Highly recommend this clean & friendly stop. One of the better area Visitors Centers I've been to... as friendly staff, clean bathrooms & clever Idaho tourist gizmos abound. EV charging stations are right outside the entrance, as well as plenty of photo ops all around the outside of the center. Accessibility is ok, w/ramps on the side of the bldg. Enjoy the view of the bridge on the outside, & enjoy the ac or heat on the inside!

    The view from the top!

Friendly visitor center employees, along with some of the best views of the Snake River area that you'll ever see in your life thanks to the observation deck. As a former base jumper and US Army paratrooper, I take great appreciation in traveling to an area well known for being jumper friendly to those that love taking the plunge off of the Perrine Bridge. Although I'm more of a spectator (and critic) of today's parachuting activities and equipment, its worth taking the time of admiring one of Southern Idaho's natural beauties- the two golf courses at the bottom, Evil Knievel's ramp launch on the far right side, the historic Perrine Bridge, and the majestic natural design of the canyon itself. Close to a 2 hour drive from Boise and in close proximity to the beautiful Sun Valley area, this visitor center is on the right side of the highway upon entering Twin Falls. Let them know where you are from, with hopes of returning once again the near or distant future. I certainly did!

Definitely recommend stopping here on your way through! This place is super pet friendly and pets are even welcome inside the visitor center. There are overlooks and lovely views of the bridge. So glad we stopped!

Such a fun place to visit! The bridge and snake river are so beautiful. We probably watched the base jumpers jump the bridge for an hour. It was such a spectacular site to see. The visitor center is super nice. We enjoyed looking at all the photos and reading about the history of the bridge. We enjoyed the variety in the gift shop and bought several things! We hope to be back again someday!

A must see in Twin Falls besides the waterfall! We went right when people we jumping off the bridge with parachutes. I wish yelp could upload videos cause it was interesting and amazing to witness it! I drove to Twin Falls in the middle of the night, so I had no idea I drove on this bridge to the city. When I saw it in the morning, I was amazed that the canyon was so expansive and wide. It was giant and such a beautiful sight! We also saw a cute white kitty!! He or she was right over the stone barrier and a few feet away it appeared somebody made him a little home with a blanket draped over some rocks.

Really enjoyed stopping in here. The place has lots of fun Idaho swag and the woman working was very helpful. We got our required Idaho state sticker since we collect a sticker everywhere we go. They have very clean restrooms, ample parking and lots of paths to explore outside with easy bridge access.

The views from this area are spectacular! We walked around the paved trail, enjoyed the views and learned some history about the area. We got the chance to watch people base jumping from the bridge. The visitor center has lots of information, staff to answer your questions and a wagon on display, clean bathrooms are available, big parking lot and EV charging stations.

Driving over this bridge I was compelled to stop and take some pictures and I was pleasantly surprised they have walkways down under the bridge from BOTH sides so you can go under and get some nice views of the river and the valley below. Sunset was a nice time to really see the bridge "light up" the way the sun hit it was very pretty. I didn't see the visitor center but getting up close and personal under the bridge was good enough for me.

MUST stop! The Views are AWESOME and watching the base jumpers is AMAZING! Stop in the visitor center, grab a FREE coffee and walk the trails; the views are breathtaking, the base jumpers are so fun to watch, view the Evel Knievel plaque (Roadside America) and the Twins statue! This is a must while traveling through Boise. Lots of RV parking and walking to restaurants/stores.

Woohoo!! As good as it gets! Twin Falls, ID is "The BASE Jumping Capital of the World"!! That's what the sign on the building said when we entered the parking area. What is BASE jumping? BASE is an acronym that stands for Building, Antenna, Span, and Earth. These are the objects from which people jump off of with the use of a parachute. It's a sport that maybe someday I'll try for myself. I believe the Perrine Bridge is the only man made structure in the United States where base jumping is allowed all year without needing a permit! Well, I have to say that this is one of the best visitor centers areas that I've ever been to! So glad, we did not miss it. There was a lot of construction going on in the area. You would have to do a detour to enter the visitor center. There was also a lot of traffic in the area, but because of the detour there was hardly anyone stopping here to check out the Perrine Bridge. The Perrine Bridge is actually a four lane bridge which has U.S. Highway 93 running over it. Ours was one of only 3 vehicles who stopped at the Buzz Langdon Visitor Center. It was 2pm!! The views of the Perrine Bridge, the Snake River, and the canyon walls were awesome!! The viewing area was very cool. You could see everything from there. There was even a golf course on the other side of the river. There is also a path that you could go on to check out more viewpoints. There is a nice little gift shop where we bought a couple of souvenirs at a fair price. There is a separate smaller building for the restrooms. The only negative thing was that there was no one BASE jumping while we were visiting. The day that we were there, it was very windy! The ladies at the visitor center told us that someone was going to jump that afternoon, but because of the high winds...he had to cancel. Too bad, it would have been so cool to witness!! Still, I highly recommend stopping here when you're in the area!!! The views are spectacular!! Make sure you bring your camera to capture the memories!! Enjoy!

