his credit, Tone does have talent. However, there are many other quality barbers in Lowell, especially the Dominicans. Philippe read more

Legit best cut I've gotten in years. Tone is booked solid and now I understand why. He is hands down one of the best barbers in the area. Very attentive and listens to exactly what you want. Wish this guy had four arms so he could take more clientele! read more

Definitely not one to complain when I get a haircut but I could not let this one get away.... I've been contemplating for weeks if I should post a review, but god damn I have too now. I can't speak about the other barbers in this establishment but the barber I got, Noy, the Asian one in the middle. Is absolutely not the go too guy!!! I asked for a medium skin fade combover and my man gave me a high fade skrillex special... like wtf guy what do you think a combover is, this was my first time trying some place new and damn I'm never going to another new barber again.. this is blasphemy. I don't wanna disrespect any of the barbers there but if this was the quality of one of the barbers I can only imagine the others work. Best of luck to the next people going. 1/10 will not ever go back again. read more

I had my first of many cuts with Tone. He's a true professional who cares about his customers, and really values feedback. He has appointments only, so without walk-ins it's a real plus knowing your cut is being done without the pressure of a waiting room. Three huge thumbs up, and here's why: 1) Grade A cut with a real straight edge blade for line-up's and full shaves. 2) Appointment only, and you can book appointments's 12+ months in advance. 3) Cash and credit payment options, and prices are clear cut while being extremely reasonable. Thanks Tone! V/R, Paul read more

You know it when you see it! I just moved to Lowell and after only a few minutes of watching Tone cut my hair I knew I had found my new guy! No one else is touching this fade! Ok. First visit today and they squeezed me in. Had Matt who was very friendly and asked what I wanted. All seemed fine. I wear glasses so took them off for the cut. Fast forward to when I got home. My "part" which has always been a thin clean shaved line was now about a 1/2 inch wide! What the hell. Way way too wide and not really fixable. Needless to say I won't go back. Luckily my hair grows quickly- but my part is more of a stripe. read more

I booked an appointment after spending sometime trying to find a decent barber, who can fade as well as he cuts. Previously I had been frequenting salons to get my hair cut and moving from barbers to barbers. I lost hope, until I switched to Tone, it was the best decision I made! He knows the latest trends and is more than willing to work with you to give you what you want. Looking forward to my next appointments. *Professional motivated, humble and blessed with a positive attitude read more

Tone is a mad scientist. After two cuts in four weeks it's a fact, there's no better barber in Mass. I'd challenge anyone to run their skills against his. I love that I can book online and make changes accordingly. Tone is busy enough to NOT work weekends, which is a great reflection of his priorities and that family comes first. Plus, only being able to book during the week forces me to leave the office early and saves me an hour on the weekends. Tone works in a relatively nondescript shop, but don't let looks fool you he's a man about his business. Hair is serious, since a bad cut leaves you faced with a straight buzz, and I'm not about that life. Highly recommend for a good cut, good banter and a good time. read more

As a fairly new barber still learning to perfect my skills, I was interested in appreciating under a master barber who could help guide me into the barber I aspire to be. Not realizing what a daunting task that would become or what I would have to endure before finding the right mentor. Nevertheless I was determined to make it as a female in a predominantly male profession. However I'll be honest, even now in 2020 the equality between us is not a level playing field. Regardless of my formal education of barbering at NEHA or my decade of experience cutting hair as a licensed cosmetologist, many shops turned me away simply for the fact that I am a woman. As the doors kept shutting in my face,I took whatever I could get just to gain more experience,my options were far and few between and available for a reason . I'll spare myself the humiliation and refrain from the details of the trials and tribulations I've encountered prior to coming to Bârba District, but I can assure you,Tone, the owner and master barber of the shop, is by far the most skilled professional and talented barber I've ever had the opportunity to work with. The differences between Bârba District and where I had come from were like night and day. From the moment I walked in the door both Matt and Tone have helped me progress and guided me through the more technical cuts without ever being condescending or criticizing. Believe me when I tell you that's not the normal treatment I've received elsewhere. I finally got the opportunity I've been praying for ! I'm able to build and grow in a healthy judgement free, efficiency run environment. I'm very fortunate and great full to have such a humble professional skilled barber such as Tone as a mentor. I feel I've paid my dues on the journey to find my new home here and had I not experienced what I had prior to coming to this shop I wouldn't appreciate it as much! Thank you so much for bringing me into your shop and always treating me with respect as you teach me how to master my skills. I can't express the gratitude I have for this opportunity. I'm honored to be a part of this establishment and able to learn from a meticulous professional barber with such integrity and dignity that he leaves me humbled and eager for the knowledge he's been kind enough to bestow on me. I look forward to what the future has in store for me at Bârba District. As a client you can feel confident that you will receive the same level of respect and the most precise attention to detail and standards of cleanliness I've ever experienced in my career. I'm proud to a part of Bârba District and once you experience the level of professionalism set by tone you won't be disappointed or looking for hair celsewhere in our Bârba district read more

Moved to the area 2 years back and was looking for a solid spot to get my cut. Switching barbers is like switching doctors- Not Easy! Tone made the entire experience easy, and I was confident from day 1 that I made the right choice. Shop is clean, professional, and friendly. In my previous shop I could wait upwards of 2 hours just to hit the chair. With the apointment only system, my entire visit is roughly 45 mins. Two years of great cuts, quality service, and unmatched convenience. read more
