Upon arrival, I was really concerned what I got myself into. The front of this so-called hotel is…read morereally ran down. No one is around. Everything is done remotely out of Texas, they open the doors by sending a code that they email you when you can actually check in. At first, I was able to use the Wi-Fi in order to work. There is no cell service whatsoever. Around 6:37 AM p.m. the Wi-Fi completely shut down. No communication whatsoever no TV. Nothing I was unable to work the entire night. At 3:15 AM the long-term neighbor, the lights to talk to a very young lady like it's one of his buddies at the bar slams the screen door to go out to his car and then does it again going back in. There is no place to hang your clothes, no chair, no desk nothing but a bed, a tiny refrigerator that appears to have something that has died in the freezer. Upon departure there was still no Wi-Fi. I attempted to call the people in Texas once I got to Salida Colorado and had to leave a message. I do have to say the room was clean. The little sink was plugged up, the water shower was hot, but the tub is extremely slippery. The back of the hotel is an RV park that have a number of seriously ran down RVs parked and then the Arkansas River which flows very nicely behind that. For the price that they charged over $100 it is not worth it I would highly recommend that you go down the road and find something else.

There are miles and miles of fishing and rafting and canoeing and plenty of state parks right by the river within a few miles. We can not thank Rocky Top enough for having us and their hospitality during a time when we were pressed for time and place was fantastic.

Took a bit but finally got his address which I googled. Found out he was a dealer, and read his reviews. It confirmed what I was thinking about his one word reply's (he's a asshole). Clearly he's got plenty of business (just not mine). Definitely not a people person. Weird he choose dealing with people as a career. Read your reviews people it may save you . He has the camper I want and is willing to sell it for what I'll pay. I just won't do business with someone who doesn't appreciate the people who pay his bills. Good luck to you buddy, you need it.

I'm writing this review in hopes that it might help someone else avoid having the same sort of…read morenegative, costly experience I had with this company. I hired this company to install an inverter and a battery monitor into my brand new travel trailer, and the work that they performed was careless at best, and potentially a dangerous fire hazard. When you hire someone who is supposedly a professional, you generally expect them to do at least as good of a job as you could do yourself, but this was definitely not my experience with Aspen RVs. The first issue I discovered had to do with the number of circuits that they connected to the inverter. When I dropped off my trailer, I discussed with owner Matthew Simpson that I would like to have the inverter installed so that it powered all of the circuits in my trailer with the exception of the air conditioner and the microwave oven. When I arrived to pick up my trailer I was informed that they were only able to wire up one circuit to the inverter because it could only be connected to circuits protected by a GFCI. I was not happy about this, but I let it go. After I got the trailer home, I decided that it might be a good idea to take a closer look at the work they performed and I'm sure glad I did. I opened up the compartment where they had mounted the inverter and noticed that the positive cable connection to the inverter had a lot of electrical tape wound around it. It looked really sloppy so I decided to take a closer look. That's when I noticed that the positive cables were not firmly attached to the inverter. The cables were completely loose! This is a very high current connection and the inverter's installation manual clearly states that these connections need to be torqued tightly. A loose connection here is a potential FIRE HAZARD, and this is very clearly called out in the installation manual. I was shocked that anyone that considers themselves a professional would make such a serious mistake. I wish I could give them the benefit of the doubt, but someone left the cable loose and wrapped it up with electrical tape! Bear in mind that this inverter was installed directly below our bed, so any fire could have been a very dangerous situation indeed! Upon further inspection, I discovered the reason that the connection had been left loose. The connection attaches to the inverter with a stud and nut. Evidently, they lost the metric sized nuts that came with the inverter, and tried to force imperial sized nuts on the studs! The nut was just barely threaded onto the stud and was clearly the incorrect size for the stud. After discovering how they had left the positive cable, I started inspecting the negative side. There was one cable that attached to the negative side of the inverter and a smaller cable that was just left touching the lug of the main cable and wrapped up with a lot of electrical tape. Again I was shocked that anyone would think this was an adequate way to make an electrical connection! I unwrapped the electrical tape and found the stud on the electrical side was shorter than the positive side. Evidently they forced the wrong size nut on and ended up having to grind the stud down to clean the threads up. A trip to Ace Hardware could have identified that this was a metric size stud. Instead, they just took a grinder to the stud and now it is barely long enough to thread a nut halfway on. Unbelievable! I discovered many other problems and ended up re-wiring most of it myself. I sent an email to the owner Matthew Simpson detailing the issues I found, but never received a response. I was so very hopeful when I discovered Aspen RV's especially given all of the great reviews I read online, but I was extremely disappointed with the work that was performed on my trailer and feel like I got royally screwed for over $3400. I would not recommend this company to do any type of electrical work on an RV.