Lots of beautiful vistas of the Perrine Bridge and the Snake River Gorge from the overlook. Often, boaters and kayakers can be seen below in the river. The name of the bridge came from pioneer Ira Burton Perrine who helped settle and develop the Twin Falls area.

    Eh?

This is more about what's in the area, rather than the actual visitor center, but that place is nice too. There's a paved path along the canyon to get excellent views of the Snake River and if you're lucky, you'll catch some crazy bastard doing a gainer off the Perrine Bridge. I would actually visit this area again if I find myself in Idaho for some odd reason just for these views. That golf course down in the valley makes me want to learn how to play...

Wow, easy beautiful hike…read more A great friend moved to Twin Falls recently and I had to visit. On a Friday afternoon she recommended this fantastic hike. We parked at a paved small lot off Pole Line and Eastland Drive N. The trail head is well marked. The approximately 3 mile path from here to the Shoshone Falls Park is 12 feet wide and paved. Hikers, joggers, bicyclists and dogs on leash are all welcomed. From the parking lot the elevation doesn't change much for the first 2 miles. The last mile declines into the Shoshone Falls Park. So remember you'll have to hike uphill a while to return to your car. The trail winds through a housing development and a few pastures. Edging the south rim of the Snake River about 500 feet down. Step off the trail and enjoy the occasional bench to take in the magnificent rock colors and formations. Slowly the falls will start to appear and you'll hear the low rumble of the water crashing to the pool below. There a couple of observation platforms just off trail. They are easy to find and get to. At the end of the trail we descended into the park. Here we spent time reading the history kiosks and getting close up shots of the falls. We took our time and savored all the sites for almost three hours. Also along the trail we walked past the Evel Kinevel launch site from 1974. That brought back memories. The views will vary on the time of year and the water flow. We enjoyed a partly cloudy day with some gusty winds. It was still fabulous. I will do this trail every time I visit. No restrooms along the trail. There are some at the falls in the park, along with a small refreshment stand.

There is also a creek overlook trail that you can venture off too - up to a certain point, vehicles are no longer allowed. Would have loved to spend more time at this park! Has everything you need - water, electricity, showers, restrooms, hiking trails, dog friendly and scenic views. Self registration is available for those that book last minute. Self registration booth is located about a mile or so before reaching the campsite loop. It will be hard to spot. Other nearby sections include...Niagara Springs, Box Canyon Springs and Ritter Island. For visiting Malad Gorge, yes...you do have pleasant surroundings from high above. But the frequently talked about highlight for coming here is getting to see Devil's Washbowl. Devil's Washbowl is a 150 foot waterfall splashing down into the Snake River that cuts between the canyon gorge. All you have to do is walk a short pathway from the parking lot (1/4 of a mile) to an overlook vista point to catch the best glimpses of Devil's Washbowl. ***But, here was my problem...Devil's Washbowl was so far off into the distance, it's virtually impossible to get a quality photo of (if you're using your phone and not a professional camera). That was disappointing. If you simply view Devil's Washbowl with your own eyes, it can be nice. It can be dramatic. But I was expecting to be standing a lot closer to the waterfall and this distant lookout point was a letdown because I had high expectations after getting to see other colorful waterfalls around Thousand Springs. It takes 2 minutes to watch Devil's Washbowl from the observation point. If you'd like, you can continue along the 2.5 mile walking pathway from high above the gorge, but there's not much to see. Extras to mention... - When walking over to Devil's Washbowl vista point, you cross over a footbridge beside I-84. Although it is noisy outside from the passing cars on the highway, the views looking down through the gorge were picturesque. Plus, Devil's Washbowl is actually located right underneath this footbridge. So...if you're not afraid of heights and don't mind leaning over the bridge, you can get a closer view of the falls standing on top of them. But, during my research, I read it was still difficult taking pictures from atop the footbridge. I didn't attempt this because if I ever somehow dropped my phone, I'd have problems, lol. - It's $7 day use entry for visiting Malad Gorge SP. But, this $7 is good at the other units as well like Box Canyon, Ritter Island and Niagara Springs...the parks that I stopped at for the day. - Devil's Washbowl is located off to the right hand side when you enter Malad Gorge SP. There's a roughly 5 mile scenic loop road you can drive around the park. It offers different viewpoints of the gorge, but nothing will get you closer to Devil's Washbowl than the primary lookout point beside the footbridge. Off to the left hand side when entering is a large picnic pavilion with plenty of grass. In the end, Malad Gorge State Park is a quick visit. I know I've said this before in many prior reviews where I don't have the most fulfilling experiences, I'd just relay to others to maybe temper expectations when seeing Devil's Washbowl. It's not so special and I found better opportunities at nearby waterfalls...Lemmon Falls, Minnie Miller Springs and Box Canyon Springs.
