Took my nephew here for a haircut. I didn't get the name of the barber who worked on him, but he was very polite and quick. I think we were in and out within 20 minutes. The shop itself is set up in such an adorable way in that there's not really a theme but everything just looks so modern and cool. The price was reasonable and I appreciate how the barber made sure my nephew liked everything about his cut before sending him on his way. Good vibes all around. read more

I had an aweful experience here today. I called ahead of time and after the course of a confusing 2 minute call, was told to come in in 30 minutes. 30 minutes later I arrived to a staff that didn't seem to know I was coming. I sat on the couch for approximately 20-30 which would be normally nothing to get upset about, but was compounded by the fact that the barber I got stuck with rushed through my haircut. I gave him instructions to cut 1.5 on the sides and finger width on top, just enough to style, and a quick beard detailing. To his credit, the beard lines were good, at the cost of two distinct straight razor cuts across my right cheek. As for my hair, I came away looking like a Chia pet. He cut my widow's peak without asking and left micro-bangs on either side, essentially averaging my hairline, which not only doesn't fit my face, but also left it looking uneven with distinct stubble where my widow's peak should be. While I asked for enough on top to style, I was given a crew cut, so short that my hair was standing straight up, accented by multiple fly-aways across my head that stand up at least two centimeters taller than the rest of my hair. All told, this cost me $30 (their standard rate for hair and beard) and whatever I will have to pay next week when my hair has had a chance to grow out enough to try and fix this somewhere else. I've had one decent experience here before, but after today I'm never coming back. read more

We have special needs cuts when we go and from the first we felt perfectly taken care of. We just happened upon this shop in a pinch and God was blessing us with the RIGHT PLACE. You see, my 30 year old son has special needs and is not an easy one to cut both scalp and beard. I, his senior mother, wear a wig because of advanced alopecia, which is embarrassing. Billy is so compassionate with me and treats me like a queen in his chair. I can just let go, because Willy knows exactly what my son needs and does a perfect job every time so I don't have to be overseeing the cut for my son. We live eight miles away and pass at least 15+ barbershops and salons to get to Billy's Barbershop, but we will NEVER go anyplace else. But wait! There's MORE! I also am impressed that Billy works to help reclaim recovering alcoholics, addicts, fathers needing models to better parent their children, and many more unseen fine works in the Lowell community. It's an inspiration just to be there and see a young man just hanging out trying to find a safe place to be. Billy has also helped my son when he has gotten lost, too. This shop completely exceeded my expectations! My hair was falling out and breaking and I was left with no choice but to cut it, as a young female with long hair this was pretty terrifying! I went in with terrible spirits and was fully prepared to cry when the hair was gone. The barber Jason was absolutely amazing and was able to match my inspiration photo exactly. Throughout the cut he asked constant questions to make sure it was perfectly the way I want it. He gave me a super cool haircut and one that made me feel great about myself. No tears were shed this day and I left feeling 100x better than when I came in. I would absolutely recommend Jason and this barber shop to anybody looking for a great hair cut. Worst experience ever! I went with my boyfriend & the barber gave my boyfriend a completely different haircut than what he asked for, he was cutting my boyfriend's face a lot, the barber kept speaking Spanish the whole time to everyone in the shop, his breath was the worst. I guess because I'm white they thought I wouldn't know Spanish but the stuff they said about me in Spanish was very inappropriate, degrading and disgusting. This was the most uncomfortable environment ever. My boyfriend coulnt even explain what he wanted to the barber since he couldn't really speak English. The music was too loud and violent. People kept walking in and out looked & like they were on drugs. I dont recommend this place to anyone. These business card should not be on campus! read more
