Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). The small job was to add a wooden step around an existing wood deck. This is where everything fell apart. The planks were laid at different distances apart. The paint bubbled in numerous places. The Redwood they said they used, has split down the center of some pieces. Josef was responsive to my complaints and sent out the worker to repair. This happened 3 times. He repaired the wood cracks with "bondo". There are so many layers of paint, it's peeling off. I gave this company one year and 3 attempts to make this step look as it should. It's now been almost 1.5 years and now it's time to let the world know...DO NOT HIRE WAY TO GO BUILDERS for any wood projects. You will be wasting your money. I'm attaching pictures.

The construction wasn't bad at all, they had plenty of guys working on our home at the same time. The only time there was no work, was on inspection days. The finishes was one thing that was extremely important for us. My wife and I are detail oriented and wanted to make sure we're choosing the right company to do the finish work correctly. I had a rough vision in mind for fitting a lot into a relatively small space, but wanted to see the options rendered so I could better make the big layout and design decisions. Alexis was very patient and super helpful in mocking up each iteration until we locked in the final design. Once it was time to actually break ground, Gil, Oren, Uriel, and the rest of the team were really responsive and always available by text. Unlike previous contractors we've worked with, they usually gave us an idea of what was happening the next day/week and who to expect onsite. The first ~70% of the project went really smoothly and far exceeded my expectations. Demo, framing, rough plumbing, and electrical all largely went without a hitch. We ran into some problems towards the end around communication, timeline, and subcontractor oversight -- which led to more delays when someone punctured our new in-wall toilet tank and flooded both the bathroom and bedroom. We know every construction job runs into challenges so we weren't bent out of shape by it, and we did appreciate that GHB took full responsibility for fixing the issues. By and large we were really impressed by most of their subcontractors, especially the very professional and considerate plumbing, electrical, and tiling teams! After living with our new bathroom for a while now, we can definitely say it was worth the wait, and such a huge improvement over our previous dysfunctional layout. More than five stars!…read more Succinctly, we met with three or four companies to get an estimate all of whom were pleasant but, somehow, did not seem as though they were listening to what we wanted. It was different with Ammar of Kitchen Cabinet Express, Inc. After a brief introduction and a short discussion of our intentions, he got right to the point, walking with my wife, measuring and making notes and asking questions. What resulted was a reasonable estimate for the work to be done and a plan and drawings that exactly reflected our wishes. The deadline for completion was originally set for the middle of March 2026 but was completed two weeks early. Members of Ammar's team and contractors were professional, conscientious, and hard working. They showed up on time, accomplished what was scheduled for each day. As work progressed, we desired some minor changes which Ammar and his team were very flexible and responsive in accomplishing professionally and quickly. At every point - daily work and especially at the conclusion - the site was cleaned up immaculately and all detritus was hauled away instantly. Also, a great deal of care was taken to mask, cover, and protect the house, furniture, and existing fixtures from the dust and soiling that was occasioned by the remodeling work! This review is being written a month after completion as we wanted to take our time to let the "newness" wear off and appraise the overall experience. After this time for evaluation, we find the craftsmanship flawless, the cabinets and showers and baths installed beautifully and -- overall -- the incorporation into our existing home has greatly upgraded the whole affair.
