Overstock Outlets are essentially liquidation/discount style stores with an ever-changing inventory that includes anything from furniture to diapers, trampolines, toys, coolers, and legit more. In our trip to this location, we didn't have a list, just a piqued curiosity of their current inventory. They had a good selection of indoor and outdoor furniture, along with a wide variety of household appliances, home decor, cabinets, storage bins, dining sets, mattresses, mowers, power tools and a mix of a few other random items. The store is in an old plaza and shows its age. The exterior isn't the most welcoming, but I will say that our experience inside was not what was expected from the outside. It was a bit better than expected. Service was friendly. The cashier/associate was helpful and available as needed. We laid eyes on a few things, and ultimately bought a smokeless wood fire pit that was around $100 after discount...which is a great price! Overall, this was our first time at this Overstock Outlet and while it may not be our last, we do enjoy their sister locations a bit better.

As with most Ollie's, this store is chaotic at best. No rhyme or reason behind where items are stocked, what items are stocked and honestly the prices too. Oddly an adventure each time. I usually end up at Ollies out of curiosity much less than necessity. My most recent trip came while waiting for my pup to get groomed nearby, so I wandered around and actually picked up a few things including kitchen utensils and socks. Did I need either? Nope. The store is worn and could use some love conditionally, but it is kept clean. Service is hit and miss. Rarely anyone on the sales floor, so most of my interactions have been at the register. Overall, Ollie's is Ollie's, an I'm happy to swing by when in the area!

Today, March 14, 2025, my wife and I went to this Ollie's intending to purchase 960 square feet of…read moretheir fake grass. The size we wanted, 6 X 18 were not wiith the rest of its kind but we found 4, one on the display with other carpets, then there were 3 that were lying separately among other kinds of rugs in the cart with wheels that they probably use to move these rugs. We took the rugs that were on top and was able to get one, which we laid on the floor, a couple of feet from where we were, when a lady suddenly appeared from nowhere and in a not very hospitable tone uttered: "can I help you?". I was glad, the plastic covers were very dusty so the offer was great. Giving her a grateful smile, I said: "you will help us?". In a much more offensive tone than her first approach, she uttered: "that's what we're here for!". The tone was undeniably aggressive, and I could no longer hold back. I asked her if we were doing a wrong thing - trying to get together what we wanted, as I pointed to the rolls that we were trying to reach inside the carpet cart. When I looked back at her, she had already started hauling off the two rolls and returned them to the display. That was very uncalled for because she did not even have the courtesy to ask us if we were buying those rolls! There was no sign to seek assistance anywhere on the wall or we would have heeded. We are not the kind of people who would make a mess and leave; we would have returned what we moved and probably tidied up some (the place is not the tidiest, though she implied that it was and that we were messing it up. As we exchanged heated words, a white man came by and she shifted her warrior expression to a little smile, making my wife say: "why that sudden smile, because he's your manager?"... and it was when she said: "I am the manager". Very frustrated, my wife said, "let's go..." and we left. We were very upset because she did not try to listen to us. She must have had a bad experience with some people, but we are not that kind. Though Asians, we are both degree holders and respectful and have been speaking English since we were little. I have a feeling that because of our appearance she approached with an opinion already in her head. Today, she lost a customer and Ollie's, a sale today that would have been at least $500 because we were determined to buy the fake grass and start installing this afternoon. I am less able to control my temper but if someone is able to irritate my wife, I promise, THERE IS SOMETHING VERY WRONG WITH THE PERSON! I should've taken pictures, but I did not think about it.

I really like that they sell the 20oz Coke products. Most places only carry the 16oz versions. Although I have never really asked any questions of the staff, this place has always been friendly to me. I wish they had later hours in the evening and open on weekends, but I understand because their client base is probably not large enough to warrant paying someone to stay open later. Nashville seems to be in short supply for places like this. I'm glad Merchant Mart is here for concessions type businesses.

This place feels a lot like it... but... I don't know. Part of it is probably the location, right in the middle of industrial Elm Hill Pike. Part of it is the ambiance, which feels more like a small warehouse than a store. Part of it is the very blase attitude of the employees: they're very whatever, when I'm looking for a smile and some chitchat. They've got lots of great snacks and they're cheap cheap cheap. Stuff looks like vending food stuff and at least 25% cheaper. Loving that. There's janitorial stuff, business stuff, office supplies, that kind of thing. You can get in and out there faster than Sam's, and it's reasonably priced, but it's got a chilly attitude, and not very inviting.

While it's world-famous as the ultimate Dukes of Hazzard museum, what many people don't realize is that the "Cooter's" brand--led by Ben Jones himself--knows exactly how to serve up a Hazzard County experience that feels like home. Whether you're there for the General Lee or the atmosphere, here is a glowing review of the highlights you shouldn't miss. The food at the famous Cooter's Country Kitchen is all about "good eatin'"--unfussy, flavorful, and filling. We were there for launch, so I went with the Hazard Burger which is a massive, juicy staple that's seasoned to perfection. It's the kind of burger that requires two hands and a stack of napkins, often topped with crispy bacon and melted cheese. They recommend choice of the place is the Country Fried Steak which is breaded and fried to a golden crunch and smothered in a rich, peppery white gravy that would make Uncle Jesse proud. My wife however went with the Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich instead, which is a tender, slow-cooked pork piled high on a toasted bun. This highlight of this was for her, the sauce. She said that is was the perfect balance between sweet and tangy, capturing the essence of Tennessee barbecue. You can't have a Southern meal without the sides, and Cooter's keeps it classic and crispy. We opted for the Fried Pickles s are sliced thin, battered, and fried and unlike most fried pickles we had tried the breading stays on when you bit in to it, instead of sliding off. As usual they come with a side of ranch dressing to offset the pickle taste. We also had the Seasoned Fries, which thick-cut and dusted with a house signature spice blend, these aren't your average fast-food fries. They have enough "kick" to keep things interesting. Finally no BBQ meal is complete without the side of creamy coleslaw. You'll want to save a little room for a sweet finish, we highly recommend the Banana Pudding: This is the gold standard of Hazard County desserts. It's layered with vanilla wafers and fresh bananas, topped with a dollop of whipped cream. It's light, sweet, and tastes exactly like childhood. If you're lucky enough to catch the seasonal rotations, the apple or peach fried pies are legendary as well but are not always available. On a side note while you're there, make sure to check out the museum side of the house. The admission is free, and seeing the original costumes and the General Lee up close makes the meal taste that much better. We usually avoid theme focused restraunt themed places like this but this place is delving with a stop if you are travels in through Nashville. The price was on part with most places in the Nashville, area.
