Couldn't give a zero rating. The person started off polite saying he didn't have any cabs and just hung up. Totally unprofessional and rude.

Used them for years never had a problem, all the drivers seem to courteous always a fair price and would choose them to come maybe I'm old school I don't even understand the Uber much less know how to use them and like I could just pick up a phone and say I'm here on the corner and I need to go to another place?? read more

I wrote this review from Yelp Mobile because I was sitting here waiting for this taxi to show up and needed something to captivate my attention and prevent myself from going postal on a human being. I dialed the dispatcher approximately 50 minutes before my train, allotting enough time for him to arrive, take me to the train (a 10 minute drive from where I was located), and for me to purchase a ticket. After about 30 minutes, I called again because my taxi had not yet arrived. The dispatcher assured me that the taxi was en route and he would be there shortly. "Shortly" translated to 15 minutes after my second phone call. My taxi finally arrived, but I was also late for the train. At this time of day, trains only run once an hour, thus complicating the schedule I had planned for myself for the day. The taxis no longer say "Bynum" on them; they go by the name "Hudson Valley Car Company" or something along that vein. Looks like it's time to find another taxi company... read more

A friend had recommended Bynum to me for rides around the Peekskill area, so I thought I would give it a try. Pros: -They said they would show up in 15 minutes, and they arrived perfectly on time. -They sent two drivers - one rode shotgun. I felt more safe with two people in the car. -The two people there were very friendly and pleasant to talk to. -They took me straight home - no zigzagging all over town to draw out the fair. -They told me how much the ride would cost up front. -They had exact change for me when I paid cash. Cons: -The dispatcher was SUCH a JERK. He gave me an attitude when I called to request a cab. While I was walking outside to get into the cab, he called me. Since the cab was right in front of me, I didn't pick up. He left a really nasty voicemail for me on my phone. When I got into the cab, the driver called the dispatcher to ask for my destination. The dispatcher had an attitude with the driver, and seemed pissed off that I didn't pick up my phone. The driver was annoyed with him back. I don't appreciate being treated like an idiot. This is enough to keep me from using this cab company again in the future. They could work on their customer service. read more

Worst cab ride of my life! I called at 2:20 and had to call the company three times to let them know that the guy didn't show up. By the time the guy showed up thirty minutes later, he had a three other passengers. By the time he dropped them off and got me to work, I was 10 minutes late. some of the worst service I've encountered. the first time i called for a taxi to the train, i told them what train i needed to make, they said 10 minutes. 35 minutes later, someone shows up saying they have to pick someone up in 'the area'. a 10 minute drive later, we pick up another passenger. I missed TWO trains. second time, I called to order in advance - first thing he says is that he doesn't have any taxis to Peekskill right now. I tell him I want to order one; i dont need it for another 30 minutes or so, he says, 'call back'. I say, "But I actually NEED the cab to be here in 30 minutes." Unreliable scum of the earth. While I know this business thrives on necessity and desperation rather than professionalism and reliability this company went above and beyond to make me miserable. The sadist behind the wheel showed up twenty minutes late with no change for a ten dollar bill. She drove at glacial pace to a deli where she made me go in and get change for her. I heard the train roaring in as I threw the cash in the cab. If it weren't for the rage and adrenaline pumping through my veins as I sprinted to the platform, I would've missed the train to take me to work. I couldn't buy a ticket so I had to purchase one at an exorbitant price on the train. This company has cost me more than they're worth in money and now time in writing this review, but hopefully this should help other potential victims find a ride elsewhere. read more

I don't know what to say, I called at 2:10 to request a ride to the Peekskill train station. The dispatcher said "20 minutes", the driver showed up an hour and thirty minutes late and got bent out of shape that I didn't want the ride anymore. read more

These guys suck. They tell you 10 minutes then keep you waiting and waiting and waiting. I will NEVER call them again and you shouldn't either. If you are going to be 20 minutes tell me 20 minutes. If you are going to be 30 minutes tell me 30 minutes. If I could rate them 0 stars, I would. I HIGHLY recommend you call someone else unless you like being late. Wow! What a terror ride! I live in Cortlandt Manor and the local Mavis Tire store gave me their number for a ride home because I had to leave my car for 4 hours. The female driver was there in 5 minutes that was impressive. But that was the last good impression. She was talking a mile a minute while texting on her flip phone while speeding and driving recklessly. She cut through a shopping center parking lot to avoid the next traffic light and almost hit someone walking to the store. She then slowed down, not to say sorry but to curse him out for giving her the evil eye. All the while saying she was waiting for her boyfriend to respond to her texts. She took a wrong turn and when I said "I live that way" Her response was no, I know where I'm going. When I got home I signed up for Uber and even though I live out in the burbs I got an Uber ride back to pick up my car for the same price in a clean/safe car with a nice driver. I told the manager of Mavis to not give out this Taxi company's number. read more
