My review is for my trainer Kevin Abandy. Just wanted to say he is a very knowledgeable trainer. He…read morewould first listen to your goals and also take into consideration of your current body conditions and injuries and work around that. Before the start of every single session he would ask how are you doing today to ensure he can address any issue you may have that particular day before starting. He does not want you to aggravate any injuries (he would also get on my case for over stretching due to my existing injuries haha). But a big thing for him is to instill having the right technique. Outside of the gym, he would text you the workout of the day, so you can track progress, tries to hold you accountable for having the nutrition, sleep, and would be very responsive to text or call anytime. The only knock on him is it's too bad he can't observe me on every single rep but that's because I signed up for his cheaper group session rather than 1 on 1 in which he also offers.

First, this is a great facility. It is always clean, well-maintained, well-ventilated, and has…read moreeverything you need to get a good workout. But this is not a gym; it is a training facility where you work with trainers to tackle your physical goals. Next, this is about my trainer, Kevin Abandy. Kevin has been my trainer for exactly 8 weeks now and he is awesome! I made the decision to get a trainer after my birthday to truly invest in myself. You can invest in your own skills and education, but the return is almost always indirect. But with a trainer, specifically Kevin, I gained 8 lbs of muscle mass and lost 8% body fat (approx. 13-lbs of fat) after 8 weeks of training with him. Also, at the start of my training, I had back pain (from past injury to T12) and knee pains (from under the kneecap). Through Kevin's program and coaching, my pain has been reduced to near 0 with full mobility -- like squatting all the way down and up with 200-lbs of weight on my shoulders with no knee pain. I would give a 1-star review to keep it from getting crowded, but it would be hard for me to not tell others about the good that comes out of this place. My mom is 70 and she's training with Kevin too! And the story is the same for her... knee pains - GONE. Back pains - GONE. If you're reading this and decide to get a consultation with Kevin, please let him know you saw Alex's review so he knows his method is making an impact.

Seeing all the good reviews and results of his clients I was convinced to make a consultation with him and definitely couldn't have made a better Choice. I'm 23 years old never lifted weights and I was a bit nervous going in but he's very professional, patient, and great at communicating with the routines, with your form, and nutrition. I've been training with him for about 3 months now and I'm just so thrilled with the results I was able to loose 7.2 percent of body fat and gained about 3 pounds of muscle. Like I said I've never done weights beforehand and for me it's a great accomplishment, can't wait for future results!

I originally came in just wanting to fix my form and learn how to lift properly, and that's what…read moreI've been getting. Kacy is big on progression and basically operates under the assumption that you can always go up in weight, which has pushed my strength up (especially hip thrusts and RDLs). It's small group training, which keeps the energy up because everyone's working at the same time. He'll keep you accountable and make sure you finish your sets and there's a decent chance you'll leave with a random nickname you didn't ask for but it does keep things entertaining. In my first month I've already seen measurable changes in strength and body composition, so it's been interesting to see the progress show up pretty quickly. Curious to see what the next couple months look like.

I am still working with Mia and will update my review at the 6 month marker with photos.

I would have never considered myself "overweight" but knew I needed to lose a few pounds. I've tried the traditional membership gyms but always found that I would lose interest or motivation. When I started inquiring about personal trainers, Mia was very prompt at answering. During our consultation I did a body fat scan and was shocked to find out that I was nearly 25%. We talked and I learned that it was less about the weight and more about body composition and fat/muscle percentages. Due to my work schedule we were able to meet twice a week for an hour a session. Mia adds good variety to our workouts and I definitively know that I push myself more during our sessions that I normally would have if I were doing the workouts by myself. She also places an emphasis on nutrition and offers advice on what to eat and what to stay away from. The last couple of years my diet has gotten progressively worse, and she's been a great help in getting me back on track. I've noticed that I've started making much healthier choices in the foods I eat. still have a ways to go but would highly recommend Mia for helping you get you to your goals!

I was going through such a tough tough time both mentally because of the loss and physically from being pregnant. I had done everything from boot camp, yoga, and cycling. You name it, I've done it. While checkin out my friends posts and stories on Instagram, I kept seeing posts for a facility that opened up in Chino Hills, Self Made Training Facility with Pablo from Ambitious Fitness. I contacted him and the rest is pretty much history. Myself, my husband, niece, nephew and son all train with Ambitious Fitness. Best things about Ambitious Fitness: 1) Pablo and his team (and I mean every single one of them) are incredibly passionate and love what they do, and it totally shows in their energy and the way they carry themselves. 2) They have this amazing ability to push you beyond what you think you can do. You would have never thought that this Asian girl who only played badminton and piano as a sport could deadlift 275lbs. 3) They make sure you will achieve your goals and get results. My results: Being only 125 lbs in college, it was hard to believe I would get to as much as 168lbs and 36% body fat, but I did. After a year with Pablo I got down to 148lbs and 19.1% body fat at my lowest. I am more physically fit than I ever was and mentally stronger. Hit Ambitious Fitness up!! If it's for your health and for your future, it's definitely worth a try.
