She finally felt safe, seen, and capable of thriving. What stood out most was how the school didn't try to "fix" anything, they accepted her and built around their strengths while gently guiding them through challenges. Their patience and communication with us as parents were outstanding. We felt like true partners in their education. Clowvazar Academy deserves all the praise. The school has Stranger walking around "fixing the school" but you can't walk YOUR KID to class before 730. You can only leave them at the door and hope they wall straight to class. the girls bathroom put their tissues lon the dirty floor and expects the girls to wipe with it. The teachers are always on their phones never paying attention to the children outside. My son was bullied by MULTIPLE STUDENT in his class and in their after school care (they allow all ages together and put them in a room until 630) one girl put my daughter finger in a pencil sharpener and cut her hand the teacher said NOTHING until I got there and she didn't clean it or put a bandaid on it. I brought up the incidents to the teachers and principal I was told we couldn't switch classes and slowly after that my children became targets. Every time my son tried to tell on the student (they pulled his hair called him names pushed him down) HE WAS PUNISHED; they made him move his clip and even put him in ISS even took his jacket on one of the coldest days in San Antonio (even tho other students were allowed to wear their jackets due to the weather). Their iss is CREAPY (He had to sit ALONE in the male principals office all day in the back of the school just him and this random man, mind you this is a new school we haven't known any of these teacher previously) that made me EXTREMELY uncomfortable, it felt like the principal was looking to put my son in iss for anything now, at our other school he was a star student; straight As NEVER been in trouble; thats why I wanted to challenge him with a STEM school but safe to say we're going back to our previous school and I'll be contacting the school board about this HORRIBLE schools practice. In addition, there were concerns regarding the conduct of staff members.My daughter became involved with individuals of a questionable character, and I found the experience of dropping her off at the institution to be extremely petrifying. In an effort to address the situation, a meeting was convened with the principal of the school and the district; however, no action was taken until a year later, by which time the drug situation had significantly deteriorated and even like that it has not been control. Also, to note my daughter's involvement in varsity-level swimming and polo for four years was observed, and an attempt was made to solicit guidance and support from her Coach Nelson. However, instead of maintaining confidentiality, the coach disclosed the matter to the entire team and mom in charge of helping. Consequently, the team and their teammates began to bully and isolate her, excluding her from all activities. Furthermore, none of her peers spoke to her, exacerbating the situation! The coach was also complicit in this mistreatment, as were some of the volunteer mothers who worked with him. The names of these individuals were Janet Stewart and Dana Robinson; They were supposed to be nurturing and kind, but they also mistreated my child and were abusive towards me, despite knowing that I was a single mother who had cancer.I submitted a complaint to principal and the school district again, but no action was taken. It was only after my child began attending Johnson that she encountered individuals of questionable character, and that drugs were permitted on campus. Nonetheless, it is gratifying to note that she successfully completed her studies at Johnson with honours, was awarded with an scholarship, and has now enrolled as a first-year student at a highly regarded university, where she continues to achieve academic excellence.However, the four years she spent at high school were a particularly challenging period for both of us. It is therefore not a school I would recommend. If it is chosen by the reader, however, it is important to be aware of the unsavoury characters that are present, and to not expect any support from the school district or its staff.

I've personally met with counselors, coaches, and teachers, and they have always been helpful, responsive, and invested in student success. My son currently attends and is active in both football and track. The school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities and creates plenty of opportunities for students to get involved. There are also strong academic options, including advanced classes and college prep pathways. The campus feels safe, well-managed, and focused on student development. A new NISD baseball and softball complex was recently built right behind the school, which is a great addition for student athletes. When they first opened up the school it went only up to 7th grade instead of a full middle school.The second year they added 8th grade knowing there was not a lot of room for any of the students and they know this school is small. Another this is the car line it is utterly ridiculous! There are so many students and we the parents need to get to work. The first year the car line was not as bad but the second year OMG they waited to open the doors at 7:15 knowing they have a lot of kids and I just don't understand why they couldn't open it at 7:00 and allow the kids in. Another thing about the school is the teachers especially the middle school teachers they have no respect whatsoever for your kids. My daughter would go and ask her teachers for help when she didn't understand something and they would tell her to go look in the book. How would she go look into the book if she doesn't even know what she's looking at in the book! Another problem with the school is the Admin. They do their job poorly and don't deserve that position whenever there is a situation they don't do anything to resolve the situation. My daughter was body shamed by a kid and she reported the situation and they didn't do anything. Her friend got her parents called for talking without permission yes I understand that students should not call out but is it that necessary to call their parents? My daughter also witnessed a teacher yelling at a special needs student for being g to loud in the hall that poor kid did not deserve that and I can only imagine what else they do to those poor kids in the special classes. All middle school students are forced to learn Latin. The former teacher who was my daughter's teacher who quit his job (gladly) never helped the students, in their personal space, and obviously had no experience working with kids he was a horrible teacher. The problem with the teachers at invictus is that they take advantage of being a teacher who has a higher position and bully's these kids. The community, Royal has taken and turned into a family is nothing short of a blessing especially since we don't have family locally.
