Mr. Graham, you've earned this review by your conduct, so enjoy it, it's your reputation not mine…read more Pass on William Graham of Absolute Painting in Haverhill MA, for your next paint job. First, he said he was insured, that was a lie. Then he sent me a release of the homeowner liability form to sign. This was a small exterior touch up job on the fascia, some windows and some base paint for $520.00 dollars. Bill dropped off one painter at 9 am and returned at 5 pm then waited for the painter to finish. He didn't explain the details of the job to his painter, I had too. No drop clothes were used around the perimeter. By 6 pm, he said he was done but the paint chips were scattered around the perimeter of the property while he waited in his truck for his guy to finish. I had to clean it up. The next day, I saw several missed spots. I texted him twice about it, no reply. He got his MONEY, so he doesn't need to reply to me anymore. The signed contract included the details of the work but that doesn't matter to him, he doesn't care if the work was done right or not. He complained to me that his elderly painter is too slow, milks the job and pays him $20 per hour. So $180 for the painter @ 9 hours and $340 for him doing nothing. His Bio in the about section is BS, read it. Maybe if the job was 5k or higher, he would care more?? The reviews looked decent but add me to the negative one. I sent him this review beforehand to see if he would follow up and finish the job. I got nothing from him which proves he doesn't care. Stay clear if you can or don't pay in full unless your job is completed as agreed in writing. Good luck!

As soon as he realized his guys were going to slow (day 3) he tried to renegotiate with me. He took my payment and walked off the job without telling me. My house has been left in shambles. In my opinion he is a liar and a cheat. He stole from me and even worse left me home in horrible condition. Walls are half painted, wall paper is half removed, they accidentally removed the wrong wall paper and painted the wrong walls - even after we all walked the house together, marked the rooms, and I created a contract that detailed everything. I have to pay another painter to come and fix what he left. This is a nightmare. I suggest you stay away from him.

Frank was a no show to give me an estimate, no communication that he was running late or unable to make it. He accommodated coming early one morning to give an estimate that seemed fair. Fast forward to when they were scheduled to do the work, 30 minutes past start time no sign of Frank's team and no communication. Contact the office find out that they won't make it today. My experience has been poor communication and unreliableness. Won't be giving them a chance to reschedule and waste anymore of my time. It was a small job so maybe not worth the effort to provide good customer service. Seeing the business's response adding this - I understand things happen and I am not expecting perfection by any means but a little bit of respect for my time and communication would have been nice.

Finally we were at the point where I could cover the studs and insulation and I am glad I didn't leave that in scope for my GC. I looked around a bit and found these guys. I don't have much to add that the other reviews haven't. Frank was communicative throughout the process from quote through execution and final invoicing. His crew got started right after we approved the work and they were onsite every day working to get the work done. He brought over a crew of like 4 or 5 guys who hung the drywall, mudded, sanded, primed and painted the ceiling of the 2 garage bays, enclosed stairwell and 500sqft bonus room with high ceiling, in like 5 days! If my GC would have been scoped to do this it would have been a 2 month process. Frank personally did a walk through with me after. Highly recommend.
