I have to give here exceptional credit for weathering the changes in healthcare let alone those practice changes with the recent market in the Chicagoland area. Dr. Rae is a great service driven physician that listens, assesses, treats and follows up with patients. Although an internist, she has an excellent handle on diabetes and its treatment. Over the years our family's health has thrown several curve balls that she has fielded well. Emergency calls, Late night appointments and collaborative efforts with other physicians are among her exceptional service qualities. If we have ever had any issues, it has been directly traced through the errors of transitioning support staff.

I was handed a post it note in the office, and expected to pay that amount. Uh, NO, I said I'd pay when I received an Itemized bill and when I finally did receive that, I saw they tried to charge an extra $200 for something my insurance already paid. The doctor himself will keep you waiting for At Least 30-45 mins for each visit and then when you finally get to see him, make sure you have your concerns listed on paper because you will Not have a chance to actually TALK about what's hurting you. He's very quick to get you out of the exam room and get the next person in. I had one visit where he left the room to take a phone call, came back in and just expected me to be ready to leave before finishing my exam! Unless you're in an absolute time crunch yourself, don't bother with this doctor. He and his office are obviously more concerned with $$$ than the health & well being of their patients.
