While I tried so hard to make breastfeeding work, it just wasn't in the plans for my little guy and me. This was tough to accept and the early days of adjusting to motherhood, sleeping in chunks of 1-2 hours, and pumping around the clock did not help to fill me with the joy some women experience upon having a baby. The first few months were full of pain, infection, blocked ducts, frustration, confusion. Claire was one of the few people who did not judge me and helped as much as she could. I met with her face-to-face and we also communicated via phone and email. She never tried to force me to breastfeed, which I feared, and she shared anecdotes and many tips with me. My ambitious goal was to make it to 3 months and holy crap, my kid will soon turn 8 months old. Motherhood is some tough shizzzzz. But Claire can make it better, with her expertise and massive empathy. If you have Aetna insurance, you'll be in for a treat!
