The one in the back is for members. It's really nice; the price varies depending on when you come. If you're solo or with a small group, there's nothing wrong with sitting in the front. This place was great! Great selection, friendly service at the counter and with the cigars. The regulars in the place treated us like we were from there and they knew us. We grabbed a play off hockey game and talked hockey for a couple of hours too. They do not have alcohol, but they did sell bottles of water cheap though. Byron Cigar Lounge was renovated a few years ago and the face lift looks great. They have an upgraded the cigar selection to include a lot more premium brands. Because of the new and upgraded humidors, the cigar stock stays moist and fresh. There are many different rooms to enjoy your cigar like the sports tv room with lounge and recliner chairs, meeting room and also an outdoor patio. Counter service is always friendly and a good place for the guys to hangout if they don't want to go mall shopping with others. read more

I have actually been an on and off patron of the cigar lounge since it first opened in the late 2000's. It has been through a few different owners since then, but it has only been until the most recent ownership that the lounge feels genuinely unwelcoming. The 4 and 5 star reviews for this place honestly make no sense, especially considering what this establishment used to be like. Prior to the current owner, the cigar lounge was a large yet open lounge where you could sit down anywhere and smoke your cigar, provided you actually bought a cigar from them. There was even a private room with a big poker table you and a couple friends could use if it wasn't already occupied. There was no "day pass" or "membership" you had to purchase simply to enjoy the lounge. The cigar you bought was your cover charge for getting in. Fast forward to today, now you can either sit in the peasant section where you're sitting nearly elbow to elbow, or pony up $300+ per month to sit in the "VIP" section, which is really just a larger version of the "public" lounge. It's nothing special to warrant that cost, it is a medium sized room with leather chairs and TV's. There is no wet bar or alcohol served on the premises...so it's not like you're getting VIP treatment for your "VIP" lounge membership. The truth is, the "VIP" space itself isn't remotely worth the price charged for the right to use it. The vibe has gone from casual and relaxed, to straight up pretentious. I honestly don't understand the value proposition, unless it's simply to charge guys an arm and a leg for a place to smoke their cigar away from the wife. However...being able to afford the membership would probably mean you're making enough money to call some of your own shots around the house. read more

I visited Byron Cigar Lounge on a Friday evening and it was not too busy. The free lounge is big enough to fit 12 people comfortably. The members lounge is quite large with a great atmosphere. Both areas and bathrooms were very clean. There were a WIDE selection of cigars available which I appreciated. Jason, the manager, was awesome and knowledgeable enough to suggest a cigar for me to try, which ended up being my new favorite cigar. The only room for improvement I can suggest is to purchase new(er) lounge chairs for the free lounge area as most of them were ripped apart with stuffing coming out of them. Otherwise, I will be returning often! read more

2020 I visited the a lounge back in it was a typical local cigar store with smoking rooms. I revisited the lounge this past January and I was blown away. The Humidor surrounds the lobby in glass cases with 2 adjoining rooms I for full boxes cigars and the second for the limited reserve sticks. If your I'm Schaumburg IL worth a visit. read more

I ended up here with a friend who said "want to go to the cigar lounge"? Not being a cigar smoker I was surprised how friendly Jason and Mike were. Well, fast forward a few weeks later I've now been three times and have had a few sticks here. Mike went well above and beyond taking his time with me to make me feel welcomed. But Jason (AKA "Rolling Thunder") is the reason I came back a second time. He's a ridiculously nice guy and didn't make me feel intimidated in the least being a noob. I'll certainly visit the next time I'm in town and have an hour to relax here. BTW: the name is now Casa De Montecristo. From what I understand their flagship lounge is in Countryside. They also have a VINTAGE cigar humidor that is out of this world with high functioning humidity control. This cigar lounge has the best ventilation system that evacuates the smoke instantly. Cigars such as Opus X, Davidoff, Padrone, Fuente, Liga Privada just to name a few. By the stick or by the box the friendly staff and gorgeous waitresses await your presence. Open till 11pm nightly and midnight on Friday and Saturday. Many cigar events and MMA fights are a regular here. Outside patio seating also. I live in logan square but I'll drive the commute here after work any day. This place is probably one of the last classic cigar lounges around. The type of place where the hosts will remember that face of yours and welcome you back as if you're one of their own. It's essentially a huge living room with big comfortable leather recliners everywhere. They've got big screens at every corner but you can still find a quiet place to read, work or talk. Cigars are always on point and well maintained. The staff and vibe is consistent in its service and culture. This is a great place and I will continue to do my part in giving them business to keep them around. I traveled into chicago before I moved here quite a bit and always paid them a visit. I am updating my review of this location where as a Floridian who uses Corona Cigar as my business office, and coming here for ~ 3 years when I'm Chicago on business and spending probably $1K on cigars am now told that I need to spend $75 just to go to an area in the lounge where Ive been welcomed for years to plug in computer to catch up on emails and do a little work. Sorry that buying a $30 cigar isn't enough. It was a nice place that felt friendly. No more. Only reason I stayed in area while up here. No more. Thanks for the memories. read more