They answered the phone, were polite, and very helpful. Showed up Monday morning, they were polite, funny , helpful. They had all the stuff we needed to keep safe and dry. The special ATV style sunglasses helped keep dirt out of our eyes. The gloves and ponchos were nice to keep us warm in the morning. That had a huge selection of full face helmets. They even recommended that we take only one atv, saving us money and still having a great trip. Their shop is full of atvs, you could take all your buddies no problem. Dave and Dave were pleasant and guided a great trip through the hills. We spent 5 hours with Dave and had a great time. The ATV worked great. No issues there. The scenery was nice, and he checked on us often to make sure we're were safe, rested, and informed. We had a BLAST. Not sure why the other bad review, these gentlemen were just right for a motorized romp on the trails. Thanks Dave and Dave.

Rockhound ATV was some-what disapointing. Leading up the trip, communication with them was bit…read moredifficult as they were not reliable/quick in replying to emails or answering phone calls, but everything did eventually work out with the reservation. Additonally, when I did speak with them on the phone, they were very aggressive/mean about my questions, they implied that I was rediculous to be asking about riding longer than 4hrs and i quote: "now you listen to me, I'll ride your assess off, dont worry about that". I didn't really know how to respond to their gruff/aggresive tone over the phone, but I was still willing to go with the reservation. Then came the day of the rides. Overall, we had a great time, but this was almost "in-spite" of Rockhound. The best parts of the day riding were the views and terrian, riding in Pike's Nat'l forest is breath-taking! With regards to our guide, he was VERY VERY slow and when we asked about riding faster on the straight/flat sections, he yelled at us "no going over 20mph!". We didnt ask about riding more aggressively after that, but it was almost painful to be stuck riding behind our guide. All of us knew what we were doing, and within 1hr he should have been able to sense our comfort-levels and ability, and allowed us to ride faster. I felt like we were on a calm sight-seeing trip, not a fun/thrilling ATV ride. Now, I understand that Rockhound could have incentive to make us go slow the entire time, as the machines could be broken or we could get hurt. But here is why that its a not a good arguement, upon arrival, we had to sign waiver forms stating any injuries we sustained would not be Rockhound's fault. Additonally, we had to give them a $650 (!!!) deposit for any possible damage to the ATVs. This is what really upsets me, i signed a form saying I would have to pay for parts and labor to any damage i created, and i would have to take responsibility for any injuries i sustained...so...I SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO RIDE HOWEVER I WANT! The most upsetting part of the whole thing was how mis-leading it was. Leading up the trip, the owner, ATV Dave was telling me over the phone "dont worry about it, we will ride your assess off", when i called with the original plan to rent the ATVs for 8hrs, with no guide and ride on our own...so i listened to him, and changed our plans to the 4hr guided-tour, and then when we go there, they made us ride slow, they scolded us for "sling-shotting" to try and make it fun and just overall didnt live up the promise of a fun/thrilling ride. I wish I hadn't listend to them and just stuck with my instinct on renting the ATVs to ride on our own. Even if you arent familiar with the area, if you got a map and went to Pike's Natl forest on your own, you'd have a lot lot more fun.
