Picnic area - Take a left from main parking area and go allllll the way to the end.

This stop is absolutely worth the $5 per car fee. The road down into the canyon is twisty. A small RV can do it, but I wouldn't haul a trailer down. Tight curves. People were directing traffic to park straight ahead but we turned left toward the picnic area. Drive almost to the trailhead- There are several parking spots in the dirt there, some in shade. Bring a picnic. There are a few tables in the sun. Most people found shady spots on the ground under trees. Walk toward the river for views of these beautiful waterfalls. There are several viewing platforms. Three are here - one is wheelchair accessible. Maybe two, but it's a steep incline. A small snack shack is here and behind that is some information boards. If you walk up the dirt trails past these info kiosks you will access another, higher, viewing platform. Climb higher to connect with the main trail and another viewing platform. Or just begin at the trail head and miss all the crowds below. Parking seems to be 'where ever you dare'. Did not look for restrooms so unsure about those. Grassy areas over look the falls where you can chill a while and enjoy the sounds. Trailhead is at the end of the road past the picnic area.

So, I am the genius this park on Labor Day weekend during a heatwave, but I still feel like I am giving it some grace. Despite the crowds and the overwhelming, warm weather, I think my biggest disappointment with our visit was the staff. We waited over 40 minutes in a line of cars just to get into the park and the gentleman taking the cash at the front was honestly kind of a creep to me. The "security" woman on the cart driving around also seemed to be in way over her head and the staff at the snack shack consisted of a couple of annoyed teenagers. But outside of my interactions with the staff, I had a fairly enjoyable time. I highly recommend visiting this park now that it's after Labor Day and they will no longer be charging an entrance fee. You can get a decent view of the falls and learn a little bit about the history of the area. You can also enjoy a picnic or a bike ride. Just be careful as I did sit in dog feces and have to go back to the car and change my clothes! Outside of the falls view, there's really nothing too special about this park, but it's definitely a nice stop if you're in the area.

This is an incredible park to visit. There is a ton of space for picnics or in my case just taking a look at the falls. Unfortunately this time of year means that there was virtually no flow over the falls. Still a beautiful site though. Parking is easy with loads of spots on the falls level. I'm guessing during higher water flow it gets pretty full. Is it worth the entrance fee? IMO, yes.

Very cool waterfall in Idaho. I drove here from SLC so it was a treck but worth it! Small fee to enter the area. Once inside there is a lot of parking and some trails you can walk. There's also clean restrooms and a small gift shop area with snacks and souvenirs. I visited in August, on a weekday, so there was no line to enter.

We had no idea these falls existed, we got bored in Boise and looked for something to do during our long layover. The $5 per car fee is worth it, beautiful falls, very underrated.

Just a small example of the beauty

This is a Amazing wonderful place to visit I lived in idaho from 1993 to 2017 this was my favorite place to go or visit. Here are some pictures I taken of it hope you enjoy them. 5 stars for the wonderful and amazing area. This is something some one should put on a bucket list. If I ever back in idaho I will be visiting shoshone falls always. It's the Niagara falls of the west hands down. Thank you

Stunning place. I wish the view point could go out even further but pictures really don't do it justice. This place is a must see!

The $5 per vehicle entrance fee is worth every dollar. The views are incredible, and the park is clean. There is a gift shop, snack bar, and restrooms. There is also plenty of grass for picnics.

Such a beautiful pit stop for me and the family. $5 fee cash only to go up and see the lookout and the viewing area. The multiple waterfall views were so amazing. I am so sad about all the liter and trash dumped everywhere. What a shame that ppl abuse these beautiful landscapes. They also had a kiosk that should merchandise, souvenirs, and snacks!

I understand that going to a big attraction, it will get big crowds . The line to get in 4/27/24 1pm was about a half hour long. It was $5 to get in and they were not keeping track of the ratio of cars leaving the park to cars entering. This was stressful. Lots of honking , waiting and people ready to fight for a spot. People were parking in non designated spots and were getting tickets. After circling a couple times with no spots opening up my husband had us get out of the car, take some pictures and come back. I didn't spend much time here but the view was pretty. I thought going before summer would be less crowded..., nope. The lake at the next exit didn't have too many people there. It was pretty and easier to view and relax.

