Embrace the redwoods, lakes, the river, and shaded paths all within one park…read more Hands down my favorite regional park in Sonoma County. Come here to escape the chaos of the city. Where the water and trees welcome you with serenity. Come walk the dog, ride your horse, bring your kayak, bring your fishing pole, bring a blanket, have a BBQ in the group picnic area and more. A safe place for children but please always watch them around any body of water. Just on the outskirts of Santa Rosa, Riverfront welcomes you with all of its glory. The trails around the lake a extra wide and flat. Easy for a wheelchair to go round. This is one of my regular spots to escape and intake the beauty of nature. I highly recommend just buying a parking pass to support the parks. If you visit a regional park once a month, it pays for itself.

Treat yourself to an easy 2-mile walk along the lake formed by former quarry. Relatively level,…read moreunless you take one of the detour trails near the entrance. A few benches along the route enable a rest if you're out of shape offer nice views of the lake. Dogs on leash OK -- just pick up after your pet (I only wish equestrians on the trail had the same courtesy, so watch your step!). There's also a picnic area at the trail head, and bathrooms are nearby. There is a day fee for parking, but if you're a local, pick up an annual pass -- it will pay for itself in a few visits.

OBBA!! One of the Best of the Bay Area! Designed by skater pros and built to memorialize 14 year…read moreold Carson Warner- who was an active youth who died young in an off-road 4 wheeler accident, but lived his life fully, a falconer, surfer and nature lover, the park is pristine and on each corner is a bench shaped like a skateboard. The park requires helmet and pads, has a bathroom, water fountains and allows bladers and scooters and has experts to beginners. There's no snacks but the coner store/deli is jsut a block away, just past the Best Western Hotel on Dry Creek. There's a great big oak tree that shades an area where you can get yer gear on, sit and watch or hang out with friends. It's really an example, no A MODEL of how city government and locals can come together and support space for our youth. There's no graffiti and zero tolerance for drugs or violence and signs that say "This is Your Park, Take Care of it" and the kidz and elders do = every time I go there, it makes me smile! I've seen real young kidz and veteran/ experts ride here all toegther no prob'! This park just has a great energy, great feel! This is such a great little park hidden off the beaten path, with nice grass and really nice smooth concrete bowls, (so no bikes here)..the layout is not huge... but just flows ....so sweet, even if you don't skate take your lunch and hang out and watch the talent do their thing, SK8 for LIFE!

I am not going to lie…read more.. There are a lot of under aged smokers and vapers there. I recommend going during school hours. Then you wont have to deal with it. I still give a review because of actual terain of the park