Just a fantastic place run by great people. A relaxing environment where a person can unwind watch a little TV and enjoy a fresh stick. There are several rooms to relax in and you can find everything from big screens TV's to a area to read quietly to a conference room where you can hold a meeting. I can't say enough about the people who run this place, they are fantastic! I travel a lot and I search out places to sit and enjoy a good cigar, I look forward to coming to Chicago just so I can visit the shop. Keep it up guys! read more

I don't smoke cigars often, but when I do, this is where I want to go to do it! Pretty darn good selection of cigars too! There is a pool table, and big chairs to watch the LCD TV's from. It is relatively expensive as you can certainly get similar cigars online for less money BUT they also give you somewhere to go to smoke instead of having to be in the back yard when it is 10 degrees outside hoping your wife doesn't catch you! Nice place with high ceilings and a decent selection of cigars. Tucked away on the outskirts of Woodfield mall, it isn't to hard to find. They also share a private lot with Jarod's so you won't have to park next to the rabid mall crowd. The owner of this place has a terrific knack for hiring very attractive and young women to tend the cashier and help customers. It makes the experience that much more pleasant as you lounge in one of the many overstuffed armchairs or high top tables. If you'd rather do something while you enjoy your smoke, head on over to the pool table and play a few games, no charge. The only gripe I have about this place is they do not allow any alcoholic beverages inside. No chance to enjoy a few fingers of your favorite whiskey with a stick. This place is closest to me so I frequent it the most. Great ventilation and high ceilings are a huge plus. read more

As you enter "the lounge" on your left you'll find a variety of cigars to choose from. Directly in front of you, you'll see Harry the owner of this joint. Awesome guy and knows his cigars. On your immediate right, you'll see refreshments and around the corner are the restrooms. This lounge is the perfect setting to work or casually relax. There are lots of comfortable sofas and tables in each room, yes there are lots of rooms you can choose from. I forgot to mention T.V. in the main lounge area. Awesome low key place to enjoy a cigar with friends. Very conveniently located next to Woodfield mall with plenty of free parking. The place has a huge humidor with a ton of cigars to choose from. I tend to go and try something different there every time I go. They sell soft drinks and have free coffee there. The place is quite spacious with 4 rooms. Two of the rooms have big screens with different sport events (or whatever people want to watch), another room has a nice long table with comfy chairs where I guess people can host meetings from, lastly the other room doesn't have tv's but just tables and chairs for people to enjoy their cigar. Every time I am there I enjoy the place more and more.... wish it was closer to me so I could visit it more often! read more

This place is great! I go here with my friends and we haved a smoke and play cards in a private room they have. We smoke, watch sports, and relax. Everything is very comfortable expect in the winter it can get very very smokey. Their smoke eaters don't do enough. Visited recently with a friend of mine and was a bit disappointed. Pluses - they have a great selection of cigars, and it's a large lounge with pool tables and lots of TVs. Part of the "vibe" is the young ladies that work there - dressed somewhat like a Hooters girl in high-heels the night we went. I really don't care that they want that vibe, but when I buy a Padron Anniversary, she needs to know how to cut a cigar. Didn't raise a fuss since I was with a friend I haven't seen in years. When we went to sit down (it was about 5:30 at night), there were only a couple of other guys in the place, but most of the ashtrays were overflowing. There were 2 young ladies working there who were playing on their Mac laptop on the sofa rather than worrying about keeping the shop in shape. I'm not demanding when it comes to a cigar lounge - know how to cut my cigar, and empty the ashtrays now and then. Unfortunately, the night we visited, they let me down on both. It could have been a bad night, but at the prices they charge, they need to step up their game. read more