The Shoshone Falls - aka "The Niagara of the West" - are a must if you're visiting southern Idaho - the scenery is positively breathtaking and majestic! We visited in early March of 2023 and it was snowing on our first visit. Made it very fairy-take like - just incredible! Then the clouds broke and the sun came out on our second visit and the scenery changed completely!! I even managed to catch a rainbow at the base of the falls! Another unexpected treat is the Snake River Canyon dramatically weaving its way to the left of the falls! It's so much bigger than I expected wow! There are all sorts of birds flying around and marmots everywhere - such a lovely park. There are tons of smaller waterfalls trickling down all the rock-faces and in early March they were frozen! Really cool to see. Apparently Spring is the best time to see the falls but my understanding is you have to catch them before they divert the snowmelt waters for irrigation. I think we were still a tad early as it was snowy and cold. But it was still 100% worth it! There's so much history here - these falls mark the upper limit of fish migration and were an important place for the Native Americans here. Lots of explorers passed through as they made their way to the Oregon Trail. And Evil Knievel even tried to jump the river nearby and you can walk to the old jump wire haha! So many stories! There are trails along the canyon rim but we weren't able to walk them bc of the mud. We tried but the mud was unbearably thick and was just caked onto us and weighing us down lol. Maybe next time! The falls are near the town of Twin Falls which makes a great base - there's lots of hotels and shops and restaurants there. And the falls are less than 3 hours drive from Salt Lake City. There's tons of parking up at the top entrance and also lots more down at the bottom closer to the falls. The road down to the main viewpoint is narrow and windy and slick in the snow so be extra careful. There are bathrooms down by the viewpoint but they're closed in winter. They did have a port-a-potty up at the top entrance though.

Huge, gorgeous falls and a variety of viewpoints. You can choose to hike a bit, bring a picnic, or just walk from viewpoint to viewpoint and take in the beauty and power of this place. The parking is limited and messy- we parked away from the main area and had better luck, but it seemed like too many people were let in at the same time and a long line of cars formed. $5 entry is totally worth it though.

Perrine Coulee Falls is located right in the heart of town in Twin Falls, Idaho. One afternoon I was grabbing lunch at McDonalds, and next I was driving 1 mile away and witnessing this 200 foot waterfall plunge. It's that easy. There are about 6 - 7 spaces for cars to pull off Canyon Springs Road to park. If they are all filled up, you can drive lower down the road near Twin Falls Waterfront Park and leave your car there and then walk back up to the waterfall. Once here, there's a circular pathway going around and underneath the falls. So, you have multiple opportunities from different angles to admire the views no matter where you may be standing. Perrine Coulee Falls splashes down into a corner of the Snake River Canyon. It's this tucked away waterfall, but on display for everyone to see, and free of charge. Looking up at the waterfall, it's like an action packed adrenaline punch hitting you in the face. The free fall drop can be inspiring. Extra Notes... - The waterfall flows year round but is more forceful in spring and summer times with snow melting. - There's nowhere to swim. - The backdrop looking away from the waterfall is impressive. There's a beautiful golf course located right beside the falls. In fact, while you're teeing off at one of the holes, you can easily view Perrine Coulee Falls. - Down at the base of Canyon Springs Road is Twin Falls Waterfront Park where you can do rafting, kayaking or paddle boarding along the Snake River. Also, Perrine Memorial Bridge is nearby where brave souls base jump, free fall and parachute down from the top of the 486 foot bridge. It's an incredible setting for getting a firsthand glimpse into base jumping. - You only need 20 - 25 minutes here at Perrine Coulee Falls. It's such a pleasant and easy stop. - I came on by at the end of July around 3pm and there were just a few people here. It never got too busy at any single moment and there was enough spacing between myself and others to grab undisturbed pictures. But, don't quote me on when people decide to visit, lol. Overall, what else can I say? If you are a waterfall enthusiast, you will love checking out Perrine Coulee Falls. And not only that, it's the entire state of Idaho. Not many people I know of explore this under the radar state, but there are some mighty dramatic waterfalls located throughout and if you have the time, you'll appreciate what the "potato state" has to offer :)

Wow, easy beautiful hike…read more A great friend moved to Twin Falls recently and I had to visit. On a Friday afternoon she recommended this fantastic hike. We parked at a paved small lot off Pole Line and Eastland Drive N. The trail head is well marked. The approximately 3 mile path from here to the Shoshone Falls Park is 12 feet wide and paved. Hikers, joggers, bicyclists and dogs on leash are all welcomed. From the parking lot the elevation doesn't change much for the first 2 miles. The last mile declines into the Shoshone Falls Park. So remember you'll have to hike uphill a while to return to your car. The trail winds through a housing development and a few pastures. Edging the south rim of the Snake River about 500 feet down. Step off the trail and enjoy the occasional bench to take in the magnificent rock colors and formations. Slowly the falls will start to appear and you'll hear the low rumble of the water crashing to the pool below. There a couple of observation platforms just off trail. They are easy to find and get to. At the end of the trail we descended into the park. Here we spent time reading the history kiosks and getting close up shots of the falls. We took our time and savored all the sites for almost three hours. Also along the trail we walked past the Evel Kinevel launch site from 1974. That brought back memories. The views will vary on the time of year and the water flow. We enjoyed a partly cloudy day with some gusty winds. It was still fabulous. I will do this trail every time I visit. No restrooms along the trail. There are some at the falls in the park, along with a small refreshment stand.

His parachute prematurely deployed as the Skycycle left the launching rail but winds caused him to drift into the canyon. At the bottom, he landed near the water. If he landed in the water, he probably would have drowned, due to a jumpsuit/harness malfunction the kept him strapped in the vehicle. Surprisingly, he survived the jump with minor injuries. At the city's visitors center, Knievel's supporters erected a monument to their hero with a carved likeness of the rocket motorcycle.
